what does it look like?
PC of course. Modder/hacks smelling all the way...

Im on PS4!!! thats whats so effing weird about all this...🤔

here's a clip of it happening:

I would show this to Rockstar but I know they wouldnt look at it.

Its literally as if the bounty I delivered just paid off the Valentine sheriff to put price on my head 😆

.....which now that I think of it would be a pretty interesting game mechanic if NPC bounty targets could actually do this🤔

That has happend to me too on ps4 but never been kicked from defensive! Half a week ago or so when fishing for daily a player ride past me with the law in tow and they stopped just to start shooting me! 😡

It happened to me again today actually, but this time I didnt get kicked from defensive.

Buyer rescue: you have to ride for ages, rescue the kidnapped buyer from a bunch of revenue agents and bring him to a drop off.

You get nothing as a reward, but if you don't rescue him you can't sell shine to decent buyers (other that Bert) for a cool down period (1 game day?).

OHHH, did not know what the punishment was; I just always rescue them because I figure I have to (guess so!)

In Hennington's stead, the dude is usually 40 yards from me. Why during part of it does it sometimes say, "Fast travel to your Moonshine

shack to be closer to the buyer!" (or something like that?) This makes no sense, since that would be very far away...

For me, it also never happens when I GO to do the Moonshine shack/delivery. Instead, I'll be out hunting and it will suddenly say

a moonshine buyer is kidnapped and that I should rescue.

he camp raid is easy, it's just an interruption.

I've had 4 or so of those, since I started on the RDO beta eons ago...  ;)

They seem to be very rare, even when my supplies are just sitting there

at the camp nearly full/at full.

So many annoying bugs still in the game.   Outfits disappearing from wardrobe, bounties not starting, dailies not working properly, horse getting stuck when fast travelling and getting stuck when trying to sell moonshine (still not fixed after nearly 15 months).   Are they even trying to fix these things?

It always happens to me when I'm pretty far away from the shack.

My shack is just north of Emerald, and there have been at least 3 rescues where I was a LOT closer to the mission before going to the shack first, for example I was in Bolger's and the mission ended up taking place in the Bayou yet the stupid programming wanted me to fast travel northwest then ride for 3 minutes southeast again.

I've also had the mission on a train next to the tunnel north of Valentine, which is an awful ride with a timer running only to have the buyer glitched out.

Extremely poor mission design, game breaking bugs, and being an annoying interruption is why I don't bother with these, and part of the reason I just don't bother selling shine unless the dailies require looting and a shine sale.

I'm not playing this game to be a monkey dancing to greedstar's tune whenever they want, and I've already made my money so I just don't care about whether there's an available buyer.

I just keep my special shine full so I can drink it for the gold rings and to eventually reset the award for getting drunk off your own shine (takes 4 drinks until you're staggering, males playing the banjo pretty funny 😁).

I often leave my camp full unless I need to donate more and there's no room for much the same reason: I don't need the money and I have other things planned that are more enjoyable.

If I could guarantee a shootout at the drop off maybe I'd do them more, but other than that sales are boring missions.

Camp raids only involve a few enemies and take a couple of minutes so they're not too bad, plus I can restock ammo while I'm there and fast travel back to where I want to go, so they're not that much of an inconvenience.

I enjoy taking out shine roadblocks, but I can usually get at least 2 of those randomly any day.

Not only that! That I need to clear my cashe and re-building my database on console just shows how bad the programming is! I bought a console just for not needing to do stuff like this on a daily basis!

Granted I play a lot in solo lobbies, but when I drop my camp flag and leave a full delivery with Cripps for a few days, something seems more likely to happen. The thing is, with this game's sometimes spotty programming you have no idea if something is happening (or not happening) because it's supposed to or not.

Was semi sort of AFK in Thieves Landing, some idiots tried to kill me while I was in defensive mode!!! Why the f*ck are some people so obsessed about trying to kill other players???

Those are the types of idiots that are looking for cheap, easy shots that require literally no skill at all and they just unfortunately happen to come across you. Had someone who was level 400+ (but not higher than I currently am) one night last week start blasting me while my character was idle for 2 mins maximum at the Saint Denis post office. I returned the favour then got out of there with their posse leader trying to follow even though they were bound to have seen that their friend killed me & got killed in return. Had 2 other players last night trail me for a little bit as I came up to Gus' location at Bard's Crossing and used that (supposedly) safe zone to grief, meaning that I got kicked out of being able to sell anything to Gus and had to wait around & return the favour to them back and forth for a while. 😑 Those types of idiots are now becoming too common in this game.

I wonder if that does happen more in solo lobbies (the camp invasion, kind of like the old "meat beggar" in your camp happens more if solo.)

That might be why I never see EITHER, anymore really.

(regarding players attacking out of the blue) Yeah, I had to do an Anthony Foreman the other day (for his daily, of the seven)

which put me in offensive.

So just RIDING to where I go to get the wagon from some guys, I see some blue dot following me (so this guy is REALLY obvious...)

Then I kill the dudes at the wagon and go to get on the wagon and the blue dot goes red and shoots at me, so I easily

shoot him dead with explosive revolver/pistol (ready just for that purpose!!!  ;) )

I think in that case maybe newer players THINK they are SUPPOSED to do that? I know the game prompts sometimes,

"go offensive to see rival mission."

Not the same as the "cheap and easy" ones you are talking about, where you seem AFK, but just kind of a general

hostile environment thing; really not bad on the Xbox One much, but still happens.

One of my posse mates introduced me to a game that is currently in demo mode and due to be released on April 1. I will not mention the game or developer since this isn't the place for it. I'm bringing it up as a comparison between the way two different developers make games and how they look at and treat players.

The demo allows you to play just about every aspect of the game with only the crafting and stash box being inaccessible.

We played the game for 14 hours yesterday. It's a co-op game and has cross platform support.

Playing the game we realized just how bad RDO is, not only game play but also how the developers treat players.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other game: We are serious about allowing players to play the way they want to play.

R*: We want players to play the way they want to play as long as they do it our way.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the vast variety of weapons, armor and skills each player can be truly unique, even in the demo. Sure, RDO has an element of uniqueness but when it comes down to it, outside of clothing, players are pretty much the same. Same weapons, same tonics, same ability cards, all roles maxed out, etc.

I find it funny that a game in demo has so few glitches especially when compared to a game that's been out there for over 2 years. Reading their news releases they actually acknowledge glitches and tell players which ones they have fixed, which ones they are working on, which ones won't be fixed in the demo but will be fixed in the full game, etc. They are quite transparent. Can that be said of R*? Psh.

What do we get from R*? Copy and paste responses from an outsourced "tech support" department staffed by people who have no idea what the game is, no acknowledgement of issues from R*, in fact trying to make it appear the problems are on the player's end (clear your cache/verify your files, blah, blah, blah), and no updates on the progress of fixing issues.

It is so refreshing seeing a developer talk to the players, taking their feedback serious, and treating players like they are important to them. What a novel idea.

Solo or PvE lobbies in RDO could be the same as a co-op game. The co-op stuff in the game as it is now has turned into more PvP than anything. A large majority of RDO players prefer co-op over PvP, as R*'s own numbers have shown them (something like 75%-25%). Does that matter to R*? Hell no. Again, play the game your way but the way we want your way to be.

In the demo game, the NPC enemies are tough, REAL tough. In RDO they are either cowards who won't fight or no contest when they do fight. No challenge. One thing we can't say about the other game is that it isn't challenging, especially as the world levels up. We spent 14 hours doing the same 3 missions that are available over and over and at no point was it not a challenge, even as our skills got better, nor was it boring. The higher we leveled up the more difficult the enemies got, and there are LOTS of them and they aren't stupid to the point they will stand out in the open while reloading. They are really good at using cover, constantly moving, and their snipers aren't slouches either. You won't take even the weakest NPCs out in one shot. It's also free aim, none of this auto aim stuff and no lock on cards. No tonics either. You actually have to use strategy and your actual skills to get out alive. We both got taken out quite a few times. Those elite enemies are real MFs. Each time we did a mission the NPCs did not do things the same way as other times so we couldn't figure out a best way to deal with them. IN RDO the NPC behavior and tactics are predictable so it's that much easier to take them out.

In RDO just use auto aim and aim assist, throw in tonics and ability cards. Yeah, real challenge.

The other game doesn't have built in cheats for NPCs either. The way NPCs fight and move and use cover is very realistic. When playing with a group the enemies are proportionately tougher. They don't get any new or extra perks, just the level of toughness is given a boost. I don't consider that a cheat, I consider that keeping the game balanced. Why should their toughness remain at the same level as it would be fighting against one player when you have more than one player going after them? In RDO it doesn't matter how many players there are, the already pathetically weak NPCs remain just as weak.

Each world level states exactly what changes in the NPCs abilities. You can see how much more difficult they will be. You do have the option of playing on a lower world level if you prefer.

Isn't that what a game is supposed to be? A challenge and things not just given to you? The idea you have to work to succeed rather than it being a gimme. Well, for me it is. RDO is way too easy, too many "cheats" for both human players and NPCs. There really is no fun factor to the game which became even more obvious after the marathon we had in the other game yesterday.

It has shown us just how bad RDO is and how unenjoyable it is anymore. R* could really take some lessons from these other developers to learn what fun is. It also really brings to light just how great RDO could be which makes the disappointment that much worse.

My camp has been attacked 3 times the last 1,5 month - one time the NPC's even got help from an online player, who started to shoot at me, when I was defending my camp and goods - was that really necessary .. 🤬 My youngest son was a good boy, and joined my posse instantly, spawning directly in my camp (the attacker had not seen this move coming .. 😆) and I do think this came as a bit of a surprise .. Ha hah .. 🤥

The old "meat beggar" has visited me three times also - first time I shot him (wasn't sure what he was up to) second time he ran when I entered the camp (maybe he remembered our first encounter ..) And the third time I wasn't aware of his presence, before "Crapss" asked me to do something about "the situation" (and I'm thinking, what situation, old fool ..) 🤣

Gave the old man some crustacean meat (never heard this word, before playing RDO .. 🙄) and he just thanked me, and ran ..

All of this happened mostly in the public lobby - but being playing a bit solo lately, I'm expecting this to be more frequent - I can confirm, that there are far more animal spawns (up 50 % maybe) and the Legendary are almost spawning each 15 minutes .. So, I'm very contend with the solo playing, but do play in the public area, when my two boys are joining - they really do like a good griefer .. 😏

Been having a bug since the last update, which prevents me from saving any outfits. Some research told me that it's due my character's bald haircut, yet switching it to a different didn't fix anything.

So one of my favorite part of this game has been disabled for a while now and i can't even contact support, since they tend to reset characters for fun now.

Someone posted on a comment to a video of mine that he had same problem, he had Buzzed head with a box hedge beard and he changed both to different and was then able to save outfits.

Does playing an instrument in the shack cancel a buyer rescue?

Right as I sat down to play the piano a buyer rescue popped up which ended instantly.

Guess I won't be rescueing that buyer then.

I don't know about that but I found out that forming or disbanding your posse when it pops up (but is not triggered as a mission yet) cancels the rescue. (Yay!)

So, tried the first of these new telegram missions (kind of by accident).  Outrider, it's called, escorting a wagon to Armadillo (nevermind that I'm all the way up north of Annesburg...).

So I get on the wagon and we're riding along.  Gigantic ambushes of 6-10 enemies, some on horse.  They'd need to give me a gatling gun to take out that many.  But, we ride by, and I expect to take out the pursuing riders when BOOM, rolling block headshot kills me.  Get that right.  An enemy on horseback, while both he and I am moving and maneuvering, and he oneshots me with a headshot.

So, I respawn, and have to catch up to the wagon, but there's around 15 enemies between me and the wagon and BOOM, rolling block headshot again.  Don't even know where from, there were enemies literally all around me.

So, I respawn and try one last time.  No more lives, you know, I catch up to the wagon, just in time for more bad guys at a roadblock to all start throwing dynamite.  BOOM, wagon destroyed, I blow up.

What fun.

Seriously, what fun?  How is this fun at all?  Sending me against an army of nearly 100 enemies ON MY OWN, who can aim a sniper rifle from horseback and oneshot me, PLUS enemies with dynamite that are so numerous they are guaranteed to hit you... and one hit destroys the wagon.  So, how is this supposed to be fun?

f*ck me, are we ever going to get some decent content for this game? I was in the "be patient" camp for so long, but not anymore. I've not even logged on in months... I'd like to though.

Yesterday I was exploring the map for collectibles, I was in Nwa Swamp near Lagras looking at the map and suddenly I hear shouting and the next thing I See is my Horse beeing killed by some sort of giant with explosive ammo, I thought it was one of those armors we wear on the fort mercer assault mission, but a lot bigger, kinda reminded me the Handy Men from Bioshock Infinite, but it was "just" a modder player. I fast traveled to Armadillo and that dude kept spawning on top of me, crushing me everytime. I can't understand how those player won't get banned and my friend got banned from GTA O because a modder gave him money, it's just ridiculous 🤦‍♀️

The modder coming after you wasn't affecting money or gold and possible gold sales so R* doesn't care.

Oh and Harriet can suck my f*cking balls as well. I have not played the game in WEEKS and the first thing I do is ride to her for a Legendary Animal mission and she f*cking sprays me. No killed animals on the way, are you seriously telling me that her being annoyed is remembered by the servers for that long and yet I cant keep players synced and randomly loses saved outfits?

Yep - she does remember (or the server does) .. Haven't been dealing with "Miss Davenport" for three "Stinking weeks" now (or was it three stinking days - LOTR quote..) and still can't get near her tent, before she starts telling me about her good sense of smell, or that she apparently is a stalker, and knows what I'm doing ... Could it be her, that keeps spooking the white tails, by lurking around in the shadows of bushes and trees, so I miss a clear headshot on a three star buck now and then ... 🤦‍♂️

Havent played in a week because more and more the games mechanics and poor mechanics have just been pissing me off.
So I come on today, within an hour, the search bounty? Bounty is there, can see the red dot, can hear him. Invisible or under the map. Timer come on. Entire time searching around the desert wasted as the timer runs out.

Next bounty, get her, selected reinforced lasso. Game doesnt give me it and i shotgun her head off.

Next bounty I lasso and hogtie. While this happens her back arrives and starts blasting me. My guy casually keep tying her up as if hes not being shot. I kill them and go to stow her and get on. Horse runs. I chase it back. Same thing, My guy casually gets on the horse under heavy fire.

Moonshine delivery. I always go though as agents never catch you on a short run. I'm in cinematic and going just over half speed, as always. Then by horse just decide to stop dead. My wagon gets blasted by agents. Yes, they dont shoot me but shoot my cart taking several bottles off.

I drive the cart off a cliff and close the game.

And I am on my tenth horse now. Every single one has been a cowardly piece of sh*t, every one. Now that cant just be bad luck because I read plenty of people with good horses and surely having ten must give you a good chance of at least getting on that doesnt bolt at the first sign of gunfire.

I have to be done with it this time. Every time I play now its just frustration, terrible horses, bad game mechanics, clunky controls and never ending repetition.

The pvp in this game is so broken. It was so great in the first game and somehow they managed to bastardize that to a load of nonsense. Why are there even tonics or ability cards at all?  And why do the modes change every week?  If you have a mode built just leave it in the game. FFS this sucks!   Literally all they had to do was add the pvp from the first game and build on top of it. As far as video game,es go this might be the biggest “screwed the pooch” of all time. I don’t understand. My mind is so blown. Thos old bag games at Tesoro azul?  Funnest sh*t of all time. I, so bitter about how bad they f*cked upcthe pvp in this game. And the worst part is there’s no recourse. They don’t listen to fans so my complaints are invalid. It’s so god damn frustrating.

We still play PVP on RDR multiplayer, loads of players. Every weekend it's a blast in Tesoro Azul. PS3 though.

Why do the daily challenges and invites get grayed out? We cannot complete the dailies when this happens nor do we get an invite to anything after a few hours of playing. They were working at first but just stopped. The thing is that this will happen to me every other time I play and this time it also happened to my husband as well?

Also, low level players with lassos. If you do not want to get into a big fight do not lasso a high level player as they are riding away from you, it tends to cause a grievance.

Are you playing when it turns midnight/rolls over to the new dailies? That is the only time they sometimes "gray out" for me.

I have to join a new session/lobby in online, from the main screen then; it doesn't always happen, either.

I'm on Xbox one, but have thought about going back and doing this with my RDR multiplayer character  ;)

I feel more like I'd do better now, having done SO MUCH "forced" online PVP stuff in this game; back in regular RDR online,

I'd avoid it and just have my online character do hideouts and stuff solo... lols...

Usually we start to play at 11 at night and we're on the West Coast PST. This time it happened after we went to Madam Nazar, when I came out of her buy/sell screen I was suddenly in my own server and so was my husband, that and I was kicked out of his posse and everything.

We swapped servers a few times that night with no change, and when we both restarted our games they came up for a few minutes but when my husband started the posse they greyed out for us again. For some reason the posse itself seems to be the one thing that is the constant when we have these types of problems.

Earlier it was a problem with not being able to clean guns, now it seems like the dailies are being affected.

I dunno what they are doing with this game but it is really weird. 😑

I just started playing the original for the first time online, lol unknowingly I had my aim at expert and was just confounded how hard the game seemed to be after not having played it for a few years. 😆

When RDR online first came out we were living in the middle of Iowa so we didn't have that great of an internet connection to play the online, I wished I had because it is really fun. My son has this thing for zombies so he has to play an undead character, which makes doing anything with him awkward. It's basically me playing my boy John (of course) with a zombie who won't shut up, and Seth (my husband's character of choice) going around and causing mayhem. Nothing to grind for, no reasons to feel pushed into doing anything. I like the ease of it all. 😁

It's just the horses are a nightmare to deal with in that game. The RDR2 ones have spoiled me.
