Looks like I picked a good time to come out of retirement from GTA Online. I am looking forward to this Tuners DLC coming out in 5 days.

Pretty sure whatever you did before wouldn't matter. I think you can transfer from any current platform to the new consoles. At least, that's how Character Transfers worked before.

Don't wanna ruin your hope mate but I don't think you can transfer cross platform. Wouldn't make sense with all the hacking community etc.

I don't really agree with you. It's a bit long but I'll explain:

If you are interested in cars, in Europe there are many very powerful AND efficient cars (no offense to the Americans).
I understand the desire to see American cars, I understand that Americans are proud of their muscle cars and their raw power but European cars are infinitely more powerful/comfortable/modified. The Charger Hellcat is popular in the USA but not really exported elsewhere. By the way, Audi is more popular than Dodge in the United States.
Some examples:
-Audi RS3/6/7/4
-BMW M3/M4/M2/M5/1M/140i
-Mercedes A45/C63(s)/CLS
-Volkswagen Golf R/GTi

They are "affordable" for what they offer and therefore widespread.
I see at least one of these cars EVERY day. Often modified, rims, bodykit, covering, spoilers... Some of these cars are able to take incredible speed (RS6/7, C63, CLS, M5, M3, M4 are able to reach 300+ km/h). It's very common to modify these cars here, reprogramming the computers, changing the turbos...I've had the opportunity to get up close and personal with dozens of these cars, some approaching 1000HP, the range goes from 300HP to 800HP more commonly. I am aware that American cars can have similar power, but on a track, American cars are far behind. (Corvettes can maybe compete).

In the end it's not a matter of numbers, but of popularity, in terms of cars, Audi is more popular.
For me if the Tailgater S is performing well, it makes sense. They are popular here and deserve a place in a car oriented DLC, I hope that justifies why an Audi can be more popular than a Dodge.

So what if we can tune those bikes? Imagine tuning those puppies to the Max along with those JDMs. I think they are featured in this DLC for a reason.

Oh, nice - I've got maybe 4 garage spaces left per character, and don't really want any more apartments, so that's good news. That, and storing customs in some cushy luxury garage always looks off to me - it'd be cool if it's basically a place to stash stuff after a race, like this (skip to 0:57 if the timestamp doesn't work):

 

 

 

 

Another observation: I get the impression that some of the cars/attendees at the meets shown in the pics/trailer are NPCs - I guess that if you host a private takeover, you can just have it free for yourself and other players, whereas the normal state includes NPCs and job contacts as well.

Honestly I'm done with companies trying to re-sell the same game with nothing but a few little bonuses.

The PS5 XboxX GTA 5 isn't even a remaster or something, it's just the same game ported to a new platform as far as I know.

And I never even owned any console in the first place, and I don't plan to buy one just because there you can have a few more "performance upgrades".

I really hope this doesn't mean that they finally add nitrous to regular cars but make it only available for new gen console players.

It's not about the size per say but that instead of 31MB png you can make it a 800kb jpg with hardly any noticeable loss in quality on photo-like images. If you have a graphic that's mostly lines and one-color areas and text, it's better to use the lossless png.

 

With all the kids making memes they should teach the difference between png and jpg in school IMO.

This DLC may be a gift from god based on the cars alone, and the races and features sound awesome. A lot of this stuff is easily what I've dreamed about for a long time.

Serious answer: maybe in December. No joke - I reckon it'd be cool if R* actually topped up these cars with the next update, too, rather than just saying "job done!", and going on to Gunrunning version Umpteen, or the next military-grade property.

Makes me wonder if they'll be the crowd to wow with our rides. A little bit like the sex appeal part of cars in San Andreas and cars have a default value based on the upgrades we've added, with more rep for flamboyance or something.

 

And maybe players that join can add to that with voting etc too.

Now THIS is what I call a proper DLC.

Been waiting for this for too long. Seems good. Hope they didn't oversell it like they usually do.. inb4 drift is "dRiFt" and only in special missions, cars riddles with flags etc'.. I full on expect at least half of these cars to be able to double clutch that's how high my expectations are. Please let it be good

Probably when E&E arrives, plenty of room to introduce a Porsche 964Turbo, BMW e92 M3, Audi RS6, etc.

But seeing a lot of stuff tied to rep killed a lot of hype for me about this update. I hated the rep progression system in Arena Wars and definitely don't want it to be see repeated here. If it does, it's probably going to turn me off.
