So... a minor thing, but I've only just logged in.  My glasses are suddenly dark opaque black lenses instead of the normal clear ones.  I'm using the ones from the Collector line, anyone know how to get them back to being clear?

Well, they've added a whole new class... plus all the animals and game systems necessary for that, plus cutscenes and voicework... so yeah, this seems pretty significant to me.

 

However, TWENTY FIVE GOLD?!??!  That's absurdly expensive.  The other professions were what... 10 or 15?

Yeah I don't understand what's so special about moonshiner or naturalist warrant a 10gb increase in price. Other than Rockstar's greed that is. They have no more content than the original 3 roles

Moonshiner is a decent role... but not very engaging.  You go and do a bootlegger mission... then have to WAIT to do another.  If you don't want to, you go down and start a batch... and then sit around for an hour.  Sitting around isn't very much fun.  At least as a Trader you're out hunting some more game.

 

On another note... something new happened while on a trader delivery.  Started riding from my camp near Valentine.  Not far along, a gang of riders started shooting at me, about 12 of them.  Kind of unexpected, I thought they were there for someone else, but they were chasing ME.  Took them out easily enough (I have to say, I much prefer my double barrel shotgun to my pump action).  Drove another short distance (to where the road crosses back over the tracks, and another dozen.  These ones oneshotted me from beyond shotgun range.  Respawned, and rode them down.  Fair enough... sure were a lot of them, though.  12 horses, about half of them had 2 men on them.  So carried on.  As I got past the tracks on my way to the fishing dock, ANOTHER 12 riders.  Finished them off, and approached the dock, mission complete.  Pretty unexpected for somewhere around 50 men to come attacking a wagon full of assorted animal parts...

I’ve gotten that a while back on before the Moonshiner update, when doing a long distance delivery, I was wondering where all these O’Driscolls were coming from and tailing me. I haven’t seen it happen since that one time, so though it may have been a glitch, but seems they may have brought them back with this update.

The prices get more and more stupid, i mean it was already stupid having to pay gold for clothes but 25 gold bars for a few things, it's literally my biggest gripe with the game, the prices make little sense and are just there so you would have to grind or buy gold bars for a simple role that lets you do more content, it's annoying as all hell

All the neck pieces we got from the previous passes or events are all broken and polygons missing. Also all my buckles are clipping terribly on the Nazar belts, they made the clothing more form fitting but man is it busted...

I just don't understand how anyone could see it as fun being put into a scenario of "ok you're gonna get ambushed by 4 wolves here and your only weapon is going to be a pea shooting varmint rifle"

would you try to kill a bear in real life with a nerf gun? Even that sounds more fun than trying to kill predators with the joke of a varmint rifle this f*cking naturalist role requires you to use

She also gets angry when you kill animals(she maced me twice and refused to take my samples) Which is required for trader and butcher. Sooo are we just not to make any money?

It's as if the concept of adding something like a Blow Pipe so we could use higher dose darts on larger animals was completely beyond R*.

The content it adds is decent, a bar to drink special beverages and a band to play with... but the mechanic and money-making process are tedious and dull.

 

But, that was my perspective back in December, I have no idea if Rockstar addressed these issues by now.

Well, I'm  having an awesome bug... Whenever I take out my camera to take a snapshot, the game closes/quits ( on me) and I get presented with the startscreen of the launcher… AWESOME...

At least moonshining was something you’d expect an outlaw to be involved with. The bar and the band was great and you sort of got a new property so those things alone made it worth it.

 

Naturalist is going to be tedious as hell especially for people with not much time to play the game. I think they should have just added the legendary animals/trapper alongside something else. Like seriously who’s got the patience for this role when I can just go and do trader now they’ve fixed the animal spawns (which is what I’ll be doing)? Honestly I would have been happy with legendary animals/trapper alongside the ability to rob trains in free roam or something. I haven’t got the time or the patience to be studying/tracking/skinning/sampling all these animals in the game. I could barely tolerate it in single player for long. I mean we are already engaging with animals in the trader. It’s pretty much the same except we can now sedate them.

Its disappointing nearly two years in we cant engage in simple outlaw activities. It’s like the people who made the update wanted this in the game so that’s what we got. They aren’t really listening to what the fans want.

The thing that's triggered me with this update... I've already done the naturalist in single player 18 months ago.

 

 

We've been hunting the same animals for like almost 2 years,now they want us to study/track/kill and skin them all again. Then on top of that sedate/sample and photograph

Harriet is so f*cking annoying. My character is a outlaw convict escapee. Why does he have to take this sh*t from this crackhead? I want to continue the story with horley and mrs.laclerk! I wonder who at rockstar thought harriet wouldve been a good character. Instead of a crazy white women they shouldve used a Native american and opened up wapiti. I would much rather go to wapiti and get the supplies. And it would make more sense, the natives couldve been trying to preserve the animals and land. That probably would make me not kill so much. But i can give a damn about what this druggy bih says to me

I actually like some of the legendary animal head pieces but I wish they were not attached to a jacket. Makes outfits pretty limited when you have to add the jacket to your outfit as well.
