I am going to be honest when I say that I have no idea who any of those DJ's are, it was my son who told me that they are based on actual people. But it is kind of smart for R* to go after the likes of Dr Dre, he's gonna be a more well known name for even old school metal/country fans like me. 

For RDRO they would have to get someone the likes of Willie Nelson to get my attention, although like you said, it isn't going to really grab me that much.

The thread should liven up in a few weeks time, during the penultimate period where the update is going to drop. I still think it's going to be early-mid December, but we'll see.

 

Anyways, I finished this stupid Halloween pass a few days ago. I know it was 15 levels, but for some reason this one felt like it took an eternity to level up. This game is so barren now it's unbelievable.

Didn't even join back up to play the Halloween content. Too busy playing other games. Hopefully the December update will give me a good enough reason to hit the trail again. I know it was hinted in the past, but more gambling games would be nice.

That we need to lower our expectations, lest we be disappointed at every turn? At least that was my take on it anyways. Think small and it doesn't hurt so much, but I'm a sucker for punishment and I don't lower my expectations for no one. I just walk away and find something else that meets my needs.

Same here. R* Social Club been down so long it's odd at this point. I haven't been able to play today and the dailies will reset in like 7 hours, lol.

Launcher/PC is back up as of 45 minutes ago.

Game was glitchier than usual. After fast travelling an outfit I had removed from my horse was now equipped and my long arm in the second slot was changed to a saddle icon.

And apparently their latest "release" (re-issue at best) is completely broken.

Not even remotely surprised.

IF ANYTHING, they'll add 3 new telegram missions, an ugly outfit for cold weather, a useless rifle variant and a coupon for 20 cans of baked beans!

That took a year to add though, I definitely respect Bethesda more than I respect R* but it wasn't instantaneous. They've got most their people working on Starfield, hence why Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 won't be coming out anytime soon. It takes quite a long time to get new 'big' updates but they do patches that fix things in the meantime.

 

Oh and.... 11 million players, though how many are active who knows! I bet there's more playing than are playing RDO though and serves them right, nobody wanted a cowboy sim where you couldn't be an outlaw! That's like playing GTA and all you can do is work at Burgershot or Cluckinbell, f*ck that! f*ck Naturalist hippies, f*ck roaming the map for collectibles and f*ck working for the government! I wanna rob and kill people for a living, not be a goodie two shoes!

What I mean is that Bethesda listened to the players, what they wanted despite it going against their vision of the game and the players responded favourably. R* on the other hand refuses to listen to the player base screaming in their faces and is losing players because of it.

They had the perfect chance to make it more than an Outlaw game. They had a chance to make it a Western Sim. I don't mean a literal Simulator but add stuff more than what we have now and stop locking sh*t behind timers and "Premium Currency", we dont want it, we never wanted it so locking what sh*tty lethargic content you can dribble out behind more paywalls is not doing the game any favours.

Bethesda still makes money off their game, R* on the other hand....

I hate the concept of the atom store but the whales support the game. R* have their heads up their asses and keep pricing things gold heavy in cost yet none of it is actually worth buying, I already have a horse I like and unless we get Undead Nightmare horses I have no reason to buy more. Nor do I need to buy wagon paint, gun liveries or other nonsense.

 

Property is a perfect money sink and they added one to GTA in the form of the (useless) yacht ages before they added most of the content. R* are satisfied with us being hobos when property would probably get some gold sales and support the game, like if I needed gold to buy a place in Saint Denis I'd do it! I'd buy gold for the Nightmare horses too(Though I have 600 gold so chances are I won't need to)

 

Low player count and income is why they don't care. Ubisoft ditched Watch Dogs Legion for the same reason, Assassin's Creed Valhalla made them a LOT on microtransactions and helped fund year two of free content. It is completely R*'s fault, players aren't to be blamed. In fact I'd only blame people that HAVE bought gold outside of the one time $5 'special' they had. Don't support a game that won't give you want ya want

And I still haven't played 76, but I give Bethesda mad respect for listening to their players. It's literally all that I am asking for.

That and honesty, I mean if R* hasn't got the means to add something we are asking for due to some technical limitations or something just tell us, sure we may be disappointed but we won't be focused on the possibility of that happening and can move onto other things.

 I would pay money for the Old West R* sim game in a heartbeat. All I want is to shape the world around my character and the story I am going with, that and play with family and friends when the urge comes.

Me too, and the opportunity to leave the damn camp behind. Just a step up would be fine, like a cot in one of the hotels or saloons. Maybe we can buy room and board in one of the homesteads?

 

I'd also like to see more things that add NPC life to the game that we can be involved in, like more random events. Riding down and returning a stolen horse, helping one of the working girls in trouble, you know stuff that made the first game a bit more alive.

And talking about the working girls, why can they flirt like heck with my boy but he cannot really reciprocate any of that attention back to them? 

In GTAO my Ian can spend the night getting lap dances and I think he can pick up the ladies on the street if he's in the right vehicle. But all Ruvik can do is emote them back and sadly walk away, a poor lonely boy who isn't worth a nice warm bath with good company. 

 

For clarification, no I don't spend my time playing GTA getting lap dances,  but you know, my characters are growing boys and deserve some company. And my outlaw Ruvik really could use a real bath now and then.
