Wasn’t shameless self promotion.  How was it shameless self promotion?  How was it any different than someone posting videos they made in a car thread like this?  I provided hexes that people requested.  I put time and effort into the video.  After posting my videos I had many conversations with members here about how much they either liked the colors or not, if I could brighten or darken the colors and other requests they had.  You were the only one with the issue.  Wasn’t spam, only posted a video when a new video was made.  
 

also my video was taken down in the showcase thread as well, wonder why?

I took a quick look. Just post a screenshot with the hex. You can post the video as well if you wish, but the basic info needs to be up front for forum members to see, people dont want to have to watch a whole video to get a hex.

 

It does come off as self promotion with the only purpose being to get views for your own gain. Just calling it how I see it.

 

Now that is enough of this. Back on topic. Further discussion about this here will be deleted if it carries on.

The member in question DM'd me about it but I admittedly forgot among some other DM's, so I'll just repeat it publicly - you are using your own channel to show off user-requested hexes, this is self-promotion which is not allowed as per the forum rules. People usually post images of their vehicles using the custom colour and say what the hex is, they don't stick it all in a video you're very likely monetising for your own gain, from other people's requests.

 

You can self-promote and post your videos in the dedicated video topics, but not elsewhere. It doesn't matter you're showing off colour requests, it's still posting and promoting your own video repeatedly, which is why your posts got hidden and you ended up with a reminder about advertising.

 

Tl;dr: what Mach said above, including the part about further discussion being deleted. So yes, can we please go back to discussing and loving the Dominator ASP which is what the topic is about? Thanks!

The problem with your posting is that you don't want to share with people, you just want to force them to watch your videos.

You even post pics of the colors that will feature in a future video but don't share the hex until the video is posted.

 

Literally no one like this, man. It has the opossite effect of the engagement you want.

There's a lot of people who are just happy to help each other here, so why don't you just post your codes and ask for people to watch your videos?   

 

If people wanted regular YouTuber content they wouldn't have come here in first place.

Still playing around with pearls and will probably switch to crew colour for the purple at some point but that one's currently got schafter purple with racing green pearl. Bright green pearl just seemed a bit too intense, at least on my end.

There are some aluminum options for the engine that approaches this, but unfortunately none of the air filter covers looks close to this.

You know you got a fast car when you set a new personal best on the FIRST lap of a race. When your standing start is better than your previous-best hot lap, that’s fast.

 

On the stunt race Duel, my previous best was just a couple weeks ago in a Dominator GTT, which on my first hot lap, I shaved a couple tenths off my then-previous best. But in the ASP, on my first attempt at Duel, I crashed on both laps. I tried again, and again crashed on both laps. It wasn’t until my third attempt that I’d managed to learn enough from the previous crashes to get a sense of how to control this car, and that’s when I set a new personal best, a full second quicker than what I did a couple weeks ago in the GTT. But then I crashed again on the second lap.

 

On my fourth try, on my first lap I shaved a very small sliver off what I did the previous time, and this time I managed to keep it together on the second lap, taking a full three seconds off my best time in the GTT.

 

The GTT was probably the easiest car I’d ever driven on Duel. The Coquette Blackfin and the Blade were also pretty easy. The ASP, though it took a bit of getting used to, was by no means hard. It was definitely easier than the regular Dominator, or the Sabre Turbo Custom, or the Yosemites. It just took a bit more concentration than the GTT, at least in my experience.

Well, it's actually Stone Silver with an Ice White pearl, but it doesn't show very well inside.

Its actually very true it messes with all colours in there…Nardo Grey on my Tailgater S which looks like a slightly lighter version of that resembles something almost purple.

Considering the ASP has a supercharged engine sound, you could go with one of the supercharger options and pretend R* made it a mix of the later S/C cars and the Cobra R. That’s what I’ll do with mine when I get it. Mystichrome paint, Cobra R aero kit and exhaust, supercharged engine model

I know not everyone will dig it but this may very well be one of my favorite crew colors i've ever created. I think it looks damn good on this car.

 

If interested - #ff6347 I am still experimenting with pearls. but right now (in the screen shot) that's a Frost White pearl.

Wish they updated the original dominator with just some livery options atleast
