What is the deal with all the triggerhappy noobs lately? Been playing without any issues the last couple of weeks (the usual, I look around for collectibles and do the odd moonshiner/trader sale, and deal with anything along the way) and most strangers like to just stick to themselves, just like me.

But last night people were attacking me for absolutely no reason. I thought most people didn't do that anymore on Red Dead. Honestly, who plays this game for PvP anymore? I play it when I feel like taking a peaceful walk in the woods.

Bonus points to those idiot noobs who see you, and then make a sharp U-turn to start following you. Like could you be more obvious? And if that's how you play this game, is it even worth it? There are more people around to shoot at in CoD: Warzone or whatever else have you.

I have been attacked a few times recently as well. I hope its not going the same "You either die a Hero or live long enough to see yourself become the Villain" route that GTAO where people get so bored of the game they start being dicks and realise they like it and become griefers.

No offence but you can complete the "Poison the Moonshine still" missions via stealth. I have done it many times. You can even complete the Moonshiner Story mission of the same objective via stealth.

There is one I haven´t figured out to stealthy is south of Emerald Ranch, north of the stable outside Rhodes. In a burnt down house.

There is also the one just west of Heartland Overflow on the small hill.

On the other side of the hill, down the slope under a tree 2 enemies stand together facing each other, you can stealth kill one but the other gets alerted then more come in from several sides.

That one's impossible to stealth.

When there are 2 guys together it's impossible.

And I've never gotten more than the first stealth kill in a hideout.

The second that guy is down everybody knows where you are, even if you pick the farthest guy out and want to work your way in.

Last night I had a doozy was at my camp about to log off so was just chilling for a while, then two low level players came riding over and started to check out my camp didn't really bother me till they started to try and lasso me which made me LOL I was cleaning my guns, cooking some stew as they were following me around desperately trying to lasso me 😂

That's one of those sharp dividing line issues, and by that I mean once you've done it, you can't ever claim to not grief.

I was sorely tempted once when someone who had needlessly harassed me had started a trader sale, but no, once you've crossed that line, you can't come back.

And like many things, once you start I imagine it gets easier to justify to yourself the more you do it.

It's like being a UN peacekeeper. They have to shoot first.

It's not about feeling morally superior, that's phony, but about not betraying your own inner convictions, at least that's my view, everyone has different points of view, but I have to live with my own actions, so I choose not to be like that.

Happy lasso, the #1 item in the noob starter pack.

The other day I was around my camp, hunting, in defensive as most of the time, when this level 6 guy comes trying to lasso me, trying to lasso Cripps, trying to get on my hunting wagon, trying to lasso my dog, trying to loot the mail box...... Funny and pathetic. I shot some ravens, he comes after me with the lasso again. I sniped a pronghorn, he comes after too. Then I just slowclapped at him. He left immediately so probably got the message......

Funny you should mention it, I had the exact same thing happen. On my way to camp some rank 16 made a U-turn and started following me. I had my flag raised and just went in there to unload pelts/carcasses and cook, all the while this idiot is trying to lasso me, Cripps, tried shooting at everything around him. I just left him there in my camp..

That place I almost succeeded with the stealth. But can I put one bullet trough two heads? Manged to take out the rest with knife and bow.

Talking about knifes and stealth why is it so hard to get the prompt?

Kill him last. There is always one guy near the one at the one at Hanging Dog Ranch as well, leave him to last and no-one ever sees. If there is no-one alive to see you it still counts as Stealth.

Take out the patrollers first, I always find that the cone of vision is a lie. Their vision extends well beyond what is shown on screen but if you follow the lines and make sure no-one is in those lines you will get a clean kill.

Well, I had a posse of 3 guys decide to grief me while I was doing a delivery mission to my camp - after I finished the mission, I managed to shoot the leader of the 3 - and he then decided to try to troll me out of my own camp while his 2 buddies waited just outside of the minimap compass range to try to shoot me.

This guy doesn't realise he's dealing with someone who has in the past dedicated 20 hours straight sitting in one spot in another game with the point of raising a serious issue with the server admins.  He'll get bored long before I will...

I don't kill any of them, usually...

R* needs to increase the Bounty penalties for players tenfold, like what they are in Single Player. Murdering an NPC should be at least a twenty dollar Bounty and fifty for the murder of Passive players. As it is now, what's the point of having a Bounty system at all if it's only a minor inconvenient and nothing comes of it?

You would see an immediate and drastic decline in "antisocial" behaviour if being a f*cking knob actually had penalties. I am SICK to the f*cking back teeth of entering towns and finding the entire place dead in the streets while some cackling c*nt crouches on a rooftop mouth breathing into the mic.

A hundred dollar Bounty should make you "WANTED - Dead or Alive" and make the town hostile for you to enter meaning you get an immediate Wanted status. Players can then hunt you town for a guaranteed fifty dollar payout, Players can only Bounty Hunt other players once every hour so people cannot organise and spam it.

I'm still getting disconnected errors on virtually every log in attempt. Not sure what they changed server side a few weeks ago, but for this crappy DSL user it is killing me.

Also if I see the revolver cylinder spinning counter clockwise I know bad news is coming!

That minor inconvenience is waiting a little more to know what time is it when pressing down on the d-pad. It shows your current bounty at first, then the time, and sometimes it annoys me. Other than that, there's no point in having a bounty, not until it reaches 20 dollars? and bounty hunters start to go after you.

So yes, bad behaviour should have bigger consequences.

This is very true. Its more infuriating not knowing the time than the Bounty ever was.

Are you in defensive mode? Lately I find a lot of the moron patrol seems to take defensive mode for a PvP challenge. I dynamite arrow them straight away.

I never get attacked no matter what I do. Defensive mode, offensive mode, looting bodies that I didn't kill, taking a trader or moonshine delivery... never. Sometimes I wonder if I am invisible....

Nah, I’m always in offensive though I mostly stick to myself, as with GTA I tend to leave people be but I like the PvP aspect too sometimes.

You’re probably right though, I wouldn’t be surprised if being defensive incites ”the moron patrol” to attack.. a lot of them seems to realize I’m offensive and then back off. Idk, just seemed like an influx of morons for some reason..

Gah! The stealth in this game SUCKS!

Kill a guy stealthily behind a building, out of view of EVERYBODY, with a knife, and EVERYONE is alerted to it somehow.

I swear, I may as well just go in like

You know, it's been quite a while since I've been plagued by the hackers.  Lately, it's just been lightning and fog endlessly.

Three days, 33 moonshine deliveries, my wagon has been shot to hell by revenuers.  I just can't seem to get waved through anymore.  Tonight, I FINALLY got waved through.  Can you guess?

Got within sight of the barn for the delivery and someone explodes me with a hack.  It doesn't even make me angry anymore, I just feel disappointed and numb.

So, to update.  Saw a guy teleporting instantly all over the map, from Emerald to Valentine and back, so I reported him.  While I was doing so, he exploded me.  When I respawned, he teleported to me and shot me in the head.  So, I parleyed, and reported him again.  While I did so, he exploded me again.  When I respawned, he exploded me again.  Then again.  Then again.  Then again.  Then again.  So, I reported him again while he exploded me again.  Once my report went in, the game suddenly crashed.  Now, I don't KNOW he caused my game to crash, but the timing was suspicious.  Either way, hacking and griefing.

Of course, I didn't get to see his name when he was exploding me, but when he shot me, it said it was CMXZZZ (Xiao) or something like that.  Now, excuse me while I go hold my breath while they ban him.

Amen to that. Those lowbob sh.ts are really annoying ( I cant even stand watching ppl galloping thru Town, wheres the Code of Roleplaying in that ) and then some lowbob  rank 5 c.cks.cker shots you in the face while you are checking satchel what to do next...i bet they boast next day in their School class how badass they were yesterday.....

If your are a Trader, you can get 5 stealth kills fairly easy on Trade Route Mission.

I couldn't play online for more than 2-3 minutes at a clip without getting disconnected. I know this because I got so frustrated, I started timing it.
I'm uninstalling it after I finish my second play-through. VR GTA 6 is clearly where they've set their sights, for better or worse.

Won't be playing this again maybe 1 day a week when it doesnt dsiconnect me in less than an hour, everyone I know don't touch it now I'm the black sheep. Need a stable final update that is overdue then they can scrap the support for it to make it function like how it was near Christmas. Till then it seems it's a dead project I guess they're done with this playerbase time to move on.
