I'd happily pay for it if it was offered at the end of RDO's life, AND deadeye now slowed time due to being alone. Making it just like SP but with your OC

It's always what R* wants. Most developers want the players to decide how to play, or at least have some input on how they want to play, but not R*.

With all that said, I still enjoy RDO much more.

Yes it needs a big update, but all things being said, it's just miles ahead of gtao. 

I like the scale of RDO a lot more, I like the world and the map a lot more, I just don't have any reason to make money in RDO.

 

I went back for the island heist, probably ran it 50 times - had fun with it, but it's a game from 2013 and it shows.

I agree this game has a stunning map and it does offer some aspects that are good (hunting, crafting etc), but the lack freedom over here and lack of reasons to make money like you said, or even team up, is so poor that I'd say it's taken backward steps that really hurt the gameplay overall. No creator or video editor can't draw those communities like GTA can too, you don't see the subsection of communities really grow like with GTA that really give the game a life of its own.

 

With this game, we just don't know what to expect, DLC's are getting smaller, requested feedback just doesn't seem to inspire, the game needs more. Whereas with GTA, we know it's in for a big push soon and the DLC's are much bigger. This one is just ticking over it feels.

They’re selling shark cards enough to fill their pockets for years, this “turd” will last for decades either you play or not.

 

Also, if E&E brings the upgraded engine like RDR2, GTAO will succeed even more, even if there won’t be map extension, but I guess it will.

I don't think they can upgrade GTA V's engine to the latest rage, but I might be wrong. Even if they do, it will still look like a xbox 360 game.

I didn't say the game wasn't successful, I said it's a turd, and by that I mean the online portion is nothing but a money grab to sell shark cards.

McDonald's sells the most hamburgers, are they any good?

 

Simply put GTAO sux, it's old, and they are targeting kids for microtransactions.

Like whatever "stick up the saloons of St. Denis" is, they added little detail. They have a real gift for

being overly vague, as well as often making ambiguous statements.

Yeah, online actually takes place Player Side with the servers just as a primitive go-between; that is why

the mod menu whatever can ravage PC play.

 

Basically you are "offline", in a way, when in a solo lobby (but of course character saving still takes place there.)

I think at Rockstar, this game actually has VERY little "overhead"; they could probably just let it run forever, without

updating it, if it ever "died."

I'm curious about this survival mode, I'll check it out next week along the next QDC. 
Could be great if they do it the right way. Have heard some people really like some of the GTAO survivals. 
I don't have the slightest expectation I'll play it more than once, though.

R* have managed to lower my expectations for any kind of future content all the way down to the ground. Didn't use to be that way

I think it is rather obvious now that they are not the slightest bit able to keep a living online Old West world "alive".  Maybe this game would have benefited better if they would have offered an offline story starring our own characters, creating dlc packs now and then to add more to the world and to keep players involved, and just letting us run with how we want to play this game. Instead of this "everyone must play and share the world with others" nonsense that they seem to think is popular. 

All I am saying is that if they would offer RDO in a base setting that allows for actual game growth without the hinderance of online problems I think the game might fare better in the long run. Not that they should get rid of actual online play, it sounds like the online servers are nothing for them to keep up, so they should keep them going for the players who do want to expand their social game play.

 

The Red Dead player base is different, many of us don't play to be competitive with other players, we play because of the story.

 

This is possible, it's already in the game.

I really hope the new hat In the next quick draw pass comes in multiple colors. I've been waiting since release for the rodeo hat to be added to online. It would be a damn shame if we only got one color of such a simple hat.

From the moment when players reported banks being open some time before the update, I thought they were gonna be involved in the update somehow. Any idea what might have happened to that? Because none of the missions we got use banks, and we aren't getting any more opportunity missions for now at least. Of course there might be something else in this dripfeed, but I'd guess they would rather save banks for potential heists, not for blood money or telegram missions.

my guess something went wrong with the background script they had released which caused the doors to open, and bc it was shortly before the DLC they didn´t bother to fix it in the background script.

i would think they tried fixing some bug with doors, and accidently opened the banks up

It does, a user from reddit accessed it using mods and showcased all the different variations of the clothing and hats, from quickdraw club 1 to 4 here
I personally like the haverhill hat, the rowberrow necktie and that billy the kid dunster outfit with all its variations

Just did the new opportunity and the saloons missions. 4 missions in total. It was cool.
