I'm playing to see if the TAA change made in the PC version have also affected the console versions too, it may be placebo, but the game seems to be less blurry, but at the same time with more aliasing than before, I'm going to play a little more to see.

8th gen consoles have PC-like architecture (PS4 especially) so it's not a surprise to see the game looking better on PS4/Xbox One too after today's patch.

When PC users received DLSS support with last year's summer update, the game ran alot smoother and looked much sharper on my PS4 as well afterwards, no placebo effect.

It's hard to tell because of the lower resolution on Xbox One Fat/S, 1536x864p.

Well, consoles use TAA too so any changes made to that will have made it to consoles too I'd assume.

OMG god bless AMD and thank you Rockstar for implementing Fidelity FSR. Although I’ve been sceptical about upscaling algorithms in general, I just experienced AMD FSR for the first time in my life and that too, on a Rockstar title, and I just can’t believe how well the game runs and looks. Game just looks entirely new, so crisp, so smooth, so sharp with absolutely no loss in quality. I don’t have a RTX GPU so I never got the chance to experience DLSS, but man after reading through AMD’s blog on how it works without machine learning, I’m just so grateful for them for making this, thank you AMD!!

You know this game has story mode right

Aye, that it does.

But as much as I love, adore, obsess,😉 over Mr. Arthur Morgan and that stubborn oaf John Marston. I would love to experience the ease of having the world to myself with the character that I gave life to.

It's not just about playing the game, it's about immersing ourselves into the game.

RDR2 has basically given me three games to play in one world, Arthur's game is much different than John's, and both of them have a very different experience in the world than my own gunslinger. As long as they are not going to care about online anymore they could at least give us the option to play a private server free of another player's presence.

Not that I want to play in an empty server all of the time, but sometimes it would be a pleasant choice to have.

Completed the game three times, once at 100%, I like my Online character, I like the story I have made for him.

People wanting to play an online multiplayer game without other players will remain a mystery to me especially a game like RDO that offers so many mechanism to avoid interactions with other players

Speaking for myself.

My number one reason for playing online; was the character creation.

If there was a way for my character, to join Dutch and Arthur in SP, as a mute sidekick (like Cuba Gooding in Lightning Jack).

Well, I would never play online.

People want to create their own characters, make their one stories, play the game the way they want which includes not interacting with other players.

Invite-lobbies in GTAO did just that and it was brilliant.

So, then... they've added FSR 2.0 makes me wonder if there's a PS5\XSX version in-development. They didn't even add a 60fps toggle for current versions after so many requests.

Rockstar didn't even bother to patch GTAV on Pro/One X, and that has been their flagship title for almost a decade now. I'd be extremely surprised if they ever patched RDR2 for free on current-gen consoles.

A friend and I noticed that the game on PS4/PS5 is more beautiful, sharper and with more vivid colors, and it seems that the Dawn distance of the game has decreased a little.

The draw distance is the same as before, but I'm noticing differences regarding the TAA.

Seems that you are speaking for me as well, my friend. 😁

If I could play my RDO character in an offline SP map, I would not need the online server.

A mystery?  😕

Here's a few reasons which may solve that riddle:

cheaters, idiots, cheaters, jackasses who think your time is their time, cheaters, AFKers who clutter up modes that could be fun, cheaters, broken matchmaking, cheaters, the fact the game still runs better when you're alone, and oh yeah...cheaters.

I think that covers it.

Is it really that hard to comprehend that people want to play the multiplayer aspect of the game alone and by themselves and not have to deal with griefers? One of the reasons why I stopped playing was because I would get teleported by some cheating f*ck on top of a roof or have my character exploding randomly and dying.

It remains a 'mYsTeRy' to me as to how people can't understand that.

This is stating the obvious, but according to @rollschuh2282 the catalog version ID changed from mp009 to mptmu1.

009 refers to the Blood Money update. "tmu1" likely refers to Telegram Update 1. Could be a placeholder for all we know, but we already know the state of the game. I guess we could be expecting telegram missions in December as well.

well in the newswire they called it: Title Management Update

so i think it stands for MultiPlayer Title Management Update 1

Title Management Update as said above probably, that is most likely what they're calling all future patches/updates that change DLC data - as they won't be DLC's themselves but fixes.

Let's see if official FSR2 patch does a better job!

How does it look in motion though? Static screens show differences that are obvious when comparing them side by side but those differences aren't that noticeable in normal play, but things like ghosting caused by this tech can be one of those "once you see it you can't unsee it" type problems.

Remember that this is supposed to be upscaling tech (so it decreases your game's resolution then scales it back using an algorithm) to improve performance whilst keeping visuals as much as *possible*. AMD's solution is manufacturer-agnostic, and given it doesn't even use any fancy AI or machine learning stuff, it's quite good. DLSS will always have a slight advantage although in some games the difference is barely noticeable and FSR 2.0 is miles ahead of 1.0.

I've tested Quality Mode and 50% sharpness and the only issue I've found is that character hair seems to ghost quite a bit because of R*'s hair solution. Lots of dithering etc. which solutions like FSR don't like. Everything else looks more than acceptable to me and it looked pretty much close to native if not just like it depending on the situation. Certainly better than TAA.

I've logged in RDO today and found out that new Telegrams were in post office again. Picked them up and they weren't marked as completed... 🤷‍♂️

Just like I've grabbed them for the first time.

Edit: logged in again, had missions completed.

Have they fixed the posse photo problems yet?

It would be nice to be able to get a posse photo in the actual photo booth with my family without the poses being all messed up. 🤔

Looks like Rockstar could be bringing back the Halloween Pass 2 this year.
