Only time the reset doesn't happen is while you're in camp or inside the shack. It would disconnect you after a while also.

yeah the game wont just leave you alone in your session even after gazillons attempts lol

Lol. Was playing RDO about two hours ago and forgot about those "bonuses", got to jump back in; not even sure it is even worth it, I already own everything that would be an actually useful discount.

Exactly, i found it immediately after try... it is really worthless.  i have noticed that after bounties or missions in general, dynamic events spawns inmediately, thats good, but aside that there is hardly time for the game to spawn anything outside of a few meters range, due to the sessions continous change... it doesnt work as gta does... pitifully.

So I finally got to rank 97 of the outlaw pass to get the fast travel thing but there’s no option for it from the wilderness camp. Is it glitched?

Since when Wolf and Panther does not qualify to Deadly Predators? Got both of them (carcasses) and stowed it on hunting wagon along with alligator skin. Gave it to Cripps on voila only the skin counted. Ok i just realized it now,it does not considered "Deadly Predators" since they were "Dead". Nice Logic C*

Not having these issues here with MTU i just wait till the notification in top left corner of the merge goes away and all works ok then for 30 seconds so select what you need to start in that short space

Maybe the 2 you killed were someone's pet and not deadly.  🙂

For some reason I don't get credit for "deadly predators" if donating them from the hunting wagon.  I assume it's a bug

Since a few time ago, i only get credit for it when i donate the skins, not rhe whole carcases...

I thought the opposite last night actually, even pointed out to my friend I thought all cores were draining quickly

That’s just pure insanity. There’s absolutely no reason they couldn’t just add the knife back to his characters inventory. It seems like they’re actually happy about this. They see the long time players as leaches at this point and are thrilled every time another one leaves.

Thrilled....for now. Let's see how long the revolving door of short time players continues. Eventually it'll die down to a crawl, much like R*s content.

 

It's hard for me to fathom why anyone who has played this game for a good length of time continues to support this group at R* by continuing to play seeing how R* looks at the long timers.

They call this "the Churn."  It's a business model a lot of game developers moved to, as part of the microtransaction store model.  The idea is just what we see here.  Get new players into the game to spend as much money on crap, as quickly as possible, and don't care if they stay, because all that matters is the NEXT batch of new players.  It's not sustainable, and businesses know it.  The goal is to get as much money as quickly as possible, and not bother trying to have a long term game.

I mean, how hard would it to simply add the damned thing back?(Not hard I would imagine). Or even easier, couldn't the player just go find some Murphy Brood or Skinner Brother with a knife, kill him and loot the knife?(Granted, I don't know if that would work in Online).

Anyway, this just goes to prove that Rockstar Support are just beyond horrible... I mean, just in case you didn't know before... I mean they did reply to their own tweet about a bug in the game and ask themselves to contact support at one point.

Hell, I was once told to download the Moonshiner Update to fix an issue I was having in the Moonshiner update...

 

Anyway, that player deserves some sort of heavy compensation, they broke his character and refused to properly fix it. Aholes!

This is not only upsetting but it's scary, and frankly, a bit heartbreaking to think that I have put so much into this game with the faux ideas being put in my head by R* that they wanted to make it something great. Hell I thought that I was honestly going to be spending good money on in game purchases for this game, and that I was going to be playing this game for years to come. GTA online has had a long life, I wanted this so much for RDO as well but it looks like that's not going to be the case.

 

At this point all I want is to be able to take my character into a personal game and just say to hell with it with online all together. It seems like this might be the only way to keep the character safe from R*'s idiocrasy and their inability to not break their own game coupled with their blatant willingness to not fix their mistakes.

Are there any faults to this, of course I will forgo the ability to play with my family and friends. But let's face it, although that was fun for a while nobody really wants to log on anymore, I feel that is becoming a moot reason to stay online.

 

And will this actually keep everything from being corrupted by R* and their broken updates?

Quite possibly not? I get this feeling because I recently decided to start playing my original Clemens point save from when the game first came out (the one with the gold bar in the burned town glitch), and the first thing that happens when I wander into camp is everyone complaining about Arthur not wearing warm clothing? Obviously something got screwed up and now it's affecting my story mode game.

 

R* would have had me as a loyal, paying customer if they just showed some inkling of being truly worthwhile as a game company. And while I spend good money on games like the Sims 4, etc on a regular basis I will not be giving any other R* games the same treatment.

Now off to play with my "definitely looks like my RDO character Ruvik, but who really is not Ruvik" character from Fallout 4. I love dealing with Pyramid Head and the Siren creatures from that Whispering Hills mod, now if only I had a horse to ride. 😁

May be the true reason they don't want solo or small lobbies. Players wouldn't feel the need to spend money to "catch up" with higher ranked players.

 

Here's an interesting thing I read. Basically R* is now targeting people who will buy the game on the cheap but also thinks those people who didn't want to pay more for the game will want to spend a lot of money in the game. Kinda f*cked up logic if you ask me.

If your first interaction with the customer is about “free” and “cheap”, then you risk attracting people who are not looking for the value you provide. These “freebie” collectors are the most likely to leave.

I would do the same if they where more open about the future of the game! And had weekly patches to fix stuff!

Issues like no horse tail and skins are still here, putting up the wilderness camp is broken like there are to few spots!

Doing the train supply for camp is won´t load/start when you have the camp around Willard´s Rest and I bet there are more camp spots with the same issue.

And to last why all this restrictions with combining cloth????

You mean audience that just going to grind/litch of the game?

 

That is so true! But in business it is all about short term gain as you wrote. S I wrote in my other paragraph they really need to let RDO to blossom!

I ran into a 'save the hostage' encounter yesterday, and I used to think it was glitched, but now see it's tightly scripted: if you pick up the tied hostage you get wanted for kidnapping and the mission is ruined.

I've seen this in a livestream before and that's why I thought it was glitched, but I've done this one twice myself and the same thing keeps happening if you pick up the hostage rather than cut them free.

The problem is that there are 2 bodies and the hostage immediately next to a lockbox. Looting the bodies and lockbox is problematic because even tiny variations in your angle of view give you an interaction with the wrong item, so I decided to move the hostage before untying her, thus getting wanted for kidnapping.

No other NPC was around, so the only 'witness' is the hostage themselves, after untying her she runs off as a white witness symbol on the mini map.

 

This is indicative of a design flaw that spans the current greedstar games: that the player is forced into tightly scripted automatic interactions and animations which only seem designed to delay and frustrate the player.

Another fine example is the automatic animation of holstering long arms while on horseback, these override any commands given by the player and quite often cause severe problems with the timing of dismounting or drawing a weapon.

Also when rescuing a stranger if you dismount on the way to the drop off to loot bodies you frequently are forced into an awkward interaction with the stranger causing your character to turn to face them and back away instead of obeying player inputs.

 

More and more this gives the feeling of being designed by a committee where none of the members consult each other and the final control layout feels patched together and often contradictory.

That's the general characteristic of greedstar games: a beautiful overlay with a constant nagging underside of tedious inconveniences that seem to be trying to overcome any positive aspects that keep players engaged.

 

Coupled with the apparent lack of intent to exploit the games' potential it's making it harder to keep interest in this game.

GTA suffers from exactly the same issues, and all they keep doing for that is add more ways to make money faster, so clearly they're aiming new content at those short term players.

It's not hard to see why several key members of the original dev team have left, they've abandoned making a quality game and embraced pure commercialism.

@kcole4001 I have done plenty of bounties and here I have noticed that hitboxes for picking them up is all wonkie too! It is like looking for a needle in a haystack to fin the right angle!

Unfortunately that angle problem has bled over into the story. Yesterday I was unable to pick up a gold ingot I had been able to get in previous play through. So they are managing to f*ck up the story as well. A lot of glitches that weren't there the first time I played.

I would think, and I may be wrong, having a long term, steady cash flow would be better than a short, temporary boost in revenue. This is why I believe they are not planning on developing this game very much longer. If they were they'd take care of long term players who would be more than willing to spend money IF they were given something of value to spend it on and would continue to do so as long as that value was there and felt the company cared about ALL the players.

 

As an example, I've been playing the Civilization series since the first edition and to this day I still pay for DLC or anything else that may cost anything. I trust the developers of that game and after all these years I know they are acting in good faith, which is something I can't say about R*. The two games sure make vastly different decisions about everything.

 

Another Take-Two game, NBA2k, plays the same game with the players. Every year they put out a new version which adds only cosmetic stuff, the game play is still bad with the same issues as previous years. In reading what the vast majority of NBA PC buyers are saying, there is nothing new to NBA 2k21 PC at all. NOTHING. In fact, a few elements of mycareer were removed and the rosters were exactly the same as the previous version. Yet 2k charged full price. For some reason people keep preordering it every year thinking things will be different then complain how the game is no better, or even worse, than the previous year. This applies to online and mycareer/myteam, etc. And of course just about everything is behind a pay wall. What's even worse is that after all the patches, just about everything that was hyped as new, except the cosmetic stuff, gets removed. Basically, screw the buyer, just market it as the second coming of Christ so people will preorder it and then ignore their complaints after they've gotten the money. At what point will people stop buying the marketing hype and realize they are being taken to the cleaners?

 

Stop preordering and wait for release to see what people are saying. Most of the preorder bonuses these games offer are cosmetic anyway.

 

Sorry for going on about 2 other games but all 3 games are owned by Take-Two.

You are not wrong! Playing games like sim city/city skylines/ transport fever I have learned that a small revenue is better than nothing!

But with investors it is opposite with the earning of income! They want a short monetary gain instead of earning the same amount over a longer time.

 

Nah, it is not wrong talking about other games when highlighting a example.

Certainly its a bug but this minor bug really cut big chunk of my time. Oh i forgot,theres no "efficiency" word in c* dictionary. Everything must go as slow as possible.
