Maybe. At this point it almost seems like they have different teams for different updates. Naturalist update was an interns idea 😆

Lol ya. Was all recycled animations just reversed injured animal animations with animal revive, the ammo they just changed it slightly, all the money went to voice actors and marketing. I wonder if we're going to have new content or we're going to be earning recycled single player content in online again, oh the anticipation. Gotta say it's kinda clever what they've come up with to limit the amount of work to put into something new, they sit at a table and think of what the game already has and then work around it, not what they could actually add lol.

I hate feeling powerless against people that play this way. It’s like being brought into a war room as a pacifist, i don’t belong there because it’s not who i am as a player. I’m then forced to make an executive decision and either, a: leave and lose all my pelts and carcass or b: fight pathetically and feed their ego, + lose all my pelts and carcass. There’s no inbetween for me. Some might say go afk and let them get their rocks off but again, at whose expense? I didn’t load this game to go afk and let DishonorCowpoke420 get his kicks. Come back and maybe sell my hunting meat for half the cost.

I just wanna make some progression with likeminded players without fear of being trolled. Rn I am literally waiting for my friend to get back from his holiday so we can hit up the story missions because the trouble I’ve had trying to play legit is excruciating. Makes me wish ever so slightly I still had my xbox.

I am so happy that I play on the Xbox, our console isn't immune to the ruffians but at least the majority of RDO players I have had the pleasure to meet or pass by in game have always been a polite sort. As I haven't owned a playstation since PS2 I am not aware of the community but there seems to be a drastic difference between the types of players who play on each console and on the PC. Strange thing that is?

When did I imply that?

I apologize as my questions sounded kind of confrontational, but it is not what I meant.

If you mean when I said by types of players I did not mean the player base as a whole.

There are different types of players for each game, on each system, and from what I have seen it seems that the players on playstation tend to be more confrontational when they pvp. I've been playing RDO since day 2 on the X Box and will stand by when I say that most players leave one another alone, I rarely got attacked and can actually count on one hand the amount of times that another player messed with me in any given month. That, mind you, was when I was playing daily for a few hours at a time.

It seems like players on the playstation and the PC tended to have more complaints about other players than most of the Xbox players I have seen comment. PC players were mostly complaining about hackers, though.

So no, I was not labeling any player base as a whole. Just mentioning that players on all systems seemed to have different experiences when it came to the frequency and type of griefer they would come across.

Sorry to seem rude, I sometimes come off that way when I type. I don't mean to be that way and again I apologize @SadieAdler 😊

That's an add response. I know full well what you were talking about. I was just mentioning that player bounties are also broken. Next time you post maybe you can give a list of acceptable responses so we know what is and is not permitted. You're actually lucky you got a reply to what what was essentially a B&M. In future I won't bother replying to you and you can just watch the tumbleweed drift by.

Logged on today to find the majority of my outfits have been deleted. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Rev. Gnash

That bug has been floating around, for the last year or so. Got hit twice myself.

The workaround:

1. Remake outfits

2. Keep only five outfits saved to horse, regardless of saddle capacity.

This worked for me. I have wide selection of saddle bags and a stable of ten horses, that I rotate. So the slots for outfits, change from 5 to 7.

IMO - the bug is connected to the saddles outfit capacity.

I just think it's only natural and a fair comment to be honest. The bigger the pool of players, the more chance of bumping into unsavoury folk. PlayStation being so popular (it seems) can only see more of every type of player and it only takes one tit to make a good session go south.

Pot luck comes into it too of course, and player tollerances/understanding of what they define as nonsense/griefing etc. :)

Alright, cheers for the input! I don't really play the game as much now, pop in now and again. Guess the bad luck finally hit me.

I have it happen every other day since it started, dunno why. Tried putting only 3 outfits so the Custom outfit slot would be there and extra space like Rev. Gnash says, it still happens. Tried only 3 hats, switched horses and saddles, bags, Tried wearing clothing that wasn't from battle passes, doesn't seem to be that. Even with all different saddle bag sizes seems to do it for me. I'm out of all ideas. I deal with it too just remaking them every day almost but it takes a long time to remake them all so I make now one Winter, one mid temperature, one desert outfit because they all get deleted.

If it was only from the horses that'd be good but it removes them entirely from every list. Sometimes I don't make any outfits just leave 2 or one in the list, then eventually each day it eats away a saved outfit until I have just Custom outfit and no hats lol I can't make this up I have a never ending war with it myself. Hoping it will be resolved with this "DLC" but it's probably not a priority for them. Could be attached to my character being "Unamed_Player" it's been unamed since I first played Online never figured that out, not gonna delete my character and I don't think appearance change would fix that.

Dont put any outfit in the saddles. Just stay with the active one. Tedious but it prevents the issue.

I never have a problem with 7 outfits on horse.

I'm only use nagadouche saddles, with collector's saddlebags.

None of the outfits have bandanas, mask or ponchos, they are always there fine (regular Xbox One.)

First time its ever happened to me so I thought it was a bit weird and something more recent, I've never had an issue with seven outfits on the horse either. But, ah well. No great deal to fuss over it seems!

So use only one at a time using wardrobe only you mean, never storing on horse? Ya can be tedious solutions but less time to make them every time again in the long run. You made me think, I can remove them before I log off to story. I can head to my camp or wardrobe take them off the horse then it won't clear them if it involves the horse at all then, aightthanks.

(Django) Django, have you always been alone?
(Django) Django, have you never loved again?
Love will live on, oh, oh
Life must go on, oh, oh
For you cannot spend your life regretting

[Verse]
(Django) Django, you must face another day
(Django) Django, now your love has gone away
Once you loved her, whoa, oh
Now you've lost her, whoa, oh
But you've lost her forever, Django

[Chorus]
When there are clouds in the skies and they are grey
You may be sad, but remember they’ll all soon pass away
Oh, Django, after the showers
The sun will be shining

[Bridge]
Once you loved her, whoa, oh
Now you've lost her, whoa, oh
But you've lost her forever, Django

[Chorus]
When there are clouds in the skies and they are grey
You may be sad, but remember they'll all soon pass away
Oh, Django, after the showers
The sun will be shining

Oh, oh, oh, Django
You must go on
Oh, oh, oh, Django

Yeah, basically just stay with the one active and whenever you want to wear another change it at the wardrobe, then take off the saddle the one you were using prior. Its tedious but it prevents the bug alltogether, as it really seems related to the saddles.

Look past the razzle-dazzle and you will see; reused Strangers, another premium currency, grindy busy work collecting "Capitale", one Heist after all that and even more dripfeed.

Well, that will keep them busy and interested for the next 7 months, won't it? Then they will release more reused stranger missions. That's all they know how to do so to expect anything to change with the current people working on the game is insanity defined.

There is no originality in this bunch.

They didn't hit it out of the park. They swung and missed IMO. Literally, there is nothing new for long time players, at least not for my character.

But if you feel underwhelmed, so be it. But as my post says, I don't care if you are "done" and are "leaving RDO forever" (even though we all know better). Nobody cares if (insert poster name here) is not playing the game anymore. Fine, go live your life. Don't bother posting about it though, because nobody cares that you aren't playing anymore.

Why do you feel the need to tell others what they should do? You're not in a position to do so. Some of us don't care that you don't care so by your logic you shouldn't be posting about not caring, right?

I find it funny how you say "nobody cares" or "we all know better" or "I think I speak for everyone" because it shows the delusion you're living under. Those comments are not true but you go on believing you speak for everyone. Obviously you don't speak for everyone because the people you are targeting with your comments are part of the "everyone" and "all" you claim to speak for.

Some of us actually don't play anymore until something comes along that will interest us, though you seem to know what we do or don't do better than we do. We want to play but there is no reason to right now. But we enjoy some of the people in these forums so we come back to see what they have to say and we will comment on those remarks. Some of us have played so long that we can see what R* is doing, or not doing, so we comment on that too.

We don't have to still play the game to take part in a forum unless you've created that rule and are just now letting us know.

I don't know, maybe you don't know the purpose of forums.

I'm one of those. I have $421,000. Why on Earth do I want to go run missions for $20, especially considering I've run missions ad nauseum since release. Even if the BIG mission is $1,000 (which it won't be) so what.

If they'd give us some activity that is original, fun, and can last more than a week or two I might go for that. But not more of the same. I'd like to see us be able to go around robbing anything and everything on our own without running to someone to get an assignment. I like the random bounties you find in your travels, for example. Stuff like that is cool. It would be cool to walk into a bank and rob it on our own initiative. That would be cool. We're working for ourself, not someone else.

Let us form our own crime syndicate if we want. If we choose a life of crime let us have to worry about staying ahead of the Pinkertons, or a similar law enforcement group, like Dutch's group had to do. Make the law a lot tougher.

Let us open a legit business like a saloon or goods store. Geez, once you get your money up to a point where your character is the richest person in the world, working for someone else makes no sense.

This stuff is fine for newer players who need money but R* only focuses on the newer players and doesn't care about the long time players at all. If they did they'd allow our characters to progress but here we are, still stuck in camp running missions. This update convinces me once and for all that's all the future of the game holds. So much for "potential".

This update was an opportunity for R* to show long time players that they matter but, to me, they did the opposite.

Yeah. That would have been a real good idea. Better for them if they made it a gold economy for revenue sake.

I looked up my stats one day and saw that I had earned almost $600,000 since PC release, spent $180,000. It's not like I've never spent any money.

What happens to me is that when I quit the game using a outfit without a bandana, all my outfits with bandanas get deleted. So I just make sure to quit the game using a outfit with a bandana (it doesn't need to be equiped) so nothing is deleted

Yeah. Fun is what I want. Many people have fun with missions and that's good. I did for a long time too. But R* needs to put out other stuff for those who prefer other things. At this point though I dont think they know how to do anything but missions and after 2+ years it doesn't look like any of the character progression they talked about early on will be happening.
