Don´t you have to wait out the timer for that?

For maximum payout you have to let the clock wind down to 2 minutes.

ok thanks, do all the roles require 15gold? ive only got like 1 gold. i just have to grind 0.15 gold at a time till i get 15?

You have any treasure maps? You can loot them from NPC enemies (stranger missions, hideouts, dynamic events, maps found on trees and you will receive gift maps when your rank increases).

Combine that with general daily challenges; in two weeks time,  you will have enough gold to purchase the bounty hunter role.  Playing that will accumulate enough gold, money and the occasional treasure map to get you to a comfortable financial position for your character.

That is the formula, I used.

I thought so. Been a long time since I've paid attention to the rewards for them and all.

@concolt I think the eight generation of consoles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighth_generation_of_video_game_consoles ) are to weak to handle the online game. When GTAO was released back in 2013 R* said that they couldn´t have the system handling both players and animals. But in all seriousness aren´t animals and npc the same? Or does the the p2p system take so much horsepower from the hardware that handling all other things in the game is a uphill struggle?

I've talked about this issue before on the GTAO subfourm but, yes the P2P system does take up that much power. I don't know if anyone has tried to host a gamespy server on Halo Custom Edition or something from back then but there were two ways. Paying for a dedicated server (The best option and often the least buggy possible), or direct system hosting (not proper term but you get the point). The latter case had many issues me and a few friends back in the day on Halo Custom Edition. Namely host ping....what is host ping you ask? A SCP event.....well in all seriousness my friend who was hosting went from 0 ping (because he was host) to nearly 800+ and his PC hard crashed the first time it happened. We never figured it out, but it happened a few other times and he closed the game before the BSoD. I've for a long time deeply suspected some of GTAO's insanely broken moments in lobbies are do to host ping which seem more like an extreme version of a memory leak, which should explain why P2P might take up so much power. Your system as the host of a P2P is the server. Effectively making the host system pull double duty. The system of P2P was dated by the time CS:Source released for this reason tbh. But that's what I've personally experienced. Blaming the consoles is just an excuse R* is making for cheaping out on server systems.....let alone the fact that Dedicated Servers would solve many of the issues R* seems to care about....money glitches which a lot work only because of how P2P works (And god mode glitches work because of how P2P works).

God willing, there will be a shake up, at that company. And the new boss will understand, the concept of brand reputation.

They are a pretty amazing artist though, I was going to have a commission of my RDRO character but they were booked solid. 😊

Check out these fans that care more about RDR2 than we do.

I think we always have cared more, for them the game is money, but for some of us the game/story meant more than that.

Seriously they probably do not even realize just how big the fandom is for RDR and I was hoping that it would remain relevant for some time before the interest begins to fade away. It took decades for the Star Wars fandom to start to fizzle off, and that it only survived due to the fact that the movies garnished a fanbase that was hungry enough to keep the world alive when the movies were no longer relevant themselves.

The only reason that monster of a fandom is failing is due to bad choices by those who took control of the entire entity, just like with RDR, but unfortunately RDR isn't as big and won't last as long.

Lol, it is rather funny how they will randomly promote something just to try and garner interest for their game now, when all they have to do us simply put some effort into the game? Something they do not seem to want to do?

We can only hope, but I think it may be too late to save RDRO.

Well, stick with it. There has been no word on any next gen update, or anything RDO related for that matter, and there has been nothing added to the game in a year but if some want to hold out hope, more power to them.

A lot of writers released books that become cannon that Disney later just said that is not lore anymore.

I've been experiencing some weird bugs lately. I ran across two different players that were transparent while outside of a safe zone (one was doing a stranger mission) but the rest of the players I met during that session appeared normally. Bounty killed message popping up even though the bounties weren't dead. A clone of my horse standing in the middle of the road outside Valentine, which was a first as it's usually other players' horses I see. I can't tell if these bugs are due to R* tinkering with the game or my ps4 is simply showing its age.

The safe zone seems to be expanded around Emerald station.... I had two old bugs this week! 1. Was the fast travel and leave the horse behind and 2. was I can´t summon my wagons bug....

Every store for about 5 to 6 hours last night until I decided to do a Tryhard and hit the RDO "Respawn" button and commit self forever box:

eTj5ZGW.png

Not even the wardrobe worked, apparently this is an ancient bug that was common in the early days but not so much now. It effected every shop and had no clue why either, respawning seemed to fix it despite having relogged twice and it still being an issue before then.

Also the "Ghost Player Horse" glitch is starting again for me. And even effected my own horse twice already so interacting was impossible until I recalled it.

Archangelsky

I have had a few bugs recently that I can not recall having had before, like a wagon of moonshine blowing up when I was doing a delivery, and another bug making it impossible for me to use gunoil to clean my weapons.

The first only happened once so far but the second has happened twize.

Seems that old bugs are coming back in galore! Have R* change that much in the coding that they don´t need Qbeta anymore until it is time for update?

When I played this morning I changed session much more frequently than before. And the lobbies seems bigger too!

I have noticed some of the Gang Hideouts and even Ambushes I've not seen in months are happening semi-often now. Namely the Ireland Gang outside Strawberry, that ambush of angry and unplanned Irish Robbery has happened no less than THREE times this past week, which is way more than it used to be by a factor of....well....three.

There are no new background updates nor changes to tunables. Last time tunables was updated was back on June 7th.

Qabeta has nothing to do with the public-live environment. It's for the developer side.

I think Rockstar's session merging system is just behaving differently due to the lack of players.

There might not be any updates but I don't think player count has fallen that much to affect sessions lol. Still 2.5-3k just for RDO and just on Steam, not counting those who might own the SP+O bundle (probably most), and the ones on the Rockstar Launcher or the Epic Games Store, and there's the console versions too.

Don't think the player count is that low to affect anything like that, just IMO though :p

I thought they could ad new code and test things without updating the Qbeta folder. Their support always say clear cache and testing an update could be hidden in temp files?

Maybe as Tez2 says small lobbies are more common and stuff just pops more often! I get plenty of hidden hideouts and different moonshine events. But no wagons and fame seekers yet. Maybe just fame seeker requires a posse to spawns....?

Roadblocks and "Destory/find the still" work. The "Sabotage the Still" one as has been the case since the moonshiners update, has in my experience a 8 in 10 chance of being completely bugged and unwinnable if you get spotted.

"Kill remaining enemies"

POV of the area:

Yeah R* kinda hard to beat that objective when all the guys are dead and the mandatory 2 to 4 Taxmans you send after me after getting spotted refuse to f*ckin' show up.
