Oh yeah, I tried the trick of joining a freeroam event then backing out to try to get the appearance change to work last night, all I got was 10 minutes of loading screen pictures.

I started a legendary bounty and loaded the appearance change from there. Worked first time. Thanks to

@Tha-Jamz

for posting that method. 

 

I even hunted for a while first, dismissed the hunting wagon, did the appearance change and when I got back to free roam the carcasses where still in my wagon!

The moonshiner role has been boring I have to say. I’ve got up to level 17 but it’s been a drag. 
 

Camp spawning issue still isn’t fixed.

Had to hard close twice today [PS4]--first time, Moonshine shack would not spawn.  Went to select on menu, wanted to charge me $185.00 to spawn it.  No thanks.  Hard close+restart.  Restart, it worked, but instead I went to camp, ran a trader sell mission, cart falls off the tiny ass cliff road.  I can't get back into cart.  Jump off cliff to kill myself, then spawn in Valentine where there is a strange yellow icon of "retrieve supplies" apparently underneath the jail; all doors are locked, there is no "under the jail".  Wander around for 10 minutes and then decide to call my horse and say f*ck it.  Horse will not allow me to mount or interact with it though the menu options are there but somehow I can pat her, but I pat her up above the face instead of the neck.  Hard restart again and it started working normally.  Don't yet know if I have the supplies from trader that I tried to deliver as I haven't been back to camp.

At least when your camp goods sale black screens you only lose your time, not product.

R* wasted 10 minutes more of my time trying to reload the game because of it.

So what an earth have they done? This morning I could see a few animals after their tunables push for the events. This afternoon, they have disappeared again. But you know what has also disappeared? Birds. Birds were actually spawning quite nicely, the only thing that did.

Did they change the frequency of birds to try an get more land animals to spawn? The other day I could fill Cripps with geese that were flying over camp, today no.

 

I just went to New Austin to get some birds for Cripps and I saw 1 condor, nothing else, no ravens no nothing. But hey, a defend camp spawned which I did and at the end got a black screen followed by blue screen crash. Wahey, lost that 1 condor that spawned, lol.

Last night there were plenty of animals and birds on PC, with 18-23 players in session. (my camp was just north of Bluewater, which is a great spot: if you need 3 predators/skins for a daily, it's got quick access to gators)

 

Some days there are plenty, some days they're scarce, I don't see any pattern.

Quite baffling!

Got disconnected seconds after collecting an item. Loaded back in and that item wasn’t added to my collection so I go back to get it, only this time the metal detector isn’t detecting a thing.

Found a map on a tree in Cumberland Forrest.  I take said map off of the tree but it didn't go into my inventory and didn't show on the side of the screen like it does when you loot one.  WTF

I cant figure out how those mystery unlock vouchers from the outlaw pass work ? whats up with that ? anyone knows ?

I believe it will do that if you already have that particular map in your satchel already. If you don't have any maps on your character then idk.

 

It sucks how R* has it setup that way. I redeemed a free O'Creagh's Run map from my benefits page thinking it would go to my lockbox at camp, but it apparently goes into your player satchel and I already that one on him. So, bye bye free map.

If its like last Outlaw Pass, we will get them when the next pass comes out. For the first one it was a vest and a coat, we only unlocked them when this second outlaw pass came out.

I wasn't there for the first outlaw pass so i still don't get it...

You mean i cant do anything with them unless i buy the next outlaw pass ?

 

Also the 50% discount vouchers on coats unlocked before rank 15 kinda sucks, got 5 of em but there is noting i like to buy with those.

I would have thought that was the case too, but I had recently located all maps in my satchel so I had none.  I have 18 in the post office, but that shouldn't matter

A lot of it is/will be wasted filler.

More outfits, horses, stable slots, guns, etc. offer little or no interest to me personally, I'm pretty much using what I prefer right now.

 

The Outlaw Passes are a much better deal for new players, very likely by design, but it's still well worthwhile for advanced rank players.

The bonus collectibles alone propel you through the ranks and give you a ton of money pretty quickly, and all for just playing the game as you normally would.

I really hope they give us more and better colored saddle swatches and stirrups, i don't like the hooded stirrups and same goes for the color on it.

I want more brown and dark brown swatches on the saddles, are they colorblind at R* or something ?! all those vibrant colors ? its ruining my immersion.

I really find it hard to justify spending hard earned gold on cosmetics, it's really the only grindy part of the game once you get your collecting groove on.

I'm constantly 1 or 2 pieces away from completing every collection except eggs, I cashed in 5 last night just by chance because I did the 'use 3 collector's maps' daily.

But gold is the reason I go hard at these dailies, just got over 200, so I don't want to spend it on clothes or changing cosmetics.

If a property comes up, then sure, that's what I consider it's for.

Yes found maps should go into the satchel so what you have in the post office/lockbox shouldn't come into play. Just chalk it up to another bug I guess.

Anyone else bothered by the fact that the game doesn't let us eat certain herbs because they're poisonous to humans, but Oleander Sage (that the game allows you to eat) makes you instantly vomit?

 

Yes, R*. We know you want to showcase that realistic, gut-wrenching animation, but please: consistency!

 

Another one I noticed: You can stand and watch an Alligator in the water at a distance for ages, and he won't budge. He'll sit there happily with his eyes and part of his head above the water. But(!) pull out your Rolling Block/Carcano rifle with a scope, and hone in on him--and suddenly he disappears back underwater, making it pretty hard to even guess where he is for an underwater shot.

 

That kind of coding shiz is intentional. Really, R*? Really?

this is one of my gripes with alligators. in the deeper water, they are a useless waste of an animal spawn. there should be a way to lure them out onto land so they can be killed, and it makes sense with the inclusion of predator bait, but you can't lure them, only kill them with dynamite.

actually, it doesn't have to be predator bait, a dead or tied up alive npc or animal should draw them out also.

^^ Yeah, they don't move much, which makes them sitting targets and less scary than wolves.

 

I'm not complaining about the easy money from them, but I do think they deserve to be more lethal and unpredictable like the other predators in-game.

 

These are not "little" details that R* should be dismissing--it would have a significant and (IMO) positive impact on game play.

True--and IMO, using dynamite on any animal should render it as useless and unsellable (again, consistency with other hunting conventions), unless the blast was far enough away.

 

The near impossible hit box(es) for those water snakes is also intolerable and needs serious tweaking.

 

And where are the Murfee Brood in Lagras? Shouldn't they be lurking there at night when you ride through? I was almost terrified at night in Story Mode to ride through Lagras... not that way in Online.

I tried that in singleplayer when I first got the game. Even added some predator bait.

Disappointing.

Lost more than half my moonshine payment from losing 1 f*cking bottle. Went on the road with a $247 load, delivered 19/20 bottles and got paid $108. Losing 1 bottle of shine cost me $139. F*ck this role! And f*ck Rockstar too!

You know what does grind my gears? That they removed the ability to add different sections of facial hair independently of others. If I want to add every single facial hair option to my character at once I should be able to. But this is R* so it's easier for their backwards Online system to remember the number of one piece of facial hair than remember three and the different lengths.

Or its so they can dripfeed us hair and facial hair and call it content.

It's an absolute unplayable piece of sh*t today. Huge influx of low level scrub again too. Out of 23 players in the lobby, only 2 ranked higher than 200. of the 21 remaining, 3 ranked higher than 100 and the rest was in between 4 and 47. Yet again, most don't have any other clue than to get into fights with others. 

Playability of this game is a hit and miss, even during sessions. What a terrible mess and sh*t show of a game today!

 

Both Cripps and his crispy whore give broken roles to play. The only reasonable worry free one is Collector.
