Klaus's iconic character, made an appearance in Jonah Hex.

Man, he was such a good actor. I swear whenever I play Red Dead Redemption 2 I always think Rockstar made Joe inspired by Klaus.

glitching to guarma to study animals for my 100% playthrough and i’ve noticed a few things

there’s a lot more foliage, the colors of the soil has changed (the video i’m using for the glitch is only 3 weeks old and it’s a different color) and I just heard some mexico-esque ambient tunes

hmmmmmm…

because they don't trust random people who touch their code
they could do something bad

Sí. Se acabó. T2 mintió directamente en su conferencia telefónica diciendo "Red Dead Online ha recibido una serie de actualizaciones este trimestre".

vete a la mierda

He terminado.

Estoy fuera.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Rockstar adds a “Call to Arms” area on Guarma one day. Attacking and defending the Fort with those cannons and incoming attack boats and stuff.

yes i would love that. i feel like guarma could be used for some multiplayer fun. like races, deathmatches/pvp, fishing and even more. its the same thing with north yankton in gta 5. it had a lot of potential for more stuff to do. but they never expanded on it. i doubt that they will do anything with it at this point. especially with how they are treating rdo now. but it would have been a nice thing.

Still nothing on SteamDB, whereas GTAV keeps receiving several updates weekly in anticipation of E&E release.

I guess the good thing is that we will be done with E&E in about 5 weeks from now.

I’ve gotta say, despite how barebones RDO was in the beta days, I sure miss the hype from that era. you saw GTAO with all the heists and properties and thought “well, it only makes sense for us to have that too eventually!” flash forward to present day, and it’s pretty sad. we’ve got this unfinished product and a strong community that deserved much better.

Me too! My friends and I loved speculating about the future of RDO and the possibilities, we had so much optimism because we felt it was the next big thing after GTAO's success.

I had to break out this Gif that @Rev. Gnash used on here once. I always liked it but it’s fitting for the game right now.

People, for f*cks sake, take the placebo goggles off, Rockstar has made no changes whatsoever to Nuevo Paraíso or Guarma, they're exactly the same as Version 1.00 to the most recent version, stop being deluded.

It’s crazy that there are still full Free Roam sessions in OG Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer after almost 12 years. I joined a session the other night and it was fun as hell (yeah, it’s not as in depth as Red Dead Online) in terms of hunting and stuff) but it’s cool to get into a game every now and then. Gang Shootouts just hit different (the pre-lobby and standoffs were awesome) before getting right down to business.

The Free Roam narrator is missed (he just had that gritty western voice to his lines) and one thing I wish made it into Red Dead Online was the “text prompts” that appeared on screen giving information of what every player was up to. “Player name was mauled by a bear”, “Player fell to their death”, “Player entered this certain area on the map”, etc.. It just gave you a sense of what type of adventures the players were up to in your session.

@0:50 You gotta love it. Staring down the poor bastard as you are about to make him eat dust.

Will there be a day where they decide to update RDR2 to 60 fps on ps5 and new xbox (and also remove this weird blurr in the background..)

Well, there's at least something going on with Red Dead Online Standalone. It's definitely linked somehow with GTAO Standalone. Rockstar probably already split GTAO Standalone from GTAV and decided to do the same with RDO.

https://steamdb.info/app/1404210/history/

Rockstar is supposedly planning to separate the standalone version from the main game. Because as it stands now, RDO Standalone is technically RDR2, but with limited access. Such move would of course reduce the size of the Standalone version. Worth noting, the Blood Money update introduced some interesting changes too. It spilt the update.rpf into 4 parts, thus terminating the need to download the whole file again if Rockstar makes some changes. In other words, you don't have to download 2 to 4 GBs worth each time a new patch goes live for some slight changes.

Huh, that's interesting. So they seem to be unlinking the SP depots from the Online depots...

Looks to me they might indeed be fully separating the Online and SP experiences instead of making people have to download the entirety of RDR2. Same with GTA V E&E.

The fact these depots are still marked as unavailable might mean there's an update to at least make that change, in the horizon, for both flavours.

This is one of the reasons I never believed RDO was just left unsupported, they made architectural changes to RAGE's filesystem, not sure they'd bother if they were planning to just cancel the game lol. But game dev production pipelines are fragile and it could very well be the case they're gonna focus on GTA VI and GTA V E&E for the time being so... But those changes most likely mean an RDO/RDR2 update (even if not a content update...) is in the horizon.

We'll see.
