One of the new models set to be added to GTA Online as part of the 2021 tuners update is the Obey Tailgater S.

A model seemingly almost completely based on the 2013 S3 Saloon/ 2015 RS3 Saloon produced by Audi

I hope the bolt-on wheel arches are optional because they certainly don't align with the wheels. Again.

They probably are, that's why the stance is so f*cked.

jesus how do we still not have a track width option or at least automatically alight the wheels with wide fenders. We got camber, why not this? Even VStancer can do track width

my only gripe with this is the model name... wasn't the Tailgater an A6? why is this an A3/S3?

Ah, they'll probably hold that as the proverbial carrot on a stick to get people to buy the "enhanced" version.

This looks so much better than the Drafter which has a very hideous front end look definitely buying this!!!
Hopefully the widebody is optional cause I'm not putting any of the widebodies for any of the new cars until they add spacers or something to the game to let us make the wheels fit in.

the drafter has the nicest rear of any car in the game imo but a hideous front

If not for the gigantic splitter, I’d love it.

Leaves me quite suspicious that we're going to have another Issi Sport situation on our hands in terms of ugly wheel fitment.

Fun Fact; VStancer is approaching its fourth birthday in September... ':/

Well isn't that fkin hilarious....

Why is it so difficult for those involved to get things right.. 🤔

Well mine certainly won't be wearing a body kit. Let's hope the fitment is ok with stock body parts.

In one sense I'm not too bothered as I'm not an Audi guy.. but I don't mind the saloon, it's got a bit more class, unlike the TWATback. (Nearly everyone I see driving an A3/S3/RS3 hatch looks like a chavvy bellend, and a lot of them being RS3 wannabes, 1.4 tsi's or something)

On the other hand.. it's not really acceptable, and I would be livid if I was an Audi man, they have potentially ruined that car and we haven't even had it yet.

We may be able to make a decent road model, but I think the track/race versions are done for now.. unless you can live with the wheels living inboard like an E-type.

Most Audi drivers in general are god awful douchebags, even worse than BMW/Mercedes.

Its nice to see Obey getting some love, however Im worried if the fenders are permanent (probably not lol)

Plus am I the only person that wants R* to add the B7 RS4 in the future?

Wonder if it'll be in Sports or Sedans..?

(inb4 Rockstar decides it's a Coupe)

If I were a betting man, I'd be willing to bet all of my $GME stock that it'll go into sports; for the past few years, everything that isn't a muscle, compact, sports classic, super or off-roader ends up there.

I bet it will AWD like the real life version. I hope the understeer isn't too heavy like the 8f drafter tho.

God that thing understeers like a pig, but at least it goes. I'm hoping this is a lot more nimble.

Anyways, it's about damn time that Rockstar does a proper looking Audi tbh. All of the past ones have been utterly atrocious in one form or another.

- The Tailgater is bulky, frumpy, slow, and dreary sounding with unrealistically thin B-pillars that would've failed a side impact crash test miserably.

- The Drafter looks great from the rear and the side with a front that is about as hideous as a new M4 (but unlike the M4, it also doesn't fit the body of the car whatsoever so it's just plain annoying to drive).

- The 9F has unsightly sticker mesh, laughable normals, mediocre engine sounds and they handle kind of wonky and aren't even AWD.

- The Omnis can't be made to look bone stock.

- The Rocoto is an fn Pfister...

They utterly butchered this brand, maybe not as bad as Dewbauchee but nearly.

So what's the catch here? Because the front looks great, the grille is actually nice, the headlights are from a Q7 and look rather cool, the side looks nice with some minor VW Passat influence (and I looked at some screens, I think the trim around the window can be made chrome or black which would allow me to be able to do an Alu optics or Carbon optics spec especially considering the mirrors can be made to be carbon as well... that's rather nice). The rear also looks good and it looks to be heavily customizable (and judging from the horrible wheel fitment, I doubt the fender flares are standard).

It's looking like a home run. Idrc if the interior is colorable either because not many RS3s have interesting interiors.

9f is actually AWD but the car is super light which makes it very prone to oversteer sadly. Usually AWD cars understeer to some degree but not like FWD cars tho. I'm hoping the new rs3 will be more nimble as well. The 8f can compete with the Old school sports like the massacro, jester, elegy rh8, and feltzer mainly do to the AWD but suffers horribly on the tongva back roads. 9f against the old school sports cars is good in the right hands but takes alot of patience. I feel like you lose time on the track when when turning with the 8f drafter because of the heavy understeer. It's like 3 seconds slower on the testing track I do in the hills but does well on city tracks due to the boosts it gets.

It's a good thing I'm not a betting man, heh ':/

I have just given it a test drive; handling seems alright, engine sounds boring, but the car will almost certainly become OP for its class...

It sounds okay, drives a bit eh. Not awd at least not from what i saw in the handling.meta but it feels right. Highly customizable with a very fitting COLORABLE 9F interior. I love the way it looks, it's so nice.

Apparently, since the Tailgater S uses interior from Rapid GT, the car has an undesirable extras carried on from vanilla cars in form of interior clutter. This particular one of mine has that ugly air freshener in the left vent.

I had to buy 2 more just to get the clean interior version. WTF R*?
