How about, and get this, you don't spawn me a f*cking mile away (no exaggeration) from the Hogtied Bounty and then when I respawn tell me that the Bounty escaped and fail my three star Bounty mission.

I've had better luck with relative animal abundance since the snow addition.

And once even in a 30 player session, the most I've ever seen yet, it's usually between 21-24.

 

....however.....those stupid hunting missions for Cripps....UGH!

1/3 of the way through the mission timer, a turkey drops (literally) into view, I shoot it and head toward the rather distant isolated trader to swap for supplies.

Naturally the next 2 NPCs on the road turn to head me off and ram my horse, I manage to kill one but the other is Mr. Shotgun, now I get spawned back about half a mile with everything I had on my horse except for pelts gone and about 5 minutes left to find another turkey (which I can't of course), go to the trader, and take a wagon back to camp (for which there is nowhere near enough time now).

This is why I just pay up for supplies. The loss of profit is worth every bit of frustration missed.

I agree with you on the hunting mission but the train one? There's nothing to fail to spawn, just go to the train and grab the supplies, I love that one and would gladly do it compared to that sh*t hunting mission.

I bought a new horse for 120$. That’s when my troubles began. That horse was appearing very rarely in some missions, but most time it says I don’t have a horse. So I bought also the horse insurance, then deleted the horse and bought a new one. Nothing works. But now also my camp is gone, and there are no animals. The only thing left to do is play elimination series.

Instantly find a new session when that comes up. I learned my lesson when I was sent to Great Plains to hunt a Bison and not a single one spawned within a ten mile radius. I rode at a gallop on a drugged up Horse for ten minutes solid in concentric circles looking for one and found nothing.

This, pretty sure I am gonna be doing the same once I max out Moonshiner. The missions pay nothing and once I cant gain MS XP from they are useless, in the time it takes to do two MS missions I could have done two $$$ Bounties, made more money than I lost and gained half a Gold Bar.

I actually find as time goes on I buy supplies less and less, don't care if it's more cost effective to do things other ways as I'm just here to enjoy myself and I do enjoy the variety of things to do, those little missions included (asterisk on that as the hunting resupply mission already sucks regardless but with the current state of the game it really should be disabled). Same thing with bootlegger missions, still get a kick out of those especially considering the revenue agents put up a way better fight then most of the NPCs in the game.

But as for your won't start problem, have you tried the "Join recent player session" workaround?

lul either Online's glitchery f*cked up my SP save or the infinite loading glitch has affected Online -> Story now. Which is how I always quit the game.

 

Past four days in a row I've quit the usual way..... but the game just keeps loading and loading. Never dumping me back to John's ranch like it's supposed to.

I find the snow on the ground a little annoying when it comes to track bounties, hunt or find ingredients.

I've had better luck with the train twice now, it was parked at Flatneck quite close to my camp, so everything went as slick as sh*t.

If it's moving and already distant from my camp, it's not worth the bother, it takes too long to get there, kill the enemies, and ride all the way back to he camp which is now almost half the map away.

Time to call up my hunting wagon and gather some deer.

I hate to start a mission and not do it, just a bit of OCD I guess.

I saw one do the horse ducking maneuver today where he leans to the side. I was surprised.

It seems to me a strange thing (and, if you are now hearing the same song in your head: mystifying) that the random horses who pull my carts are better trained than the halfwit I've spent a year with.

If I look away to shoot something it'll barrel into a tree or trip over a fence, where as the randoms just nicely follow the route I've marked.
