Not an hour, no. The game completely breaks down after really long sessions though and has done since launch in both SP and RDO. The menus start to lag a sh*t ton and pictures and stuff in the UI take ages to load or stop loading altogether. I remember reporting it back at launch and assuming it got fixed only to run into it again when the Roles update dropped lol.

I have found that the best way to play is late at night/early morning. Between 1:00 am and 3:00 am CST when the servers are nearly empty. The last two late nighters I pulled had up to 8 players per server (sometimes as low as 4). Last night was the same.  I was like a kid in a candy shop last night. Animals everywhere, events firing up, hideouts -- it was crazy in a good way.

 

Just finished a session with a friend and it was nightmarish. Two moonshine deliveries f*cked, a blue screen at the end of a long delivery and zero animals. Zero. Jumping on again after midnight.

Since the last update I can never jump to a new session from the pause - online menu. It’s just infinite loading screens. If I want a new session I need to close the game completely and restart it. Grrrrr!!

To all of those who are having the f*cking disconecting error constantly,  try the VPN fix.    download proton vpn (its free) , set it up. connect to a us server and play.  

i was having this f*cking error every 2 minutes. after trying this  i was able to play all day and not even ONCE i was disconected.  Hope it helps.

Exit to main menu and rejoin doesn't work? You really have to close the entire game?

This is true.... Mostly.

I once got it to load from the pause menu but I was about to give up because it took so long.

Several other attempts at choosing either a straight lobby swap "online", or region specific options resulted in an endless load.

It is quicker to dashboard and start over.

 

I was also having problems with changing the account. To play on another profile I had to restart the console because it would give errors every time I loaded in.

This happened changing from account 1 to 2 and the same back again. After a full restart (dashboarding is not good enough), it would work again.

An hour might be a rough guess but the same thing happens to me as well where pictures won't load. Stuff just won't load in general. Its like some background buffer/cache gets clogged up. If I exit Online and try to reload I get an infinite load screen and I have to reset the entire game.

I forgot to flavour the shine so ended up with him as the only option.

Started the sale and purposefully crashed the wagon after I lost a few bottles, because f*ck you Bert.

Seems bad timing on my side. Back from holiday. Reinstalled game after many weeks but Snow no longer online & didnt even get a chance to witness it. Sure bought the new outlaw pass tho

I deleted my game from my ps4, then i did flush the cache, reinstalled my digital ultimate version.

When i start up my game i wait a couple of minutes and wait until the music starts playing and let it play a minute, then i go in online thru the spawn at camp option. (i think you are right about the background loading/buffering)

Everything goes smooth now.

I reinstalled my game because i believe that stacking all the former updates breaks the game.

I didnt get the disconnects before and still dont but the sluggish loading is over now.

 

But my brother got disconnects every 10-15 minutes, even after reinstalling the game like i did.

Rockstar support said that he had to use the Google DNS servers, but i know for a fact that hes got a crappy cheap modem router from his ISP and bought him a good router for X-mass, i asked his ISP to set his modem router in bridge mode, hooked up the router i bought him and BAM ! problem solved !

 

Oh and we both use fast wired ethernet LAN cable cat 6. wireless sucks...

You are welcome, im retired and will log on every day to do 1 daily, even on new years eve.

It took me 5 hours to download and reinstall etc, Playstation network sucks, its so freakin slow and even slower with the copy files crap.

Yea, I try to log on each day even if its for ten minutes. Better when its stuff like "Pet a Dog"

I installed from disk originally and it took ages. Now we have about twenty gigs of updates on top of that. I am Xbox One which downloads and installs the game and updates at the same time which clogs everything up.

Oh i didnt know that Xbox does it like that, i am on PS4 Pro but have only 3 games installed on it so mucho free disk space, that helps too

I was desperate and really wanted a fresh install, imho stacking all the bugged patches cant be good anyways.

I watched a stream yesterday with 7 players in session because they were trying to get the Poison Poppy shine mission to pop, and the animals were tripping over each other all over the map.

Like a completely different game in that respect.

it's a server issue if there's 23 to 25 players in the lobby, it'll be nearly animal free, if there's 23 or less there will be more animal spawns.

I totally agree. If they've read any feedback given to them on social media, they'd know what the solution to the spawn problems is. A few days ago I got dumped in a lobby of 30 players and noticed even a reduced spawn of NPC's in the open world. I rode from Brandywine Drop to Blackwater, without encountering even 1 NPC rider along the road. Towns had NPC's, but none outside towns. 

I really don't know why they won't lower the numbers in lobbies. It's not like you run into any of the other players all the time anyway. They might as well give us private lobbies, when that issue is concerned.
