I love going on those free roam caravan escort missions.  Sitting at the front of the wagon with a shotgun in my hands enjoying the beautiful scenery.

 

You would see abandoned wagons along the way too, all with no wheels and the canvas missing.

I hang out mostly in New Austin since that was the one less explored in story mode but it's pretty empty, rarely I see a player there aside Blackwater and that other town.

It'd be nice if that one had something more to it at least in the online mode, I did complete the online side missions it has there with other players but is there anything else?

Not much that I've found. I usually just grab buried jewelry and arrowheads while out there.

I had to go to Fort Mercer for an objective tonight and thought it wold be a great spot for a heist or mission set.

Some dope tried to lasso me off my horse outside Valentine.  That dope then learned a lesson at the hands of CWF.

 

If he did that to me on a covered wagon, I would have barbecued his ass.

I love seeing windmills.  I took the snap of this one in Emerald Ranch:

I also saw one in the desert town of Tumbleweed.  I think those two locations only have windmills.

I think there is one at Hanging Dog Ranch as well.

For what it's worth, my advice is to just do the stuff you like most so the game doesn't feel grindy.

Since they're not adding anything for the foreseeable future (if ever), don't be in too big of a hurry to get to your goal, just enjoy the ride.

You will get there easily, and once you have all you need there is little to buy unless you're a completist and just want to collect it all.

The fun is in the journey, not the destination IMO.

Collectibles, trader, and moonshiner in conjunction. I focused on Cripps’ business during Trader week month, on Marcel’s business during Moonshiner week month, and sold all my collectibles in bulk to Madam Nazar during collector’s week month.

 

Don’t force or rush yourself to get to that 100K as soon as possible, you’re not in any hurry. I collected this much cash simply because I had nothing to spend it on.
