This game Ambushed me in how bad R* has become in turning into E.A. I guess there was some warning signs towards the latter half of GTA V Online.. but GTA V was still a great game single player wise. RDR2 single player story comes off as thoughtless filler that does more harm to RDR1's lore than good. Comes off as if R* put little effort into the single player so they could put all their effort into their cash grab online mode. What makes this worse is despite this, Online mode feels empty as hell. If someone took off the R* logo off this game and put an EA logo on it.. this game would have been universally dumped on for the half Arsed mess it is. But because its R* it seems to get overrated just for that reason.

Of course I don't want to wear a coat with Arthur Morgan's outfit. What the f*ck is wrong with me for even imagining that such a thing would possible? I mean sh*t, it's incredibly obvious that there's no way you'd be able to get those rolled up sleeves inside of a coat without it making the game crash into f*cking oblivion.

The 'Yes camp, No camp' game extends to the online options menu. It takes a goddamn age to load in the game in your camp, or not at all. I'm having Windows 95 flashbacks with the current state of Rockstar's updates.

Experiencing the same thing. Save option not available and there are empty slots. Deleted a custom outfit and still no option (R3 will only delete - no option to save).

They should change the name of this game to "Lobby Hop Deluxe", because this is what you're mainly doing to get things done properly, ffs.

 

How is it possible, that after so many goddamn times and updates (GTAO ones included), no one got a bright idea like "hey, we've got so much negative feedback on stability issues, lets test this update on a high populated lobby". How???

WTF?  Got screwed out of a ‘shine delivery last night as the game freezes during load screen.  Then in the last hour I Get a mission to escort a saloon patron from Armadillo to Bonnie’s ranch.  Guy passes out, so I put him on the back of my horse, and halfway there he teleports half a mile away from my horse and is standing still.  Can’t lasso him or KO him to try to pick him up.  Tried to gently knock him down with my horse, and he dies.  Mission fail.  Then in the middle of another “kill revenue agents” mission, I get disconnected.

So, the single player that made RDR2 the most critically acclaimed game ever on metacritic for both PS4/XB1, is "thoughtless filler" and was put little effort into?

Sure

I started to respond to that as well and decided it wasn't worth it.  I'd say that opinion of SP being garbage is definitely in the minority.

It's definitely the minority opinion but it sounds like it's his valid opinion.

 

I played the single player for about an hour and realized I wasn't going to bother. My friends and I purchased it for the online component only.

I'm gonna level up my Outlaw Pass, just in case I forget to complete that before the next one drops, and toss the game off of my PS4 again. Apparently, this company can't get it's act together and their team of nincompoop devs just don't seem to understand the term 'fix'. 

Next update will be the final chance I give this game. If that update bunks as much as this one, it'll be no more RDO for me.

Every time I go to online->freeroam to find a new session I got stuck in a infinite pictures loading screen, without the spinning thing without load %. Have to close the game. To find a new session without closing the game I need to do a network test so I get disconnected and then the game loads normally.

EVERY piece of clothing from those outfits don't appear in the wardrobe even though they're supposed to. The only one that does is the off hand holster

I tried to get on for an hour and gave up.  Even d/c and testing my connection wasn't helping.  I closed out of the game multiple times and it didn't help

With bounties, sometimes they never start, all the orange markers disappear from the map and the mission never start, it gets stuck there.

The only way to make them listen is to stop playing massively. Sadly, that's impossible to achieve, but individual voices don't mean much to them. Empty lobbies does.

Sorry, but having an opinion doesn't make it valid. Sure, it's his opinion, but I'll definitely assert that it is invalid.

And I and many other people don't have any respect for people who didn't beat the RDR2 single player before moving to online. That's just stupid.

But what's insulting most here is one basic truth:

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online is absolute dogsh*t compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 Story (single player), and I'm not being unreasonable to say that anybody who argues otherwise has no idea what they're talking about.

It takes a special kind of willful braindead ignorance to buy Red Dead 2 and NOT play single player. If it weren't for the strength of RDR2 single player, I'd have zero interest in online.


I mean.... I'm just going to stop. This is insane. Can't continue without feeling like I'm being trolled by someone intentionally trying to act stupid and piss everyone here off...... so I'm going to assume I'm dealing with a 12 year old or a sociopath and move on and never acknowledge this stupid idea that online is somehow better than single player in any significant way.

Word.....I woke up early this morning and found myself in a lobby with around 8 to 12 people scattered all over the world and once I seen a family of Elks hop a stream I was like "yup......its time to break out the hunting wagon" so I can fill  the material meter for Cripps to the brim so Cripps could have something to work with. By the time I finished that, just 30 minutes later the lobby was filled up and the animals were gone. I tell ya man when you see animals start to stack up and nobody is hardly in your lobby, then thats when its time to drop everything if you can and make sure Cripps is to the max on materials. 

 

On top of that I maxxed out the upgrades for the mash and I'm able to sell my Moonshine at a higher price. So far the highest I've seen is $247 and some change for a delivery. I did about 3 of those this morning and a trader delivery for $500 and once I was done with all that the animals disappeared again, but I'm good for sometime. These roles are all pretty simple, but R* makes them way harder than they should be with bugs and glitches.

This game is an absolute f*cking mess. I've had to close it off like 7 times in less than an hour due to endless loading screens. 

 

Honestly laughable how much stuff R* f*cked over.
