Hope is one thing, but at some point reality has to kick in. Hoping doesn't make things happen, as much as we would like to believe it would.

 

For me, the strongest evidence of R*'s intentions were how they ignored #SaveRDO. I mean, what more proof do you want? That was the perfect opportunity for R* to come out and say they are working on things for the future, not even having to be specific, but no, not a peep.

 

That is true that in the end it is all about money! But the question is; does R* still exist or have T2 goubblet it all up?

They are 6 hours behind and the east coast is about 8 hours behind so.... Lets say that it is R* in Scotland that changes the tunable and they have to wait for people to get to work 6 to 8 hours later that updates SC....

The fact that they include the /r/RedDeadFashion subreddit into their Newswires every month pretty much proves that Rockstar is very much aware of the community and have their ears close to the ground. They know the community is universally upset about the state of the game and its uncertain future. They just don't care.

 

The only reason they include that subreddit into their newswires is because there is 0 dissent and complaints about Rockstar/RDO, whereas /r/RedDeadOnline is full of that sh*t. It shows they can easily make the effort to communicate and talk to us, or show us any kind of roadmap at all about the game, but they won't, because that's how little they think of you as customers or consumers.

A fair amount of graphics tech RDR2 already uses was used on GTAV PS5 & XSX for Ray Tracing. Which makes me wonder it would likely be easier to do the same on RDR2?

I'm sure they already have some groundwork for it especially if (actually, it most likely WILL) it's gonna be used in GTA VI, so... they could probably backport it to a hypothetical RDR2 current-gen version too. An RDR2 current-gen version would be less work than GTA V "E&E" even because RDR2's version of RAGE already has a "prospero" build target.

Wlell, one thing I have to applaud, these actions like dropping updates for safer playing and anti-hack is an awesome thing, a bit late, but at least is something, I’ve been playing the last 2 weeks and have yet to see another sudden cage trap, flying from explosions and any hacking behavior.

 

How is Gtao currently?   I’ve been away longer there than I was on Rdo.

The patch has made the online component a little bit more stable in regards to other players using cheats to grief your session. That's about it. In regards to the KKK thing, players were using the literal "KKK" NPC models from the story mode and using racist/offensive names and killing online players.

I don’t wanna seem like I’m the only person without blinkers, but I can’t be the only one to see this is as a fruitless endeavour. 

 

Ozark gains popularity, gets nuked. South takes its place. Gets (or is about to get*) nuked. Same over the Golden Goose house.

 

How many times do they have to repeatedly take down the same code being used to bypass and abuse their systems? And more importantly, how many gullible folks does it take to think more sustainable action can ever be achieved than pretending to act in the userbases’ best interest? Mods and griefing sell like hot cakes. Not just here but in all open world games. Rockstar count on that arm of social interaction as being reactionary as a gut punch.

 

Wonder what the next menu will provide, and what will its name will be? The cycle woefully continues… Is action better than inaction, even if you end up where you start? What does it say to the efficacy of your brand if you continually fail your customers?
