Although I am just as happy doing missions as I am riding across the country and taking in the sights. 

It's the leisurly rides that I do the most, and that can be hard to do when other players come charging in for a fight. The only reason I want more updates is because they are forcing us to play with random players, if they aren't going to do that then why keep the servers as public only, right? I've given up on everything else when it comes to this game, but I still have some hope for solo servers.

I still kind of think it would be neat if the very last real mission we had was in Blackwater, where we get mixed up with a robbery gone wrong with certain members of a particular gang and from there SP begins. I mean we aren't going to progress due to no more substantial updates, so let our characters go out with a bang.. Literally.

If you have not played the single player campaign to 100%x completion maybe that is something to do. I have no idea how many % i completed in my first and as of now only time playing the sp-campaign. However this week I started on my second sp-run and now I will go for 100% all gold on all missions etc, total completion.

I have moved on to  chapter 2, but I will stay there quite some time. I love this game and the dynamoc in sp is so different then online. It is peaceful and quiet, I am enjoying it more. Though of course I hope for more RDO news.

I've gone hunting for all the easter eggs and cool sites, but cannot for the life of me finish that game ever again. I have a few saves that I play, ones that are at specific points in the game, where I just take Arthur or John and ride around doing basically nothing. Playing the map without having to keep a constant eye for random player dots is so soothing I'll be honest.

Unfortunately I would love to be able to play all three of my gunslingers in that way, not just Arthur and John.

So, now I can't do trader resupply missions, because every time I complete the mission, it fades briefly to black and puts me at the center of camp by the campfire... which it then makes me walk forward into, catching me on fire so I burn to death.

 

Every time.

 

It's been doing the few unnecessary steps thing for ages.  It's been really annoying (much like it forcing me to mount my horse after delivering bounties), but not lethal, until now.

I couldn't use the wash barrel at camp for the longest time.

After pressing 'E' to use it my character would start walking toward the tent and turn back until facing the lockbox, but they fixed it somehow last week.

I did a couple of resupplies last week for a daily with no issues, however.

I did start to get the spinning around dealie after dismounting my horse during an ambush and later a bounty gunfight. You do 4 or 5 circles while frantically mashing keys to try and regain control.

 

Also quite often the first map opened for 'use 3 collector maps' doesn't count for the daily.

That's been going on for a very long time.

I guess that it's the 'titan glitch' of RDO.

 

There's always something messed up. Great fun.

Also starting to see "abandoned/broken" bounty wagons and hunting wagons at the side of roads and paths (had a bounty wagon with no horses blocking the central south road leading down towards Stillwater Creek area) as well as the idle player horses. Also had to restart the game twice tonight because when I went in to both the Valentine stables and the stables south of Emerald Ranch, my character was walking into her horse and unable to move out of the area and couldn't get the Player List or main map options to show up. Hope that this is now not going to be yet another ongoing issue...

Well, well. So me being me and not tired despite a friend who recently got the game logging off around like maybe near 1am EST, Here I am still up. So decided to do my typical late night boredom thing of prowling about Valentine and seeing what other players get up to from the safety of Defensive mode.

PVT Nogs (if you read this hi, congrats bud on being very dumb, so dumb I felt the need to outright name you) and his friend are having a bit of a shooty shoot sess out by the train station. Fair enough, their in a posse, they sound like their having a decent enough time in voice chat, their low levels, like sub level 20 if I recall. Figured "Hm, ah what the hell. Might as well watch" and thus lit a smoke and was walking along to watch the show, his friend bafflingly claims "That one shot me". Funny I'd yet to take the cold blued steel beauties out their leather but alright, no biggie, Defensive mode.......Pvt Nogs then shot me. Well, well, now those same blued steel Colt 1873s shall now clear leather, both of them, one with my Boom-boom 'F*ck off" rounds just for cases like this. By the time all was said and done it was at least 4 or 5 on both and 0 on me.

This wouldn't even be worth posting about if not for three things.

1. I got accused of god mode and thus "RePoRtEd". Despite the fact Defensive No Sells your Deadeye if you shoot first and seems to make the player in Defensive just slightly more tanky
2. They struggled to even get my name right to report......first off Razgriz.....*sigh* oh boy this again where no one can even speak my name so lovely, minor annoyance but if your going to get mad and "RePoRt" me at least get the name right

As for the third thing. Timing. It was as if the Universe had called upon me to deal out Justice for some unspoken crime as the shot that started this was right as a certain OST started playing on my playlist:

Again almost felt like the Universe itself looked down and went "Hm, Yes this one. Make this one have conflict with these ones now"

I can't even get in RDO right now, I keep getting errors. I tried everything, rebooted game, rebooted PS5, changed MTU back to normal, nothing works, just errors everytime.

Apparently there's maintenance later today but not right now, so not sure what's happening.

I do like how when I stay in a lobby for over 3 hours I sometimes, maybe get a good 20-30 minutes worth of the glory days. All the Gang Ambushes, Random Events, Gang Hideouts, Being the Terror of the Lemoyne Raiders again! All because there was only 5 other people at most, for only 20 to 30 minutes before back to a full lobby of nothing. I wish they'd fix it or give us invite onlys but alas I doubt it.

I haven't seen an ambush, hideout or any other event like that for more than 2 years (or it sure seems that way).  Just never happen anymore.

Something to do with high population lobbies. I know that oddly GTAO had this odd sort of period of Business Battles failing to spawn at all, more than once in big public lobbies, however that was tied to the Irish Police Van that they totally fixed (they didn't, still causes at the very least some yellow coronas to break when destroyed)

It's entirely tied to lobby population in RDO.

Solo lobbies =  no problem, ride around the Flatneck side of Bard's Crossing bridge and you get an ambush after 10-15 minutes at most.

Hideouts, though, sometimes take a long time to catch, especially when you're looking for one with a Maxim available to use.

Which is stupid because I remember one of the early Pre-Moonshiner updates was so bad that literally not even animals were spawning at times in even lobbies of only about 10 or so people. You'd think they'd fix it, even more so now given the recent boom in player counts of late.

As I see it they want a lot of people playing (but don't care who it is, it's solely for the numbers) and they want them frustrated so they shoot at the first thing they see.

Fixing glitches only becomes a priority when their income is involved. Otherwise the players can go f*ck themselves as far as greedstar is concerned.

GTA is the same, they don't care if things work as long as their potential income isn't threatened...the Titan glitch is how many years old now?

At least the option of hunting wagon prints could come, it has been in the game for 2 years and nothing has been enabled for the players.

Those are the monthly security changes where Rockstar change the encryption keys or something like that because of the GTA6 leak in September. It's reflected in all games and not just Red Dead Online.

 

It doesn't really mean Rockstar is working on a new title update for Red Dead Online. So far, there's no progress and as Rockstar said, RDO won't receive anymore title updates.

This is the same company that "solved" the jet griefer problem by rendering Helicopters complete death traps for many a year via the "Homing Launcher" I don't know if many recall that newswire but they all but outright hyped it as the solution/counter to Jets, then we got Explosive Sniper which at the end of the day was only slightly effective against jets, and made Helis even more of a death trap for some time. Instead of just acknowledging that not only are the Meme Cannons the issue, Both are NATO aircraft that would not run HE rounds, the Hydra might given gun placement is of the 30mm ADENs but even then 30mm HE is not that massive of a boom radius and the rate of fire is far to high to start with anyways.

Was just doing the '6 large carcasses' & '6 perfect carcasses' for the trader dailies, shot a 3* pronghorn, picked it up and a raccoon ran over and bit me while picking up the deer.

Somehow this turned it into a 1* carcass. 

So I shot the raccoon and burned both carcasses with fire bottles, thus burning in effegy the POS at greedstar who thinks this is good game design.

Yep!

Believe it or not I'm rather shy when it comes to meeting players in an online setting, and not being able to trust the intentions of another player doesn't make interactions easy.

If I didn't have to worry about them shooting me for trying to be friendly it would make things a little easier to weather.
