IMO R* should be far more pragmatic and reduce the player count while they work on a fix, but that's never going to happen.

I am really trying to enjoy playing this game, but every day brings new frustrations. Today bounty targets brought in daily wasn't counting them for me. Tried to start posse race, nothing happened. About 10 mins later got the message that posse race starts and then posse race over.

When I joined my friends posse, she was able to start the posse versus ones. But then when I left the posse my camp wouldn't pitch.

Oh yeah, my moonshine batch vanished again also.

My friend got message that she doesn't own a moonshine shack when she tried to fast travel there.

 

Grand total of large animal carcasses donated to Cripps: 3/6. That's all I saw whole day.

 

Sigh.

Although I am surely behind the curve on noticing this, I have noticed that no matter what gun I am using, the first 3 shots hit BUT the 4th shot and pretty much all later shots unless I change guns, I cannot hit anything.  Has this always been a problem?  Its really bad with the varmint and small birds are escaping.

Currently in a lobby with only one other person so there is actually wildlife everywhere. Thought I'd take advantage and get plenty of animals to donate to Cripps but the game won't let me pitch my camp, every location option is grayed out. 

 

f*ck this broken ass game.

 

Edit: LOL thought I'd do some bootlegger missions since I can't get my camp to load but nope, black screen.

Yesterday was the greates bugfest Ive ever seen. We played around 3-4 hours (or should I say we tried to) and discovered  the following bugs:

 

-Camp did not spawn

-Camp spawned, I lost my hunted animals

-after that all animals are gone for hours

-eagle eye+, which makes you using it riding fast isnt working anymore

-moonshine bootlegger mission started, ended immediatly without no reason

-OK lets try it again then --> NO, cooldown

-moonshine production started --> reset at 19/20 bootles

-Then I couldnt rejoin my friends posse, game said in red letters "joining not possible"

-My friend couldnt end his posse, was greyed out

-Restarted the game, it loaded up for 7 minutes!

-finally I got an disconnection error

 

it was so ridicolous, we couldnt even play for 15 minutes without encountering another bugs, and all were different.

I don't think anyone is sure, including R*. While lobby size seems to be the main factor right now, it doesn't mean that's the main issue. 

I had no issue with animal spawns until maybe the beginning of November. Like you said, lobby size was never an issue before, so why now?

The difference in smaller sessions is night and day, but I'm reasonably sure there are other determining factors, since I see animals spawn fairly well at times in 20-24 player sessions, then sometimes you won't see a critter for miles and miles of riding.

I've experienced myself several times. Not often, but it does happen.

I doubt it, I'd assume in any given lobby size, someone is always doing something.

The other day I went back to SP to do the new PC content they finally gave us on console. It's like playing a completely different game compared to online. Wish there was more new SP content coming out regularly but I might just wait and see what the PC mod scene comes up with. Then just play SP with mods on PC.  

 

So many issues with online right now it's just hard to find motivation to play. It's just not worth the hassle.It's more fun to just tool around in singleplayer, at least the game has some life there.

The networking as a whole is sh*t and has been for a while.

 

It's player count, anyone who has played in a lobby of under 16 players for any length of time can tell of the night and day difference in comparison to lobbies with over 16 players.

 

R* as much as admitted it's the player count in the patch notes for Moonshiners.

Except I’ve been in lobbies up to 23 players on PC with tons of animals around...

One thing that's always bothered me about this is trader deliveries. I can make a delivery in a session of 20+ players and animals seem to spawn fine. 

I wonder what the difference is?

Because other activities are locked to the player while making a delivery, so that frees up space/memory for other things (animals) to be there instead? *

 

 

 

* I know nothing about how games actually work lol (obviously).

It goes against the prevalent flow of information regarding animal spawns, or the lack there of. But again, I'm really glad that you are seeing animals in lobbies of up to specifically 23 players on PC.

 

Even R* admit that "large" sessions are an issue where wildlife spawns are concerned.

Lol, chill dude, you can drop the whole ‘I’m glad YOU are seeing animals’ and Rockstar’s quote things.

 

I just wanted to point out that player count is not the direct cause of the issue (something other users have agreed with on this very page). I wasn’t trying to void the existence of this bug or what you’ve experienced, but to confirm it’s possible to see animals in lobbies full of players. Just read the last few posts, I’m not the only one to have witnessed animal in filled lobbies.

 

It seems less frequent on PC for whatever reasons.

Yeah its all very simple, before certain updates animal spawns were fine in full lobby's, R* just f*cked something up, again...

^^ And how. When I start thinking about it, there are still a lot of day one, unfixed bugs, such as the butcher's voices still getting borked (Tumbleweed butcher inheriting Valentine's voice, etc.) I mean, seriously--how hard is it to match the correct audio with the correct butcher? FFS.

 

Thankfully, one bug I haven't seen a repeat of is animal carcasses and pelts suddenly rotated 90 degrees around the torso of your horse.

I'm getting tired of visibility being crap, and having to eat a can of baked beans every three minutes because my health is almost at zero again.

 

And yes, my character is already wearing a coat.

I'm gonna answer very carefully.. 

I don't know because I don't work at R*. 

I thought it said somewhere it was for new years eve and day only. Earlier today, it rained and snowed at the same time in Tall Trees and it was 30+ degrees in Cholla Springs! I swear sometimes it's melting away but then it starts snowing again.

Why in blue hell does Rockstar have the Breton under “multi” when it’s a draft horse and should be placed in the “Draft” section of horses. Seems they still didn’t learn much from cars being in the wrong categories on GTA Online -_-
