Idk if this going to work for you but whenever that kind of thing happened to me, i just rode away until i got notification that I've abandoned the job. Exactly the same reason with you, dont want to deal with it.

You could take it off the horse, flee the horse and call your hunting wagon and store it there.

Kinda the same here today, all I had was Bert.

I sold it to him for the distance, but still had to make 2 trips of it, and those revenuers kept coming right down to the last 30 seconds before I switched sessions.

 

I had over a week where the only 1st tier mix I could do was Poison Poppy, no idea why, I had plenty of ingredients.

It has started working again.

 

Some days they want you to chase the broken dailies that you know won't work.

On those days I do a few easy ones then start up some other game if I know I'm not getting 9/9 roles done without a hassle.

Wasteland 3 is out, so I'm in that usually.

Same here, first one held 23, I switched so I didn't have to do the brawling bootlegger mission, and the next session had 22. 😑

Also, fast travel removed the carcasses I had on my horse again.

 

FFS can't they fix anything and keep it fixed? 😬😬😬

Yeah, I've been tempted to go back to Escape from Tarkov, but the atmosphere is too intense (excellent weapon mechanics and customization though).

 

Just wish there was a good, persistent open world PC game with solid weapon mechanics that lets you keep what you collect (i.e. no wipes or resets).

I told you I feared it would be back for Tuesday. This happened just around the time they would have been starting/finishing word depending on which team does fixes.

I liked those small session but 20+ is overkill! Many on reddit complained so I hope they are happy now! I was holding my thumbs for they should keep this until next gen was released!

You know what? Despite the game currently functioning properly, I think I’ve seen and played enough for a while.

 

I doubled my five-figure bank in just a month without dedicating to the collector role. I’ve recuperated more than the sum of gold I’ve spent on the moonshine shack and unfinished 2nd outlaw pass. Literally the only reason I keep going is to maintain the daily gold streak, and that’s it.

 

I have no interest in the naturalist role, not even if it was given to me for free. I can easily live without those skills, and Harriet’s methods of dosing animals with narcotics are inhumane, better to shoot them in the head than subjugate them to suffering and f*ck up with the food chain that seriously harms the predators bound to eat the drugged animal. We constantly see that happen in real life.

 

Vent over. Or rather not, I might whinge about more experiences I had the last few days later, I don’t know.

Who could reject paradise ? and for what!!! To be griefed ? To play with friends and posse? There is real life outside to hang out with people!!! For the rest deathmatches, races etc are more than enough.

Has the spawn into camp ever worked for anyone?  Every time I've tried it since it was introduced I just end up on an infinite loading screen.

It's my preferred entry point, use it almost every time I load the game unless I'm aiming for a specific region where I know my camp isn't.

LOL. That's exactly how I feel!

 

Some say they like the interaction with other players. What interaction? Most players are running so fast you barely see them. I guess there are emotes but that isn't exactly excitement to me and certainly not something to draw me into playing and who hangs around long enough for you to emote? Maybe interaction is a code word for griefing. 🤷‍♂️

There is no incentive to co-op! All rolls we got so far you can solo, stranger missions too! We got A update but but it is empty! So the last days in small lobbies the game was fun again!

 

And what the F is it with dailies and connected stuff not spawning? Do you need a train for daily, sorry nopp can´t have one! But do the the daily and there is more trains than you can count! Same thing with bootlegger events! And so on!

 

And what is the point of reporting bugs and issues to R*? They take a long time to fix it if they even bother!

It's just a game my guy. Best not to think so deeply about these things.

whats with all the kicking all the sudden when i want to reload my weapon ? its like a bloody kickboxing event. last night i even kicked a chicken to death whilst i wanted to reload only ? any one ales having this ? another thing is why is my guy now moving when i press L2 (i think its L2 -  the one under). This also didnt happen before and its quite annoying. Most of all in sniping mode and my bloody horse keeps moving. PS4

If RDR2 was “just a game”, it wouldn’t be full of environmentalist and political messages, as well as commentary on the suffering human greed and self-importance causes.

These bugged rescue missions where the NPC you need to rescue won't move and will instead just cower are getting really annoying.

These "fixed" Lobbies can suck my love stick.

 

Went Online last night after reading about them being fixed and immediately I am greeted by three players murdering the entire town of Rhodes, once all the NPCs are were dead they turned on each other.

 

No random events, my Camp failed to spawn even with the marker being there and the mood was dead.

 

Other players remind me I am playing a game and spoil my immersion. Once that's gone the grind becomes evident and I lose interest. 

 

I liked the small Lobbies because I didn't have to look over my shoulder all the time. I actually fished for the first time in ages when my Camp was near a river.

Hm. I've never noticed those messages. I guess if someone is looking for things like that they will, but it is a game. Do you go out in the real world on horseback and play cowboy? No, you turn on a machine. Therefore, it is nothing more than a game. These are not real animals. They are not real people. They are digitized creations.

I mean, actual conservationists and vets need to sedate animals all the time, be it for study, treatment, or whatever - they dissipate and wear off pretty quickly, so the effect on the food chain is negligible, so I don't know where you're getting "we constantly see that happen in real life" from... :dontgetit: The only difference with RDO is that in real life, tranquilised animals are normally brought in for observation as well, and released when the effects have worn off - but even then, the point is less that prey animals will be full of sedative (that might harm predators), and more that the animal being released isn't still partly sedated, and thus can't take care of itself.

 

And in general, RDO's handling of it is a really simplified, generalised version, for the sake of gameplay - same as how you can't hunt so much that it has lasting effects on the regional ecosystem, or murder so many people in a town like Rhodes that people move out, property prices drop, the economy tanks, etc. It's all glossed over - so sedative rounds wear off 100% without side-effects, animal revivers do the same job instantly, and it's all much neater and tidier than reality.

Hello all.

 

I just recovered my account to post ITT. I've only been playing RDO on PC for about ~7 days now, didn't play SP much at all and I'm rank 32 now so everything has been super fresh to me and I think I'm at a good place now to be able to post my biggest complaints on the core game play mechanics so far. I bought a bunch of Gold Bars and the outlaw pass to start with so I could unlock all the roles and get the full experience (too old to grind video games these days) and overall I've had a really great experience. I can't believe I slept on this game! I played the SP up to chapter 2 when the game first game out but for some reason it did not draw me in the way it is doing now. I'm also extremely impressed with how well the game runs on my 3600/5700. ~80 FPS on mostly ultra/high @240hz = GORGEOUS game. Just buttery smooth and very easy on the eyes.

 

But, since this is a bitch and moan thread, I'm going to post the things that have really stood out to me that I think R* should address

 

  • PVP badly needs a no tonic/no ability card/same guns mode with option to create free aim only lobbies as well

I understand full well how R* operates and how to them the dollar is king, so everything is incentivized towards buying gold bars, I get it and I accept it, but there has to be a mode where there is none of these things are in play and it's just pure PvP combat. I feel this would help boost the overall player count because it wouldn't be so brutal on new players and overall be a more fun experience to have a pure skill based PvP mode. Right now I don't even bother with PvP not because the gun play isn't fun, it's great fun, but because it's just incredibly unbalanced all the time. There is no teamwork, everyone is just running around like chickens with their heads cut off. PiB is fun against NPC's but it's stupid for PvP, same with slippery bastard. My first few hours playing PvP was just a slaughter. It wasn't fun. Once I figured out the meta and acquired the stuff I needed to 'get good', I did alright. Look it's okay, but it's still just not as fun as it could be IMO. It's just really cheesy. R* wants to grow the game, well fix the PvP and make it accessible to people who don't have time/inclination to grind/purchase the necessary items to not get destroyed every game.

 

  • Slow down Day/Night time cycle

This is more personal preference and I'm sure some will disagree... I don't have to tell you guys, this game is absolutely stunning visually and there is nothing more disappointing to me than not being able to enjoy a sunset or a sunrise before it's over in 15 seconds. I understand the need to condense time in relation to distance traveled and such, but I would really appreciate it if the day/night time cycle didn't fly by so quickly. Going out for a hunt in the morning and by the time you get to your spot, the sun is rising again, or going into a shop to browse the catalog or playing poker and having days go by, it's just immersion breaking and really arcadey.

 

  • Can't fish from a boat

Okay this one is minor but I had to throw it in because it completely blew me away when I realized they wouldn't let you fish from a boat... Seriously!? From what I've read you were able to do this in SP, but for some reason you cannot in MP? Why!? Okay, maybe saving for a future role (Fisherman?) but seriously why would you remove even the basic ability to fish from a boat. This really bothered me I'm not going to lie.

 

  • Guns degrade way too quickly

So I bought some of the leather wraps for my sawed off shotguns hoping that would help the problem but it really didn't. Basically after any firefight where I used most of my ammo (which is alot of them) my guns would be at close to half condition. I have no problem with the gun oil/cleaning feature, I actually enjoy it, gun oil is cheap and plentiful, but I think it's completely unrealistic how quickly they dirty and how frequently you have to clean them to keep them working as intended. It becomes tedious after awhile.

 

  • No in game text chat

I'm sure some may disagree with this as well but the game feels so empty and lonely not being able to talk to others. I try voice chat others and rarely ever get a reply. I understand why they left it out, but I think it's sad not even being able to say hello to someone through text for a MP game. IMO The emotes are just god awful.. Way too clunky and cheesy and take too many keystrokes to pull off, locking you into an animation you can't get out of until it completes.... They really are not a good way to communicate at all. Please give people on option to use text chat if they want to, if it bothers them they can turn it off just like they do with voice chat.

 

  • The story missions are way too easy and as such, nobody ever works together

The biggest complaint I have about doing the matchmaking story missions is that the enemies and objectives are so easy, and because of that, there is zero teamwork because everybody is just sprinting ahead trying to John Wayne the entire mission by themselves. I think if you made the enemies a lot harder and forced people to work together, it would be much more rewarding.

 

  • Taking one or two drags/sips of a cigarette/cigar/whiskey and immediately tossing it

WTF. This one bothered me the most next to not being able to fish out of a boat. I'm currently loving this game for the immersion factor it gives me, I spend 50% of my time just fishing or walking around/hunting and taking it all in, but stuff like this just instantly puts a bad taste in my mouth and disconnects me from the game entirely. How can you let me walk around camp and eat my stew as I please, but I can't take my time and do the same with a cigarette or bottle of bourbon while enjoying the beautiful scenery you built for us. Just shameful. Stuff like this really bothers me because it's so simple and shouldn't even be a thing, but for some reason, it is. I seriously don't get it.

 

The big game content that we all want, I can wait patiently for that, the small stuff though is a special kind of frustrating because you know it's likely not going to get changed at all, if ever.

 

There is a lot more but this post has already gotten far too long and I apologize if I've said anything that has been harped about a million times over already. This game really does has a stupid amount of potential and it's saddening to me that so much of the small immersion breaking details seem to get overlooked. I'm aware of the hopeful future updates such as lawman, more outlaw content with train/bank heists, being able to purchase properties and such in the future, all which would be very awesome and are badly needed, but there are also ALOT of small things that are currently in game and need to be addressed and that really shouldn't require that much man hours to fix.

 

Again, love this game and I'm definitely going to stick around but yeah, some of the core gameplay decisions really have me shaking my head and wondering what were they thinking. So many things they could let us do and totally have the capability to do so, but for some reason they just don't let us...

 

Really hoping R* keeps going with this game and doesn't milk it slowly, there is so much potential here this game could last forever.

Master archer: A great game mode concept ruined by unnecessary PVP.

 

 

Also bonus, the game just decided to kick me out as soon as it started for no reason and was stuck on infinite loading screen until I quit and reloaded. Thanks rockstar!
