R* REALLY f*cking needs to learn what Stealth is and the fact that if a guy sees me but I silence him immediately before he can shout with an arrow to the eye everyone does not magically access the HIVE-MIND and know where I am.

You F***ING  Know ??? Religious figure on a f***ing pogo stick, I've had it with trying to poison stills & stealth kill mind-linked mutants. I knifed one NPC, & the LAST guy in the SHACK somehow knew, KNEW the other dude went down. Stealth botched. Just. Like. That. 

 

 I don't expect "Tenchu: Stealth Assassin", or "Metal Gear Solid" levels of stealth gameplay, but COME ON!!!!

Happened to me last night, cleared the whole camp apart from one guy, took aim with my bow and it was like an invisible switch was flicked. He spins round and "sees" me, stealth failed. f*ck off.

 

Also another thing, it seems R* is already up to their old trick of giving NPC's magical reality bending weapons. How about a Sniper Semi-Auto Shotgun? That can hit me behind a rock from a hundred feet away?

Can't complete my dailies because my camp is 24/7 being pitched.

 

If I say fast travel to camp, it appears in a spot it's not meant to be. I cannot interact with it. When I ride away and come back, the icon is there, camp is gone.

 

The snow update basically trashed this game to the point it's not 100% playable. I can't do story missions, bounties, trader or moonshiner content without endless load screens, crashes or glitches.

 

Basically all I can do is ride around and find collectibles.

 

And most of the problems which make this game unplayable all stem from server population being far too high and no private lobbies.

 

It honest to god feels like I'm playing a modded game with a total conversion, not an actual game.

Was selling my camp stuff in a 8 player empty lobby, some lv 51 was waiting on my way but I got him 3x.Always when he respawned he was either right beside me or a bit in front of me...then he spammed only explosives and got my stuff.Every time I respawned I was so far away without horse anywhere..when he killed me the last time he was near Riggs Station I between...Calibabs Seat and Diaiablo Ridge... wtf?!

What's the point of Defensive mode? Why can't they just give you Passive mode? You can get shot while in Defensive and that just makes the mode useless. For instance, I was traveling today, minding my own business, and these two noobs come behind me and start randomly shooting? And you're not able to target onto them because you're in defensive. So they can kill you. I got revenge but still, pisses me off.

 

I wish they'd get rid of defensive and just add a passive mode. You can still kill animals and NPC's, but all players are off limits.

Passive mode as far as R* is concerned means no weapons, sh*t wouldn't work well in RDO with how much any random civilian will blow your brains out unlike GTAO where only specific NPCs even have weapons.

 

It's unfortunate they couldn't figure out or provide a middle ground that would please you as well but personally I love defensive mode (granted I also hate GTAOs passive mode).

Thing is in RDO if you exhale in the wrong direction npcs feel like they got to off you.

Was all alone hunting and suddenly got teleported into a big cluster f*ck of other players in the middle of nowhere and killed by a couple exploiters using god mode. I really had higher hopes for this game on PC than GTAO but that may have been foolish.

 

I can't imagine being a person with such a small mental landscape that you get off on f*cking with random strangers trying to enjoy a game. Sad, bitter, lonely little virgins I suppose. I reported them but for what good? Their names were "Admin" and "IGetReportedAlot" or something.

To expand on this, I can drop from a ten foot cliff next to someone, yell out in pain and no-one bats an eye but if I shoot an arrow and it misses but goes sailing off into the woods then everyone and their grandma knows where I am? f*ck off.

R*'s "stealth" system is old and archaic. They can make the RAGE engine look as amazing as they want but if they are still using PS2 AI then its still sh*t. This exact thing happened in Manhunt.

I've given up on stealth in both RDO and GTAO.

 

There's no fun in having everyone in a camp know exactly where you are once you silently kill a guard standing on his own in the dark.

 

They can add all the bells and whistles they want but R*'s biggest issue (besides their terrible communication) is their archaic mission design and cheap game mechanics. We're still just sociopathic delivery boys murdering our way through pretty but ultimately very shallow worlds full of aimbot enemies and pointless mission timers.

Pretty sure its a sh*tty way of trying to punish Solo players without being hard. Having two guards permanently stood next to each is impossible to do Solo but two people could take them out at the same time.

Its inconsistent from game to update to update as well. One group of enemies will let you walk past them and only react if you bump into them and others can sniper-eyes you from a mile away.

Alright so been a good month or two since I last played and my friend was on so I was like let's play

 

Wasnt expecting game to be groundbreaking but at least no major glitches, jump on and immediately my persistent posse isn't there. Its asking for 200 bucks again to set it up which is unusual. I waited for a few mins and eventually my persistent posse showed up. Odd glitch but I thought whatever

 

Decided to start bounty missions so started making my way there, saw a gang hideout on the way and cleared it. Jumped on my horse and the prick isn't moving. Isn't responding to any of my button presses at all. Ask my friend to try and he can move it. Then when we eventually get to bounty board, cant interact with it at all. Another weird thing is my friend randomly changes outfits or clothes when he switches his guns

 

So we decided we might as well do trader, barely anything spawns and when we finally start the trader, game is stuck in loading screen for me.

 

Why is the game still glitchy damnit

I send a dynamite arrow right into the still as soon as I can spot it from a good enough distance and then leg it, when I get the 'leave area' notification, which often is immediate. The Aurora Basin one is very easy to do. Ride up hill side, aim dynamite arrow at still, turn around and leg it.

Had an awful fight with another posse who only used explosive ammo, incendiary buckshots and dynamite arrows. They were only getting kills by that or ganging up on one of us. We gave up after going through that for over an hour

Anyone else find the game unplayable atm? Crashes and disconnects, no one inside the moonshine shack, no animals to hunt, infinite loading when trying to spawn in camp. For me it is utterly broken.

Why does Marcel bottle the shine in paper thin bottles? What happened to wooden barrels or crates with hay stuffed around the bottles, to keep them from breaking when you happen to ride over a pebble along the road to your delivery point? 

Decent packaging would be the best role update for a moonshiner for sure.

This sh*t is unplayable, oh my god. 1 year later and it's more infuriating than ever. Where are the animals? Why did the change the shooting mechanics? Who designed the stealth missions?

 

After one year in GTAO we got heists but in RDRO we get a battle pass and 2 business that only an oligophrenic would be happy with.

Depends on the delivery you're making. Do Trader deliveries local and you can do both shine deliveries and trading ones in Defensive Mode. You won't lose trader cargo if you disconnect. Not sure if that works for shine too, but if you think you're losing your cargo, close app, relog and move on.

How does Defensive mode help if the person destroys your cargo?

PS Don't talk sh*te about not losing cargo if you disconnect - I've lost sales more than twice now when I've closed app.

 

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll run with shooting anyone who appears on the radar, regardless of what I'm doing or what they're doing.

If you see a blip and continue to stay in the area or worse, head towards me, then all bets are off.

I can't trust anyone on this game.
