So... Is anyone still actually playing this game?

I wanna log on but y'know... There's nothing to do.

Yeah, I've started on PC. Tbh, feel good playing it again.

Is anything new this month?

We'll find out soon.

I do some daily challenges every day. I've noticed 23-25 player lobbies on PS4/5...

Just not sure if we're the only 25 people in the whole world playing at that time.

Same here! It rarely drop below 15 when playing on ps5. Random encounters are rare but pop up from time to time.

So no bonuses this month then....?

A hearse wagon drawn by a coal black Kladruber or Turk would be perfect, it would not look right being pulled by the normal carriage horses that we get in game. At that point they can have my gold.

You know one thing that they could give us without them having to do much extra work, that black Shire from SP that we get to take and sell while playing Arthur. I would buy that big brute in a heartbeat if they put him in online, and he's a spooky color, so introducing him now would fit. 😁

Fortunately for R* my son does not have this pass and he has never done any of the Halloween showdowns so he wants to log in and play, otherwise I probably would skip out on most of the festivities this year.

By now we should be dealing with actual supernatural events going on in the free roam map.  I mean undead creatures turning up every so often would be a thrill. Riding into certain areas where the people could be infected and ready to eat our innards, meeting up with odd NPC characters who actively need our help or who want to tie our characters up and use them as a sacrifice to whatever old god they worship.

They already have the Nightfolk, the cannibal rednecks in the hills, the Skinners, even that creepy old mambo priestess that gives Arthur some advice in SP. They have so many assets to have used in their inventory, it's such a waste.

Warning I'm gonna be posting some spoilers for John,

Spoiler

I mean wasn't it crazy when we were riding with John up into Tall Trees and started seeing the quaint little messages that the Skinners were leaving us. Those bodies are assets in the game that they could have used to place around the map and give it a scary feel.

That was what I was hoping to see in future Halloween events.

Instead of putting the cults and psychos into the showdowns, they could have easily just set them all across the map for us to explore.

Halloween in RDO was at one time something I looked forward too eagerly, now I have to make my own fun with it..

And every story can lead the player to a location where they experience ghostly sounds and apparitions that tell the truth to the lore. The player is also able to find hidden boxes that contain parts to a gun.

Should the player listen to all of the tales and find all of the locations/parts they are able to take the parts to a gunsmith who is able to construct a really nice rifle that we only get through this event.

I love visiting my moonshine shack.  I like to play along with the band while my moonshine is brewing away.

Van Horn is to the east of my moonshine shack so I must head over there sometime and take a few snaps of the place.

Blackwater is a lovely place to go wagon spotting.

it's great to see all types of wagons there.  Covered wagons, wagons with the covers removed, open back wagons and stage-coaches.

@Covered Wagon Fan Have you ever found any wagons with a dog chilling in the back? Someone posted a screenshot of a wagon dog to the RDO subreddit, but they had found it in story mode. Would be a neat find assuming the devs haven't disabled it from spawning in online.

I never have.  I have seen people sitting in the back of those longer type wagons, but no dogs.  What type of wagon was it with the dog in the back you saw in the subreddit?

I will playing it again tonight, so if I see a dog in the back of a wagon, I will take a photo of it.

It was one of the covered wagons. They spotted it near Rhodes.

Rhodes is a lovely town.

yes i totally agree. the red soil makes it feel so unique. i wouldn't say Rhodes is my favorite town. but it's definitely in the top 3. it certainly has a nice southern charm.

It would be nice to be able to have my hunting hound Fern riding in the back of my trader wagon.. You know, I would pay gold for that opportunity.

Just to be able to have her out there flushing the fowl out of the brush for me to hunt would be great fun, maybe chasing the raccoons up the tree or the rabbits out of their holes. Give me two good hunting dogs and we can go bear hunting, but nooooo!

I guess they would troll us anyways, probably give us a dog like this annoying arse. lol

Man I hated that dog, 😒

My gunslinger hails from there, mainly because I love the town's aesthetic. Sure it's a bit dusty, and if you own a light colored horse it comes out looking like a ginger chestnut, but there's just something about the town that draws me to it more often.

^ As you just about enter Rhodes, the red dust appears on the cover on the wagon.  Not long after you leave the town, the dust is gone.  They are great to be out in the rain as you can climb into the back and shelter from the rain.

Another thing about Rhodes is when you are there at night and you look east, you can see the bright lights of Saint Denis.

Going to hunt with the dog would be awesome, it would fetch all the birds and rabbits you shoot.

They could at least let us play fetch with our dogs. They've already animated that interaction for the NPCs so I'd assume it wouldn't be too hard to add. And it'd be neat if our dogs had a chance of bringing us a random bit of small game whenever we return to camp. As it is now, my camp dog isn't much more than an ornament that I occasionally pet for a daily.

I've been through desert on wagon with no name,

In the back, there was bags of grain.

The wagon had a cover to stop the rain,

From falling onto the grain😉
