According to Color the Stadia players only going to transfer gold/cash and level and not what they own.......

Well that's a way of "not" doing it right..

So if a player were to transfer they would have to go back in and purchase everything again?

What about the special items, and the limited time items? Are they just out of luck for those too?

I feel bad for anyone who was excited about the transfer ability to Stadia, because that right there would be a deal breaker for me. 😮

Tez said Rockstar is only pausing RDR Re-master, not abandoning it completely. My hope is that after they get GTAVI in a good-place development wise, Rockstar San Diego can pivot back to RDR re-master and release with an updated RDO that expands map to Mexico and breathe new life into RDO.

Yes and the kicker is that this is only for players who has played the latest 30 days on Stadia...... So i hope they could ad back limited cloth. Even if we have a month long event weeks they could do the cloth weekly event....

Yeah riiiiiiiiggght! Paused?! 🙄 They don´t have the balls to tell the truth! But I WILL be pleasant surprised if they ad RDR  to RDR 2 map.

Did he say this recently or a few months ago?

Is that something recent? I was under the perception that they weren't going to do any remakes because the GTA ones did not go over so well.

Maybe they are trying to steer the RDR fans back with comments like that?

Seeing how well RDR2 has sold, it makes no sense (to me) not to re-master RDR for pc and consoles. I mean they can use alot of RDR2 and they have the entire storyline, screenplay etc.  Surely it must be a real timesaver in comparison to a new project. It wold fit very well in-between RDR2 and hopefully a future RDR3.

I’ve moved over from PlayStation to PC and can’t be bothered starting Online again from scratch when the grind is so relentless. I have over 750 gold bars tied to my PlayStation account though, all earned from collecting a few years ago. Can I do anything with that currency, like transfer or donate it, or will it just sit there untouched forever?

It didn't make much sense to me either. The resources are literally already there in the game files within the second game, so it was possible to make a game that was far better than the simple reskinning that they did for the GTA remakes.

What the fans wanted to see in the GTA releases was even more possible with RDR, and they decided not to do it because the GTA ones went down so badly?

The company is so far up the GTA back end that they cannot fathom that their other games just might have a fighting chance, I truly believe that this is what is going on here.

Unfortunately that money will sit with that character on that account, there is no way to share or donate your profits to another player or another account.

For a company that wanted us to be social in game they sure made it hard to do when one cannot even buy a fellow player a drink at the bar. 🤨

Each to their own, I guess. It's absolutely not a justifiable reason for me to abandon a few hundred hours of progress, purchases and completed Outlaw Passes.

So here I shall remain on my grouchy throne, awaiting that which will not come.

Literally the easiest thing they could do is to recycle previous passes.

Even without including the chits for gold bars they'd be ridiculously popular.

Allowing players to transfer once or maybe twice, perhaps at the cost of some gold, would also be a valuable option (as long as the transfer wasn't theabsolute  joke they made of the Stadia transfer).

What went wrong with the Stadia transfer, exactly?

They limited it to only Xp and currencies (except crapitale apparently), meaning nothing that the player had purchased, especially limited items, and then only if the player had played within the previous 30 days.

I see no valid reasons for such extreme and arbitrary limitations.

Just another example of greedstar getting an opportunity to make some good PR and completely blowing it.

So that poor chap who played for like 6000 hours just gets to keep his money and levels.

Lovely...

It's like the equivalent of "All I got was this lousy t-shirt".

Sorry to burst your bubble, but R* hasn't yet made GTA V in a good place development, so how should they success with GTA VI?

No, RDR2 is DEAD like a bad beaten horse, and maybe R* should focus more to make a "break free" from T2 and Zelnick...
And become a independent comapny again...

Contrary to popular belief, R* was never an independent company. It was created under the T2 umbrella. And at this point, all of their IPs are owned by T2, so there's practically zero chance of R* even attempting to leave them. And I think R* enjoys the freedom to be able to take an almost indefinite amount of time on each new project nowadays, which is solely possible due to GTAO, especially now that they're trying to reduce crunch.

The company was established in December 1998 as a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, using the assets Take-Two had previously acquired from BMG Interactive. Founding members of the company were Terry Donovan, Gary Foreman, Dan and Sam Houser, and Jamie King, who worked for Take-Two at the time, and of which the Houser brothers were previously executives at BMG Interactive. Sam Houser heads the studio as president.

After Rockstar basically (at least for now) pulled the plug on RDO, I told myself that I would play daily until I reached 3K gold bars, and while I have been in the process of finishing the last day of my 0,25 gold payout I have 3014 gold bars. I also finished with a 9/9 and 7/7 for the dailies, making my last stand in Call of Arms in Armadillo surviving all 10 waves as well.

It feels like a suitable and nice ending for daily playing for me. I have played online onm PC since jan 2020. I will follow this forum of course and I will also follow the further potential development of the game and check in if there is new content, telegram missions etc or just perhaps something bigger in the future, but as of now I will not play the game on a daily basis anymore. Though I still have some legendary bounties to complete so I still have some incentive to play a little once in a while.  I have seldom, if ever been so involved in a gaming world as I have in RDR2 , its fantastic and I love it to bits and my gaming heart is actually a bit sad but the neglected potential in this game has worn me down enough to stop playing it as a main game.
