This is what they decided to abandon for a 9year old car game lmfao

But the new car game is going to be different... somehow? 😉

Oh that's right! We may get to play as a girl character, cause that makes all the difference.

I mean I would love to be able to have the option for a secondary character to make a female gunslinger, but obviously R* thinks I would rather play some ultra (cheesy) tough chic in GTA6 instead.

No, no I do not. 🙄

I had a disaster bringing a wagon of moonshine to a customer yesterday.  I failed to stop at a revenue checkpoint which led to the revenue folk opening fire on me.  Anyway, I managed to frantically escape them, only for them to catch up with me which led to me returning fire at them and my wagon getting blown up.   $225 became $0.

Oh well.

it will also be in a whole new map. with a new story mode. and new things to do. on much better graphics. you don't have to get gta 6. but to say that it's going to be the same as gta 5 is a bit dumb. sure it will have some things be the same as gta 5. but i think overall it will look and feel a lot different from gta 5. just like how gta 5 looks and feels different from gta 4. even though they have some similar features. i am just as upset about red dead redemption 2 and online being abandoned. but im still looking forward to gta 6.

I still play original RDR multiplayer when i want to have some fun on weekends. Haven't turned on RDO in a year or so.

Every time I try that I usually get kicked within a couple of minutes by the 2-3 people in the server.  👍

If it has graphics and world immersion similar to RDR2, then GTA6 will be freaking awesome! It still pisses me off that they didn't even try to make RDO a good game.

I wish they would sell it!

I think they tried to make RDO a good game (and it is), but priorities changed along the way.

In my opinion RDO is still a very very good game, its just that there is not enough content in order for the game to reach its full potential. Many players complain about the content in RDO, I  do not, actually I think basically all the content is good, there just isn`t enough.

What will truly be different?

Sure you get a new map, but is it going to be another city that players drive through so fast that they barely even acknowledge the street signs? The thing with a big GTA map is the fact that there are lots of buildings, too much going on, it makes the map cluttered and hard to appreciate.

Of course there is probably going to be shooting, lots of shooting. Sort of like when you watch a Michael Bay movie, you got to expect the predictable explosions. There's going to be cars to drive, over the top trope characters, (but not so over the top now mind you, because they gotta tame stuff down), and some thrown together story that R* thinks is going to be different and new. I wonder what tv shows and films that they are going to draw their scripts from this time?

I might be one of the small number who don't really get excited about GTA, but for me there is not much of a difference between the games. All installments have the same types of characters, the same game play, some just have better music than others.  (Vice City👍 ).

On the new systems the graphics are going to be a light bit better, that is true.

I personally just like to play a game with a good foundation, graphics just aren't as big a deal for me. I mean they can revamp a game with better graphics and gameplay and not even come close to making it as great as the original. Take Resident Evil 2, for example. The original game had depth, the new game was just graphics and nothing else. It wasn't a terrible game, but I didn't get the satisfaction of beating it or playing it as I did the original, horrible camera views and all.

The new GTA just isn't going to give me anything that I can't already find in games I'm already invested in.

I'm happy that you are excited for the new GTA, and I don't want to ruin that for you or anyone else, but I am not and will still be passing on that one. Partially because I am frustrated with the whole RDO thing, partially because I do not trust the company and most of all I am eagerly waiting for a game that is going to set itself apart from anything that's already available to play.

I don't think R* has the ability to not make just yet "another" GTA game. They are so locked up in that literal coffin that they can't see anything but fast cars and explosions.

Should they expand their resources and bring a game to the table that isn't just a gun and car show I may be back.

Remember this is just my opinion, dumb as it all may be. 😉😊 And you know I value your opinion @Lemoyne outlaw I do hope that GTA6 ends up being the game that you are wanting it to be, and that you enjoy it when it is out. 🤗

One of the best out there, even as basic as it is. So much potential is just being thrown away. 🥺

Agreed.

What content there is ranges from very good to poor, but there is enough available so you can skip the crap (once you've levelled up enough to get the perks you want) and only do the things that are more enjoyable or that you haven't done in a while.

The big issue is that the content stops around about a point that I'd say is from 1/4 to 1/2 of a finished game experience.

There were hopes they would add some expensive 'end game' stuff to work towards instead of just adding more ways to make money (and gold).

That's the biggest issue with both RDO and GTAO in terms of content: they just add more businesses but nothing big to buy when the money's deposited.

These games were tailor made to showcase some serious conspicuous consumption, but that never really happened in GTA and didn't even begin in RDO.

Instead both are geared more toward players in the low to mid tier ranks who don't quite have all the most useful toys.

In both cases stupidly expensive properties with deep customization options (which should be individually very expensive and not included in the original purchase price, perhaps tied to missions to unlock availability) would solve issues both for players and the game's profit margins.

It would give the veteran players something to reinvest themselves into the game and bleed off much or all of their hoards, and it would also increase the number of players buying in-game currency.

Add heists& bank/train robberies in RDO and the vast majority of players would be pretty darn happy.

A little bummed out that R* is recycling the Halloween pass from last year. The only good thing about that is that players who missed out on it can get those items.

There was some good stuff in that pass, so I'm glad.

Ahh, I’m also disappointed to hear it will be the same pass.
However, I am excited I can get that Skull lantern I missed last year. My moonshine bar has been set to the Gothic Decor ever since I unlocked it, I love that interior.

The Skull lantern is an absolute beauty; anyone that missed that one is in for a treat! And saaame. That creepy gothic decor is the chef's kiss. 👌

Listen to me, all of you, it's official, Rockstar Games broke RDR2'S TAA with Patch 1.31.

I just reinstalled the game to play on Version 1.00 and finally finished Chapter 1, I wanted to see if the aliasing problem was placebo or not, and my God it definitely isn't, the game is so much crisper on Version 1.00 with the TAA working properly, just like it was until Patch 1.26 or whatever the last one before the most recent one was called. I advise you all to reinstall the game without updating it and see for yourselves how much better looking Version 1.00 is than Patch 1.31, things like hair, beards, trees, overall foliage, textures and more were so much crisper before the most recent patch, I implore you people, please test for yourselves and share this problem with Rockstar Games and the rest of the RDR2 community, RDR2 has become unplayable on the basic Xbox One and maybe on the basic PlayStation 4 too, you people will have to check for yourselves on this one though, I can only speak for the one I got.

I copied and pasted this here from my topic because this problem was caused by RDO's most recent update, which added nothing and broke the game's graphics even worse than any other update before, I compared Version 1.00 with Patch 1.31 only on the Xbox One Fat/S, so I don't know if or how this problem also affects Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 Fat/Slim, PlayStation 4 Pro... you'll have to test for yourselves to know about them.

It's a neat lantern, and  I'm glad to hear that the players who didn't get it last time are going to have that chance.

What would be nice is if they gave us different textures to customize the skull and the lights that it emits this go around too. 😁

That's a real fine skull lantern you are holding in Annesburg.

The wagons parked up by the train station there could do with new canvas.

Red Dead 3 cleverly subsumed into GTA6, payoff for establishing shared lore and that games take place in same universe. Time jumps like Assassin's Creed.

Just daydreamin'...

Why not the both games in the same universe is bonkers...

At least we can enjoy karma coming back to rockstar for their behavior over the last few years. Could care less if it delays gta 6 longer, they get what they deserve for their insane level of greed, lack of trying to fix glaring issue like hacking, peer2peer sever problems, ignoring the fans 95% of the time, leaving RDO players in the dark for 3 years only to just drop RDO outright for the 9 year old cash cow. I could keep going but you get the point they had this coming for the years of s hitty behavior.

I prefer the shorter types of covered wagon in the game:

I love how you can see the stitching on the canvas and how it is tied on:
