Strangest thing. So I start up a moonshine delivery, & get an endless black screen. My wife does not, & ends up making the delivery, but for only $42. Not even half the $244 the shipment was for. & it arrived purrfectly intact. She's a better wagon driver than I am.

Yeah, getting a bunch of "Disconnect due to Network issue" this weekend, despite my internet being just fine. I am able to hop right back in to RDO, but that does not make up for the lost progress on a bounty quest, or the carcasses lost off my horse due to having to rejoin.

Have you ever considered that the reason so many people shoot each other is a mindset like yours, killing any individual who appears within their sights or lingers around for five seconds too long? I understand being concerned, but this is quite.. extreme.

That's why when I see another player coming up the road towards me, I'll veer off the road, like WAY off the road, just to make it clear I'm not that type of player, and I'm just on my way to somewhere else.

Even driving a wagon, I'll try and take measures to avoid any potential collision.

 

If they still persist in heading for you after that, then they're up to something. They should know better than to come close to a goods wagon, though I must say that often a player's name will not pop up unless you're pretty close, I've mistaken more than a few players for NPCs, I try to be a lot more cautious now.

Yeah, that's why I'm here right now instead of completing some more treasure maps and dailies and trying to spawn my camp.

It always seems to hit me when I've got a nice load of pelts and carcasses on my horse and one more collectible to get for a daily.

That's fair enough, but would you agree to the following:

 

If a player is riding hard towards you as you make a trader sale, say, do you:

 

A) Don't shoot. Wave or do nothing

B) Try to veer off the road 

C) Shoot

 

..knowing that options A and B could get you killed and your sale destroyed?

Another massive  to those assh*les joining the Trader Route FRE who start throwing dynamite sticks in the direction of other players to blow them off the train because "it's just for fun". No, it's annoying af and there's plenty of other FREs that you can join specifically to do this. Calling me a c*nt over mic when I call you out about doing this, calling me autistic (which I'm not) and trying (unsuccessfully) to rile me up by calling me of a different nationality like it's an insult isn't helping your cause.

Well, you gotta do what yo gotta do.

I've had success just doing short sells and carrying dual pistols with express ammo as main armament, not to mention that the majority of new PC players are just generally doing their thing.

There have been dickheads here and there, but RDO being what it is, it's much more of a level playing field.

I think that is the best tactic, can't really trust anyone when it comes to sales. Reminds me of a time when me and my friends were doing a delivery on GTAO in a fullish lobby. We went through with an oppressor, tank and hunter and just lit everyone who was in our path up. I mean business is business.

Go to do coin collecting instead.

 

Disconnection.

Coin again.. Disconnection.

Collect all coins. Go to do bootlegging mission, clear out the camp and destroy the equipment.... 'Go find the moonshiners camp' - I f*ckING FOUND IT!!!!!!!

 

 

f*cking rage quit. Back to GTA Online.

Oh that really sucks. It's hit and miss when it comes to disconnects for me. I've had them pretty frequently, up to a point I couldn't care less anymore. Now it seems fine most of the times, though. Missing out on 3 ranks is quite a lot. Time to give Rockstar the stink finger?

I lost a rank... just lvld up and 10 minutes later it was gone... and im talking regular xp rank.

And whats up with the dawm animal spawns ?not a single alligator or animal under saint denis..

 

I was thinking maybe R* does this on purpose so we cant make money fast to buy stuff from the outlaw pass and club stuff, to make people buy gold bars.

Been trying to connect, unsuccessfully, for the past couple of hours (4 - 6:00 PM EST) using Xbox one.  First time I've ever experienced this.  When it happens is it best to let it keep trying or stop and try again?

I think the best thing is to veer off the road and see if the person follows. If they do, then I engage.

 

I know if someone shot me just for being nearby (especially if I was already there and they passed by me and thought I was too close), I'd be seeking revenge (probably would leave their cargo alone but would definitely kill them at least once).

If, by any chance,  you happen to do a sell mission and I'm heading towards you because that's the direction I'm travelling to and you take a shot at me, be assured I'm coming back to ruin your sale. I'll destroy your cargo, blow you up, set your wagon on fire and mutilate your corpse. (strong talk; I'll probably just blow up your wagon + cargo and go about my business again).

If you simply ride passed me and do nothing, you'd have no trouble from me at all. Heck, I might even wave. I don't shoot people for no reason, nor for paranoid reasons. But shoot me for no reason once, prepare to get some back.

This particular person didn't give me a chance to veer off the road. 

They rode straight towards me and instantly shot me.

There's a difference between trying to get past someone on the same road and diagonally crossing a field towards you, which is what this person did.

 

I generally leave people alone too, wave and whistle at them.

If I see someone making a sale or collecting carcasses with their wagon, I give them a wide berth, but if they happen to be going a particular way that I'm going, I'll find another route or give them enough space to get ahead without alarming them.

 

However, from now on, if someone is aiming straight for me and its clear that they're not trying to just get by me, they're going to wish they hadn't, like this one did.

 

All in, its ok though. I killed him and his horse back more than enough times, so I'm up

This has happened to my posse mate and I, twice. He gets stuck in loading screen. I make the delivery by myself. He waits until he hears the little banjo riff and ca-ching sound and gets full credit for it. Weird bug.

Next time if you have a black screen go to your PS menu join on someone and press cercle.

We need private sessions to get away from annoying griefers when we want to just hang with friends uninterrupted  and for better animal spawns. I do not see anything wrong with killing other players if they are too close to you during a sale. I pretty much always stuck to local deliveries anyways in RDO so never had to kill anyone. I did a few long distance sales and I totally would have blown the head off or blown the hat off then the head off of anyone who got too close to me, sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. 

 

Currently taking a break from Red Dead but might hop back on to check out the snow.

Finally got around to getting that hunting wagon I've had my eye on for a while.  Took it out for a spin, loading up on 3 star deer and birds while counting the money Cripps and I were gonna make by the bucket.  In general, it was a grand old time...until I went over a tiny ledge I didn't see until the last minute, destroying my wagon and losing all of my cargo in the process.  I feel like the teenager who totals the car the first day he got his license.

 

F*ck you, foggy, snowy Heartlands.

 

Update:  Well wouldya lookit that?  Apparently you get to keep your carcasses after repairing the wagon and calling it out again.  Things are looking up, back in business, baby!

I did quit playing RDO for a long time and im back sinds a week or 2 now, i was fed up with the griefing and disconnects.

Its a bit better now with the defensive mode but still..., i do get griefed now and then.

So yes private sessions to solve that in the first place, i just wanna play with friends and friendly players and not with griefing baby's.

 

I was a very early beta player, from day 1, pre ordered the ultimate version and like i said in the beginning that i wouldnt mind invest in this game (gold bars) if i can play like i want to without the grief.

But if R* favors grief baby's over loyal and paying fans that could carry this game for a long time so be it.... then they can go F... them selves.
