I always hated ability cards and dead eye in this game, it made me not really care about pvp. At least because I could not really know if I get shot by someone using it or if they used free aim. I always free aim so I am not going to waste time going into pvp with someone using PIB and dead eye.

Ha, I have for some reason started to get the "fffff" error again. It is a long time since I had that one. Usually I get stuck in the loading screen and can not even get into the game, twize it has loaded but crashed within 20 seconds. Single-player works fine though.

Good thing I am winding down my RDO playtime anyway, so I am not as bothered by it as I would have been 6 months ago. I have other games waiting. I would still like to get to 3K gold though before I depart from playing it on a more or less daily basis so bad for my streak if I can not get into it later tonight.

I just don't get it, why is it so appealing to shoot everyone on sight or to mod in such an easy game? Things take time, that's it, it's not that hard to get you far in this game. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't shoot unless I'm getting shot at. It's such an easy principle that everyone would seriously benefit from...

Sounds boring though.

There are in-game reasons why I should kill you on sight every time. These reasons make very little sense but when you die you don't lose anything but time anyway, so why not?

I can't believe I have to type this;  You don't go around killing people because you're bored! That's some psycho sh*t! If you think killing people for no good reason is fun, go back to Call of Duty. I have people bothering me while I'm freeroaming, collecting, bounty hunting etc, and it is so unnecessary every single time when I have not done anything towards them to begin with.

We're on PSN and we definitely don't play as often as we used to, but four or five of us make a solo lobby and play by ourselves once, maybe twice, a week. When I get the urge to play and none of my friends are available, I just use the mtu method to play alone.

 

Human nature will usually get you harassed by someone eventually in this game.

It is not fun to get bullied, antagonized, killed repeatedly, harassed, or having to switch sessions every 10 minutes because of some idiot who thinks he or she is a hotshot and has nothing better to do than bothering other people.

It's nice that you get to enjoy a peaceful session with your friends. However, everyone is in control of their own actions in this game, you and I can choose to not shoot a stranger on sight just for the sakes or shooting someone. Do a job, play with friends, collect, there is no need to go out of your way to bother people who have done you nothing wrong to begin with. For the record, I don't mean you, but people in general.

Parley and move on.

The worst thing to do is staying in defensive mode.

Stay in offensive mode and just avoid others... its really simple.

I already stated there are plenty of in-game reasons to kill you on sight.

In story-mode did you kill the O'Driscol's on sight? I sure did...

Sure thing, at least I enjoy the game. and BTW I rarely attack anyone - it's a waste of bullets. However, if I choose to - I just don't see any issue with it.

I tried RDR2 on PC and decided to give RDO a go there for a laugh.

 

The very first player I've encountered, some level 600 whatever, shot at me and killed me, which is really weird because The Internets™ assured me that the RDO community is more mature and different than the GTA one, meaning mindless killing won't be a thing, adding to that, I was also told high level players, like the punk in question here, are way better players (meaning that they behave decently).

 

Surely there must be some mistake, as there is absolutely no way The Internets™ would lie to me, there's just no chance.

 

 

Serves me best though for giving it a try.

I've been playing this game since release...and, yeah, they lied to you big time judging by my experience with this game.

I apologize on the behalf of us high level players who look at lower level players as someone to help not someone to use for target practice.

Most low levels that I come across I let be, some I even send an invite to my posse so that they can play some of the roles with me. And the ones who try to play big shot, I hog tie them up and leave them. It's no use killing a player who doesn't have the resources that I have at my disposal, to me that's not fair and I try to be fair.

That said PC RDO is littered with a pretty rough crowd, so I've heard, I've been playing this game since day 2 on Xbox and the servers are much milder in comparison. Of course every once in a while you get your bored player who just wants to puff their chest and boast just how good (or not) they are at pushing buttons on a controller, but I can actually count on my hands how many times I've had to deal with an honest griefer.

Now, mind you, this is my personal experience and I do not claim to speak for everyone and their experiences. Just sayin'.

And I will not vouch for the virtues of the internet in general, cause I don't believe much of what I hear online anymore, but we (RDO players) aren't all that bad.

I can assure you that if you and me happened to cross paths I would send a cordial tip of the hat and ride on by.

Can’t enter any stables with me horse after the latest patch. Doing so results in my character getting stuck walking into my horse inside the stables.  No control inputs work.  Have to enter on foot for it to work.    
 

Is this an old bug?   First time in almost 4 years that I’ve experienced it.

There seems to  be a problem with the Naturalist role for me in the sense that sometimes when I take samples it does not register. I have never had this before.

Playing the new telegram missions keeps forcing me into full auto-aim. I suck at this game without assisted aim, mostly due to the horribly clunky movement and controls. Guess I won’t be playing these, or the game at all..

Are you on console, I find the aiming to be smooth on PC.

 

Just keep at it, playing without assisted aim will improve your free aim.

I have been playing computer games for over 30 years and while I am not as fast and do not have the aim I had 20 years ago I always do free aim in all games I play in order to maintain it as long as possible.

Happened to me last night. Rode in on my horse and I had to exit to dash. Never seen it before.

On one hand i appreciate the game adding a level of difficulty not normally attributed to something so simple as PvE. On the other, it artificially handicaps those of poor dexterity or attention in being able to complete the new content, then stifling them out of a reward if they die / fail mid-way through, due to the way the reward system is setup.

 

Not sure if these same rules apply to the perma-increasing difficulty once completed like the other telegram missions, but this in itself puts me off replaying said content. Options, people! Jeez... what happened to user preference?

I don't get how people need to mod in a cowboy game, seriously, what the hell. You'd have to be a really bad and lazy person to do that sh*t. Online is really becoming GTA Online with all of these toxic idiots joining a relatively calm game and ruining it with their bullsh*t.
