#FF0000 seems to be the right color red. Taken from the red stripe livery for the Shlagen GT

It's even more odd when you realize that the Growler, which shares the same interior, does have a Pfister logo on the steering wheel.

I need help. I like this car too much. I thought the diamond cut sports rims look a lot like the 997 Turbo's standard wheels, so tried to make a build out of it.

My Turbo S build

Usually I'm not a fan of flashy cars, with flashy parts, flashy colors etc. I'm more into a stealthier look, such as dark colors, clean body parts (especially no wings).

It's also the case of 911s, I'm not a big fan of GT2/GT3 RS versions, but I prefer a more "standard" trim such as Carrera S which is perfect to me aesthetically speaking. I'd say also Turbo S is borderline, not too excessive, so yeah I like that too.

 

Anyway, I wanted to make some experiments. I was trying to do some builds and I came up with these two 991 GT3 RS builds with two "flashy" official colors which I must admit, I really like, and they are called "Lava Orange" and "Ultraviolet". I spent some time to get the RGB and HEX values and tried under various light conditions, by looking at the same time at the real picture, trying to get similar light conditions in order to tweak the colors.

I must say they came out pretty good and I will remake them into online where I have another few Comets which I've built (simpler versions, as I mentioned before, Carrera S inspired), which I'll eventually post in here some day.

I'll let the pictures speak.

Who else hasn't gotten the trade price for this car even after hitting rep 45 or higher? I got level 50 and I still haven't gotten the trade price, I know someone said I'm getting them for unreleased cars but it's still pissing me off. Is it a bug or is it really just random what trade prices you get after unlocking the day one cars?

Its completely random. The RNG system doesn't distinguish between day 1 cars and dripfeed cars. You can unlock the TD for a dripfeed car at rep5 and you can unlock the TD for a day 1 car at rep 75, its all just luck really.

I'm level 63 and don't have the trade price either. Like you I got day 1 release cars up until level 40.

So I finally get around to this machine..

.. and manage to get my screenshots released from my playstation..(there's 160+GB of screenshots and clips, and my PS seems to be feeling the strain, I need a clear out) 

 

I read all the talk about this car and when I first drove it I was a little underwhelmed. 

I do think it should be a bit quicker (Accel) and maybe it doesn't stick like a modern Porsche would, but it does have character to drive, and that's good. It's dynamics are kind of along the right lines..  I would like the brakes a little sharper aswell but they're not bad. I didn't go.."WOW" when I first drove it, but it's growing on me hard. I started to rag it around like I do the other Comets and found it more capable.. rotating it myself as to negate understeer. The sound is really good, I don't know if it's been enhanced over previous cars, but it's good, again along the right lines.

Obviously we all know the customisation is pretty damn good, but I have a few issues..

I was gonna do a 997 GT3 RS build, with the livery.. but there's too much I can't take such as the colour around the headlights, there's only one wing available with the end plates coloured and I don't think it's a good choice of wing there are others closer, we can't match the wheel colour to the livery... anyway..

I think we could have had a few more different bumpers and exhausts, I'm not liking most of the wings, obvs no 992 GT3 wing and I don't like the "duck tail" options, they are poor. I would like a nice sport classic style retro 2.7 style.. the ones we have are not even close..  The active aero though..

Even with the things I don't like, I could still do ten builds easy..

It is a very very good model indeed. It is probably way better than we expected at this point until next game/EE.  It is full of nice little touches and details, but I did expect more detail in the lighting (after the SR).

Nice new interior!! Didn't expect that. The clocks aswell.. 

The steering wheel.. I'll get on to that in a minute...

 

So yeah this car is great, the more I drive it the more I justify buying more of them..

Seems that only the initial batch of cars shared the same unlock pool and after rank 40 or 45 or whatever it is all the dripfeed cars share a separate pool, so you might have unlocked the Dominator ASP price while someone else might randomly unlock the Comet S2 price. I myself also didn't unlock the price at my next 5th rank so I just said screw it and paid full price.

 

Weird and confusing way of doing it but that seems to be how it's working atm.

Imo it's more likely it's two separate pools, unless you have or know of someone that didn't get all the initial cars unlocked by rank 45 or whatever?

 

Edit: then again maybe it could be one combined pool that the drip feed cars weren't added to until the day Comet S2 came out, who knows.
