There is a merge from car to service car in an Auto Shop, meaning one of the customer cars in an Auto Shop you’re supposed to service, repaint, modify, and deliver. You can merge a car to it, then buy the result. However, I have never seen nor heard of a Comet S2 being a service car. That doesn’t mean they can’t be, just that I’ve never been aware of it.

You don't need a car to car merge to flip liveries

what you need is a working GC2F, Magic Slot, a friend or 2 consoles, and a car with the same livery ID

to make it easy move your magic slot to the MOC

receive the Comet S2 on to the magic slot you just stored in the MOC

now receive a car that has the same livery ID on it (you can use the weevil)

YOU NEED TO DISCONNECT THE INTERNET AT THE MOMENT YOU APPEAR IN THE MOC

when you come back from story mode you should have the livery applied to the S2

It's important to know with this partial merge the following will merge on to the new car:

Plates (Yanktons)

Plate text

Window tint

Interior and accent colour

Wheel ID (the category will not change)

All upgrades that has a corresponding ID on target car including the livery

You’re misquoting me. It wasn’t me who said a merge was necessary. I said there’s no merge right now.

What I find strange here is that the person who did mention merges referred to what I said, getting a DMO custom car, as “complicated”. And now another method is being presented as an alternative, despite seeming even more complicated than merges. Honestly, I find what I do to be the simplest way possible to get exactly what I want. I give someone a few bucks, tell them exactly what I want, they do all the complicated stuff, and all I have to do is receive it in a GCTF. It’s pretty simple.

“None” does not count in the sense of livery IDs. In the files, Hot Rod Flames is livery 1, Purple Flames is livery 2, etc.

The equivalent to the "Rock N' Roll Legends" livery on the Comet S2 would be "Trippy Vibes" on the Weevil. So it's the 14th livery or the 15th entry in the livery list when counting None.

Well this is an interesting topic indeed.. what with the castrating of many recent cars, the Comet S2 Coupe, and then this Cabrio comes along and wipes the floor with said castrated Coupe.. so I'm hoping the S2 Coupe along with the Ubermacht Cypher, will be 2 of the 5 of the 10 cars that will be eligible for new performance upgrades come E+E time

2B or not 2B ...

Yeah, I have actually sold 3 of the 5 that I owned, and I was just gonna keep one, but I'll hang on to 2 for now and see what happens.

As for the Cabrio..

I've just got the one of these for now, as I'm not really a convertible kind of guy.

It's lovely having the wild feel that the Coupe originally possessed back again and I have really enjoyed this car despite it being a rag top.

I think I'll be leaving this plate on here aswell as it reminds me of the Queen of Green that is the fabulous Sabine Schmitz who had great history with Porsche.

So I did a little temporary first spec, trialing a colour and having a little time to get used to the car.

I briefly took my S2 Coupe out, and.... NO.

So I didn't bother checking any others I still have from tuners update.

But I'm ~~thinking~~ hoping maybe once Hao'd, they'll get their spirits back...

Is the rock and roll legends a lscm unlockable or something? Because I have it in my livery options unlocked but I never thought of it to be " rare " or " wanted " ??

That's the Cabrio S2. The normal S2 doesn't have it unlocked yet, but people can glitch merge the livery.
