Capitale Looting

Don't know what thread to put this in since we don't have a general discussion topic anymore.  I haven't downloaded or played the update yet.  But reading it sounds like the capitale is being dropped similar to treasure maps?  I'm wondering if this is now going to effect the drop rate of treasure maps?  Anyone notice?

My experience thus far.

Since the udpate, I have found 4 treasure maps.

3 looting stranger missions

1 tree map

And I have  looted 6 Capitale total. Playing freeroam missions and blood money missions. I have NOT looted any treasue maps, from the blood money missions.

I have also looted some saddlebags, collectibles have been found, but no Capitale.

Sidenote: something about the word Capitale- makes me real "stabby".

I've been finding scrip at a rate of about 1 per mission on average: some you get nothing, and some you can get 2-5 if you're lucky.

And I've been seeing the same amount of maps looted, on trees, and from treasure hunters.

Just make sure to loot every body and look for lock boxes.

It takes a couple of minutes if the targets are in a house, gotta search drawers, cupboards, etc. but that brings more of the outlaw feel in my opinion rather that just taking the bag and running.

I'm trying to look at the good side of the missions, the payouts aren't any better than bounties or stranger missions, but I don't need the money or even gold.

It would be better if we had an alternative use for cap. (not gonna spell it out, the word's become pretty annoying 😁)

===========================================================================

A general thought, not aimed at anyone particular:

As far as new players using this as a farming/grinding method...it sucks, but then what's the hurry really?

There's still nothing significant to buy after acquiring one's basic equipment/weapons except cosmetics.

Rushing to the end of any new content...well, there's no prize waiting, and if someone doesn't really enjoy the basic game as it is I don't get the concern to amass a fortune quickly since there's nothing to do with it with regards to the PvE game.

I still essentially enjoy the game environment and some activities, there's a fair variety so that I can usually pick something I haven't done for a while, and if I don't feel it I just do a few quick dailies and log off.

Played the update for the first time yesterday.  Did 3 Blood Money missions.  The first one was a stage coach robbery in Big Valley I looted a treasure map and 1 capitale.  The second mission was the Jeb Phelps part 1 and I got nothing out of that one.  The third was a homestead robbery just south of Van Horn.  I looted 2 capitale off of bodies, and two in lockboxes.

I played 2 entry missions but no capitalieyiouy. I guess I'll have to get rid of some treasure maps I hoarded to make room for possible new ones after reading some comments 😜

In today's adventures I spawned in at camp in Big Valley, had the near by camp defend and looted one capitale off of one body.  As soon as I did all of the other bodies disappeared.  Did a homestead robbery near heartland oilfields and Emerald ranch and looted one from a lockbox.  I did Jeb Phelps part 2.  Glad I went into eagle eye noticed the lock box glowing on the roof because that gave me 3.  I failed the mission by accidentally killing the guy.  Second attempt I got 4 from that same lockbox on the roof and completed the mission.

If you ever find a Blood Money camp in free roam, don’t expect the bodies you loot to hold any c-word. You must search the outer vicinity of the camp for a very small ammo box all by its lonesome, containing at least one c-word, maybe two of you’re lucky.

Once I realized I was at the cap of 50, from buying it at the fence right away, I did a couple of the opportunities at 15 a pop so I had less on me.

Now I've looted the 3 from the head guy in Railroad mission 3 (love that one, you even get 3 off him if you kill him and fail it), as well as about 4 or so from bodies; I've yet to find a chest with any in it, looking around

with eagle eye in all the areas I'm in (even going behind sheds/trees and stuff.)

I've also found 1 Capitale on a body I just looted out in the open, from a resupply mission where Cripps had this great idea "protection!" It

was the usual one where I go save a guy and he gives me the wagon for resupply. So make sure you loot all those bodies that are not even in Blood Money!

Yeah, I've been trying that and no luck so far =/ I messed up because if I recall the first homesteader thing I did there were a couple boxes, which I thought were

dumb because they were "empty" but I had 50 capitale on me at that time from the fence!

Worst part is I have to page through my camp box to get more ammo and supplies, because I have 45 Capitale in it (from the coupons in quickdraw pass) and 32 or so on me; so I don't

want to max the Capitale on me or I won't see it in the missions again! So that is kind of a drag. Guess I need to bang out the Ruthless ones at 25, but I'm horrible at free aim (or guess I

could do the next level at 20 and see how that goes.)

Not a good day yesterday.   Friend joined, we did the emerald mission and we weren't getting anything from looting bodies, no change ammo ect.  Then we did a the Blue Water missions and same thing, no loot on any of the bodies except 1 single capitale in the second mission.  I restarted my console and started another.  This time the bodies had loot, but no capitale.

You only seem to get 1 Capitale per Blood Money mission either inside a lockbox or one of the NPCs you can loot that has Capitale but it’s mainly the NPCs you interact with, such as the guy with the bag in the Cart tracking down missions (I forget the name off the top of my head right now), some Clearing House and Dirty Money missions have two lock boxes though but not all of them.

I have not found any Capitale on the Emerald mission and have done it on all 3 difficulties. I have a feeling you don’t get any from these missions since you have use Capitale to play them.

I know most of the locations of the lockboxes in the Blood Money missions, they are all in the same place every time as is typical of Rockstar.

And that sums it up pretty well.

A little variety programmed in (to all missions) would go a long way to filling out any added content.

I've still only done 3 new missions, finished the pass Monday without trying, basically by picking up a few collectibles for easy dailies over the course of the week.

I'm just going to plug along when I feel the urge, all leisurely - like.

There's still nothing to get to at the end...  😑

Yeah, I'm back to playing for 10 minutes daily, usually for a Daily Challenge once I've made sure my sites are up to date and that's about it, some days I may spend an hour doing Daily Challenges if I have time to waste otherwise there isn't anything much more to do as the update is basically Free Roam missions with capitale lockboxes so to speak, which we just spend on a longer mission with no benefits to acquire, they could have given some sort of exclusive items once completed. I just don't see the point of doing Blood Money missions to find capitale just to spend it another mission with no extra incentives to actually complete.

And back to the point of a little variety in the missions, yes the lockboxes could be place in different areas so that it's an actual effort to find them each time, even if they only had 10 locations maximum for each mission at least you'd spend some time trying to find them at least, not just going to the same spot each time you play and there they are!

I just did a camp defend and looted one piece of capitalaylay.

Most of the bodies disappeared after the mission finished, just 5 were left.

Did one in Big Valley the other day.  1st or second body I looted had one capitale.  As soon as I looted it, all of the other bodies disappeared.

That's good to know, I am assuming since Camp Defends are 'Gun For Hire' missions which is what the Blood Money and Stranger missions are named as well which is why Capitale was able to be looted from, so I will assume that any Free Roam random encounter missions that pop up as a 'Gun For Hire' mission is a possible capitale loot opportunity.

CRAPITALE

I seem to have accrued a maximum 50 crapitales at this point. I don't even know what to do with them. I think some came with the Quick Draw pass or perhaps some other benefit like Amazon. But, never having gone on any blood money missions, I also found some perhaps a dozen here and there looting.

Well, with insights like this it's no wonder I don't go on blood money missions. I'm more of a consigliere type, like Tom Hagen, gotta protect the melon. My official title Don Martinelli knows me as a consigliera poco seria.

I have to agree.   While I enjoyed some of the capitale missions, the lack of enough opportunities to use it combined with the 50 cap made your spelling very appropriate.

Also the disjointed implementation of the maffia mindset feels very phony.   Makes me want to ask "Ma che cosa stavano pensando?   Mascalzoni!!!"  "E me ne vo a magna' un etto de grana col vin." (yes, yes, I know that's northern accent, not sicilian, but I don't claim to be Signor Martelli)

I haven't noticed any effect on the drop rate for treasure maps since the Blood Money content came out.  I think I've looted 2-3 treasure maps in the past few days from NPC's.  I'll also add in that I've looted Capitale from an NPC in Free Roam.  One of my posse mates said he looted it from a Revenue agent roadblock so I have once again started looting the NPC's.  I can confirm that you can loot Capitale from Free Roam NPC's.  It seems like it is somewhat rare to loot...kinda like the chance of looting a treasure map from my experience thus far.

I find myself wasting Cap when I get 50 in my satchel.  I'll fire up the Ruthless mission and immediately let them kill me.  Interestingly, you can walk all around St. Denis holding a stick of dynamite in your hand and the cops don't think anything of it.  Crash your horse over some random item near the train however and they immediately go ham on you.

I'm not sure if anyone have discovered any similar methods, but this is how I do it.

- Finish the first two chapters of the railroad contract

- Start the third one, when you captured the target, loot him

   - Most of the times you will get 4 capitale, which is quite a lot, sometimes its valuables or 2 capitale

- Instead of finishing the mission by delivering the target alive, restart it

   - You can kill him, which would fail the mission and turn your lobby into a public lobby

   - You can loot the train, there's two moonshines, two opened health potion

- To quick restart, pause the game, Online - Crime, then you should be spawned near a blood money opportunity

- Go to the blood money op, start Railroad contract 3 of 3 again, repeat

   - There should be no cooldown since you changed session.
