This all happened after I did a sale, then went collecting and finishing some dailies then came back to the camp area.

No they need to switch to dedicated servers, or give us private lobby's.

They did talk in a big interview about how they love the big role playing community on RDO, if there is one thing the role playing community wants its private lobby's !!!

private lobbies were great, but I absolutely dont get the reason, why rockstar is not reacting to the non-animal spawn.

Its like they dont want us to play the game anymore. just set the player cap to 16-20 in a lobby. you wouldnt even feel it, that there are less players.

 

Further I cant play the moonshiner, because I loose the whole production every 2nd time, because of the reset bug, support told me to clear the cache, which I even did before wrting the ticket. what a joke!

 

Then the first moonshiner story mission is completely missing for me, support ticket is not answered since a week.

The there are the loading black screens (Ok there is a workaround, but thats not the solution)

 

the actual version is so f*cked up, I cant describe.

That's what worries me about this animal spawn problem. If they felt like they could fix this in the near future, they probably would've adjusted the lobbies to help us out in the meantime. With them refusing to alter the max size, that kind of makes me feel like they have no clue how to fix it. Or they just don't give a crap.

 

On another note, anyone remember how they nerfed cougar spawns and fish prices because people were making "too much" money? And now people can make 4k in one day doing the collector's role. My how times have changed.

I don't know what's worse: a camp and no animals or animals but no camp.

When my camp was disappearing there were 18 players in session and a decent amount of animals to hunt.

I had to go to the butcher just to get rid of them.

Don't get me wrong, please, I am not a person who'd defend Rockstar in the first place, but in this case, the cougar glitch, it was an exploit they had to fix. That's different from the lacking animal spawns due to network capacity issues.

 

anything else, totally agreed. Rockstar f*cks up and f*cks up good. And besides that, they don't show many signs they actually give a crap. 
the game is catered to new players, because that's where the money comes from. Us day 1 players, who most likely never spent a dime on gold bars, complaining about all the issues in this game, are not the ones they have in mind to please. Our cash is already a few layers down the pile and what you can't see, isn't there. 
there 's an influx of new players (or at least, low rank characters), probably because Xmas pressies and all. They probably never seen anything else but low animal rates, so to them it's not an issue. Problem solved itself for Rockstar.

Tier 1 support is a joke, they dont even read what you actually write.

I saved all my ticket conversations and will post em on all big social media to show how Rockstar handles customers.

 

Player cap ? no ! thats just a band aid, they need to fix it, it was fine before the moonshiner update.

No cheap ass solutions, they make more then enough money to invest.

 

They wanted me to format and reinstall my whole PS4, rebuild it from the ground up.

Tier 1 support are all idiots...

No I agree, the cougar spawns had to be fixed to make them a bit more random(BTW I wasn't talking about glitches. They nerfed how often cougars spawned in a certain area). I was just pointing out how badly we had to nickel and dime early on to make money and now they added the collector role that makes it way too easy. And to add insult to injury, the other roles are working so badly lately, everyone is being pushed to the collector role which results in people making more and more money. I'm actually tired of making money. I want to actually have fun and it's just too hard to do that lately.

Making money has changed a lot since day 1. Then again, the things you can do with it hasn't. Upgrade cards, buy clothing and all, but for progression, you need gold bars. 

It doesn't make a difference if you have $10K or $100K of excessive money, though.

Actually, yes. They need to do something short term to deal with the brewing storm. Lobby caps are a good start. We are not getting private lobbies so something has got to give to get this game back on track.

 

Right now, all the game mag writers are still breathing heavily on the taint of TakeTwo investors. Once some of these sorry sacks of sh*t have the balls to report on how f*cked up RDO is right now, you'll see some long-term action. Maybe.

Adjusting fish prices had nothing to do with people making too much money. They were way to high and the adjustment was fair. The issue is that they did it after the fact instead of thinking it through beforehand.

I agree that it needs to be fixed "right", but the game took a sh*t at least a month before the Moonshiner update. That's why it was addressed in the patch (lol) notes.

Dunno what they adressed but 2 minutes ago the snow went away in my session, but Nazar was gone from map and not in the legenda, my outfits gone from horse..., so i restarted my game, log in and im in a session with the snow again.

 

All they do is patch in new clusterf*cks.

 

Changed session again, no Nazar wtf ?

When I load into a session, its still snowing but eventually it tapers off and stops.

I suddenly have a cattleman revolver in my inventory despite having them in my weapon locker. At the start of every session/mission/moonshine delivery/trade sell, I get stuck with it next to my LeMat (I normally dual-wield two LeMats).

I have suggested to R* that we can turn in/sell/dismiss any guns we have before and after every update! Maybe I should post it as a bug or that it hinders my progression!

 That is a lie! Ambient wildlife that sound that the just turned up the frequency of the sound that we hear from frogs birds and what not!

Thanks, Rockstar, for spawning my camp right next to Nazar's today, 3 times in a row. Not only have I got to deal with the insanely annoying record she's playing, but also with a bunch of retards who went down the griefing path. First load in, I shut down the game to reload again, since session hopping no worky. Second load in, right back at the same spot as well as the third time. Only the third time, a bunch of retards came along with it.

It's still Rockstar we're talking about. They haven't stated to whom. They might as well have applied filters on their support flagging queries as 'No animal spawns", "were is the wildlife" and such as spam and not be send to any tier of support. :D :D

It's sad I went from playing this game every day to now I hop on for about 30 minutes every other day just to check if animals are spawning again yet. This is a huge part of RDO they have to fix it. I may only have a few hours of gaming time each day and I cannot waste it roaming around an empty map with no progress being made.

Yesterday i got eaten by a invisible gator along the train tracks at Saint Denis, there were no animal spawns but you could hear the gators.

The invisible gator that did eat me was close, very close, i must have stepped on it.

 

But it was ambient sound, some one on this forum keeps telling...

I feel ya man. Same thing for me yesterday. And this is after putting up with two failed moonshine manufacture requests, a blue screen while delivering a FULL wagon and trying to get camp to spawn after an hour.

 

I think rage-quitting can be fully justified. It seems like us RDO-GTA fans can put up with a lot of sh*t and overlook a few things but man, this is just beyond the pale.

At this rate they wont have to set a cap because I am sure they are losing more and more of their player base by the day by not fixing these issues. I mean I really enjoy Red Dead but have stopped playing, the last time I got on was Christmas eve and it was just a hot mess and a reminder as to why I been playing Sims on PC.

Shyster should have capped players at 16 from day one, but that would require someone with an ego problem to admit their agenda has, and continues to, fail miserably.

 

It's ridiculously easy to make virtually all NPCs disappear from the game--just shoot a bunch of cops in St. Denis or Blackwater, and find a nice safe camping spot somewhere. The cops will wander around spouting their usual drivel, taking half an hour to an hour(!) before finally giving up. Meanwhile, the only NPCs other players will see are the "bare bones" butcher, gunsmith, etc.

Are we sure the animals/npc’s spawn problems are due to player count or is the problems more due to the lobbies merging to keep players from playing solo?  I don’t remember these issues when the game launched,  there were full lobbies with plenty of animals/npc interaction.

The networking as a whole is sh*t and has been for a while.

 

It's player count, anyone who has played in a lobby of under 16 players for any length of time can tell of the night and day difference in comparison to lobbies with over 16 players.

 

R* as much as admitted it's the player count in the patch notes for Moonshiners.

^^ I have this bad feeling that R*'s failure to reduce the session player count is going to be like Battestate Games and their failure to fix the never-ending desync issue in Escape from Tarkov... which has been going on for years.

 

Pretty simple why they haven't done so: R* benefits. Players have access to less of the game, and can't make as much money or gold.
