In an invite only lobby, I'd prefer the old animation. In a public lobby, I prefer character control as fast as possible and no animation at all. 
And I particularly dislike the 'initiate action, wait for the animation to complete, before being able to initiate another'. 
I mean, we're all well capable of applying a lure right after assembling the fishing pole, without having to hold it upright and shuffle our feet into position first.

This goddamn bitch Harriet really needs to be toned down. Haven't killed an animal in days (RL ones), nor am I wearing any Gus made sh*t and I still get sprayed by this psycho neurotic bipolar bitch. 

Can't even pick up a mission from this squirrel scat face queen or buy sedative ammo. I sure the hell am not planning on ranking up with taking samples and crafting my own ammo for 14 ranks up. She either needs a stick of dynamite or dynameat up her ass!

^I did threw some sticks, molotovs and poisoned shine at her tent. She's still there...unfortunately.

 

They can keep this role and stick it up to where the sun doesn't shines. What a f'in waste of resources!

A friend of mine killed a deer and put it on my horse. I didn't know why or think anything about it at the time. We were riding around for awhile and eventually went to see her. She sprayed me but talked to him. My character came back to consciousness with my friend's character pointing and laughing at me.

 

It's gotten so I just figure Harriet's nappy time into my playing. I make a temporary camp after she does it and do my crafting until she gets over herself. I'm not able to clean my weapons while in temporary camp which is weird. When I play solo (which is 99% of the time), I always use Harriet in Lagras because she is so close to the fast travel--but my temp camps are sometimes dangerously close to gators. (Didn't Rockstar lower the cap on the number of alligator skins we could hold in our wagons?)

I get that she sprays people who've killed animals recently, but I haven't in several RL days and she keeps spraying me. Haven't been able to interact with the bitch normally in at least a week. 

With the current mechanics, R* again delivered a broken ass role. A neurotic spoiled bipolar brat, a good for nothing trapper crafting ugly ass coats and not a legendary animal in sight for days. 

All that after a 7 month drought of content. It's even pisspoor as a joke.

This bush b**ch, Umm Foo Foo (Eddie Murphy: Raw) has become the least favorite part of the update for me. Thank All the greater powers that I'm rank 20, & will only really visit her to extend my wardrobe of her woodland friends. 12 & counting, fithy dirtball !!!

Re-enter free roam and you still load into your old area before FT yet R* has taken your FT payment!

Outlaw Pass #2: Half a dozen vouchers for vests, and yet all the vest options are either manky-looking things I'll never use, or the few that don't look like arse aren't covered by the discount vouchers.

 

Outlaw Pass #3: Rockstar adds a neat-looking vest, and the new clothing-related vouchers work on any new DLC stuff - so naturally, there aren't any vouchers for vests this time.

 

 

 

...oh, even better: R* just added an offer for a free vest - but only if you craft a coat for Gus. And I don't ever visit Gus. It's almost like they're deliberately trying to f*** with me...

 

(not going to break my 'Gus can do one' rule just for a freebie - I'll just go arrest some more murderers or something, make a few extra gold bars, and just buy the bloody things...)

I could see why R* added the elephant gun, but it's useless since you can't use it on her.

Started up a distant trader sale.

It didn't switch to the cut scene of Cripps talking sh*te, instead he kept saying 'in your own time etc'.

Had to close out.

Came back in and managed to complete the sale.

 

Went to that c*nt Harriet for the new mission.

Started it up and hit with black screen.

The actual mission had loaded in the background, I could hear NPCs and could interact with my character.

No option but to close app.

Loaded back in, went to Harriet and of course, the mission isn't available.

 

R* fix your f*ckin broken game. How many patches are you going to apply before you admit its f*cked?

Managed to get the Banded Gator mission to spawn again.

Killed the gator. 

Skinned it.

Loaded back into freemode and Gus's shop wouldn't spawn.

I sort of knew where it was so headed there.

I have to say, it’s incredibly f*cking ridiculous that I encountered not one, not two, not three, but FOUR posses chasing after me over my wagon on a distant delivery, and that’s on-top of being chased by NPC bandits.

 

What an absolute sh*tshow. Good thing the disconnect Alert screen interrupted the carnage, because I saw dynamite arrows being fired in my direction. I’m never, ever doing distant deliveries, even if I’m desperate for daily challenge gold.

I really wish Rockstar would match clothing color options better in this game. I really like the look of the worn gray Fernwater coat but none of the pants seem to look good with it because nothing matches that color gray.. And you can forget trying to coordinate colors of different items of clothing because every shade is different. Like why can't they make a red pair of pants the same shade of red as a red vest or shirt?

Happens when a mission is triggered closeby, like a moonshiner roadblock etc. Highly annoying. Why did they suddenly added this?

 

I noticed when I did GTA yacht missions you start off by walking forward automatically, it's as if that same movement is now in Red Dead too

Last night i loaded into my camp on FIRST attempt
Played for TWO hours with no disconnects or infinite loading screens.
Great.

However horses are still bugged with dirty horse and hearing impairment bug.
Horses will not come sometimes when called from a distance.
Change horses and my Perlino Andalusian arrives looking like it had rolled around in a pile of coal.
Brush clean my Andalusian and send for my MFT which arrives filthy.
All horses need brushed every 5 minutes, it seems, to keep them clean.
NOT great.

I popped in for a quick session because I forgot to upload a couple of camera pics to social club (which is annoying that you have to do this in game), and found I was in a very small session, so I though to take advantage and make a shine sale then scout around to see if I could find any treasure maps/treasure hunters.

I came across a hunter tracking a grizzly during my shine sale (got a bit of a fright because I dismounted the wagon to go closer to see if it was a treasure hunter then the bear came after me).

Later came across a runaway coach rescue mission, then the legendary Tatanka bison appeared nearby, shot and killed him.

Then I found a random shine still mission.

All in the space of just over 30 minutes.

 

Point is, nothing like this happened during almost 3 hours doing dailies this afternoon with over 20 players in session, in fact I saw exactly zero random events all afternoon and the last LA I saw was over a week ago (which oddly enough was the same bison which I sampled & revived in the same location west of Emerald in a solo session after using the character editor)...

Had the same just now, was in public lobbies to do some sighting missions. One session was just 1 other player, he left and the game didn't merge me into a new session, I stayed for a few minutes, never got a merge for some reason.

Ya I played with my firend yesterday in a posse. I killed one goat. He was trading and killing all day, she sprayed me not him and Ive been barley killing anything. Today she's mad at me again I tried to catch 3 pickrel when flaky fish was a daily she sprayed me after catching them it's annoying when someone just does trading all day while I kill 3 things in an entire day and get sprayed...

They definitely broke some stuff again, the dailies don't change unless you join a new session. Just drunk some alcohol which is on the list today but it didn't check the daily for me...

Gotta hand it to Rockstar. They’ll pump out a dozen patches after each time they update the game, except those patches won’t fix anything significant, like the infinite loading screens of moonshiner and bootlegger missions everyone has experienced since December.

 

What a joke. A yet another good haul stowed on my horse lost.

You need to be in a party on PS4 to do it. Not sure how/if it works on other platforms. Host a private poker lobby and invite a friend. Have said friend accept the invite and immediately tell you when it says processing invite in the bottom right corner. 

 

Right when it says processing, join your friend's session through the party. It should put your friend in a lobby by themselves. They can invite you and 6 others max from there.

But it's a personal thing. Some people would rather not glitch and just play the game as is--griefers, disconnections, infinite loading screens, broken lobbies, broken camps, broken animal spawns, broken Harriet, etc.--and complain about how broken the game is. We're all different and have different tolerances when it comes to something like this.

 

My tolerance level for things such as this is very low, so...

Yeah, the invite only lobby method is a godsend. Really reinvigorated my love for RDO, despite its many flaws.

@RyuNovaYou can do it without a party. The person sending the invite can simply "leave" the poker table when the friend is joining. You wait on the alert screen and confirm once the "processing join" appears.  It's the same for PC & consoles to my knowledge.

Well - a couple of griefers seem to have completely fouled up my game.

I was off hunting for some arrowheads yesterday using the maps - and a gang of griefers decided to gang up on me non-stop for about 10 minutes when I was simply trying to find a dig site.  I switched to a new session and nothing's showing up on the spots - even a day later.  Naturally I recorded the footage of the griefing then reported them for griefing via the xbox system - with a link to the footage then loaded into a new session.

I still don't understand the mindset of people who want to ruin everyone elses' days - but I do have to admit it is satisfying to show them up in other games - but with Red Dead it's kind of hard to have one person by themselves fend off a group of 4 or 5 guys who don't even give you a chance to f*cking respawn...
