If anyone dual boots Linux or games on Linux, R* have added official app mappings for RDR2 to use Proton Experimental on Steam, making it "supported" on that platform.

 

R* do have an entirely native Linux build of RDR2 used on the Stadia (whose cloud servers are Debian based) but I'm assuming releasing that into the wild would be a ton more work to maintain as Linux comes with its own set of problems, so with this they'd just need to maintain the Windows build as they already are, and just have Linux users use Proton which works just fine too (RDR2 runs great on the SteamDeck using Proton, especially as it uses Vulkan which is OS-agnostic).

Am I the only one noticing major problems with aliasing after they made changes to RDR2's TAA? Looks like it also affected the console versions, at least the basic ones with lower resolution (XB1F/XB1S/PS4F/PS4P). Things like trees, overall foliage and more looks grainy, especially during cutscenes, you can easily notice this on the characters hair.

So IF someone knows how to set up a server they could technically create their own RDO server?

I was just in Blackwater and things were totally and utterly crazy over there. It made me forget about the content drought, but it also reminded me that we, the people, we make the game alive. Rockstar delivers content when they do, but we play it, we live it, we work for it. I want you all to know that despite this drought, someday we'll all realize how just a small population can make a game feel alive and fun. Ignore the hackers, the cheaters, and the losers who make you miserable, the rest of us are legends.

Lol that's not how that works, Linux is just an operating system like Windows.  Both can run servers if prepared for that effect, but not RDO servers just because it's running on that specific platform.

 

Also, Rockstar's online services servers are on Windows Server, ironically, so...

Talking about bugs showing up.... The armored wagon is back in St Denis after this update.... And secondly what is this that Halloween Pass 2 is coming back?

 

Did R* shoot themself in the foot when basically removing all support for RDO and just going back to shoot themself in the other foot just for good measure when realizing that how popular the online part is and ad back an old pass?

Did one and it was meh.... Did the one where we are suppose to rescue some 7 day of something something cult members...... At least there wasn´t ad infinitum enemies!

New and Tough Day one are, but still easy (use tonics and Paint It Black card), I've completed them on PC playing with controller.

If they just added the movie maker editor thing like in gta v i would be satisfied and would not ask more.

..and i wish they make some of the time limited items from the outlaws passes return because i missed so much things i wanted.

 

..well and fix the broken things (like one of the long hair styles that turned in to wig thats about to fly away in the wind lol)

 

So one dlc and i would not ask more.

Movie editor mode like in gta v.

Some new items to the trapper and stores.

Big outlaws pass with all the earlier passes items returning.

I would pay for it.

 

If they do not do any of this i feel like im getting pc and play with mods because maybe there is mod that works as the gtav movie editor mode??

(or i dont know if my laptop would run this game)

Another ruined opportunity.

Should have been "collect the Legendary Bison pelt plus 50 3-star normal bison pelts" to earn X, etc...

Do the same for all the other animals.

People would have been out hunting for months.

Long time ago I did the prison Break Heist in the movie maker for GTAO, it was fun!!!

Maybe if they return to the game after the release of GTAVI

 

They could had given us one big update and a smaller one where they just added stuff to old updates....

Is it just me or are lobbies bigger after the update? Before the update there was around 10 to 15 in every lobby and now it is around 18 to 26..... With a host of problem added.....
