Why is there not some kind of text chat communication for this game so we can communicate with each other? I can't always use voice chat.

On the few occasions I've missed the in game texts from GTAO I've thought back to the "1v1 at beach" or the salty messages try hards use to send me when they discovered that I wasn't going to be another easy "1-0 lzzz" victim and I remembered why I'm actually glad there's no text chat in RDO.

 

On a more helpful note, there's always PSN/Xbox messages or 3rd party apps like Discord.

And this is precisely why I have leveled up the other two professions and still not Bounty Hunter. I'd rather play in a glitched solo lobby.

 

Getting a solo (either unintentionally by Rockstar or intentionally by myself or friends) and being able to hunt is more fun and important to me than bounty hunting.

Played Trade Route that included an explosive arrow troll. He destroyed two goods, managed to knock everyone near him off the train, then aiming at  those that were trying to get back on the train. 

 

Yeah...

 

It's probably best to stay away from Trade Route for a while.

Lousy game... Just spent another 1500 ingame dollars on stuff I will probably only use today and then never again.

I did finish up a couple more collections for next friday. I just want to get that early XP boost in the next Outlaw Pass.

 

Also, screw the people who attack first then get all angry about it when they get their asses kicked. You shot first, now take your beating!

You mean when you shoot them once and they're injured?

I suspect if someone shot you in the stomach you'd complain too.

Just had a bounty with 6, collect them all put them into the bounty wagon, bounty wagon gets on a tiny bump an ant would not make a fuss about, wagon gets destroyed, all prisoners flee. 

But it’s a 10/10 game people, the best.

Not even looking forward to the next update. Aside from the toxic culture of the game which nurtures freeroam warriors, the whole business empire fever was the reason I left GTA Online.

When tryhards try to grief me and I kill them repeatedly until they parlay. I text them on XBL with

 

LMFAO!!!! 

 

 

Then block communication so they can't reply and go somewhere way off into the distance so they can't find me again.

 

I can only imagine how much they stew and seethe... lil pussies.

If you're already in a glitched solo lobby you should be fine doing any of the bounty board ones (not legendary as those are "missions"), I suspect the reason you get solo lobbies from bounties/stranger missions/supply&sell runs etc is that the game picks a location for your activity and if there is anything else already going on there (another players activity/camp or some kinda stranger encounter thing) it puts you into a solo lobby utilizing the same location it already chose which is now freed up. Whenever I'm in low pop or solo lobbies I always get my bounty showing up in the lobby I'm already in.

 

Granted I could be way off base here but based on all my experiences with this particular "feature", this has coincided very much so with the behavior I've seen. You could always test it out too and if I'm wrong then no biggie you still got the way you been playing up till now, just wanted to share my experience.

Once I'm in a glitched solo lobby, I usually don't have a problem staying there by stringing other activities together (non legendary bounty missions, short deliveries, long deliveries, etc.). If I'm using bounties to make a solo, the problem is sometimes getting the first bounty mission to glitch a solo. I always set up my play sessions to use the lobby hop, whether I plan to use it or not. Even if I play in an unglitched free roam session, lobby hopping is an easier and faster way to switch lobbies to avoid griefers and PvPers, much faster than going thru the menus and starting another free roam session.   

 

Any way, if I start the first bounty mission on a board and it doesn't automatically glitch me a solo, I will usually spend that time hunting (and avoiding idiot players), waiting for the mission to end. Then I will go back to the board for the second mission. Then I will either use the put-your-horse-right-next-to-you-and-ride-like-hell-after-starting-the-bounty method or lobby hop three or four times and then press the bounty button. Those methods usually confuse the game enough so that I get a solo lobby. After I get the first solo lobby, I can usually keep it going.

Right on man, you sound like you're more well versed and experienced in it than I am, just wanted to share since from your post I wasn't sure if you were completely avoiding the bounties or what. Glad to hear it's working out for ya (even if it isn't ideal you gotta go about it that way).

I appreciate your sharing! That's the only some players keep finding ways to "tame" this game, at least a little. Most of the players I talk to are doing similar things to get decent animal spawns and just to set up their camps.

If there's one thing, that I should moan about, it'd be the the infamous 0x20010006 error code when trying to load into a lobby. I've no issues with other Online titles except Red Dead Online and it's driving me mad. Does anybody get this error frequently on the PS4? It's now down to my luck if I can play a few hours without this error interrupting me. I tried forwarding ports, changing routers, rebooting the modem, the game and the PS4, and yet most of the time I cannot even load into a lobby.

That error is very inconsistent in how it works.

I have my internet and my phone through the same company, one is wired and 50/20mbit  the other is wireless(My phone obviously 4G).

On my wired connection with an Open NAT I disconnect constantly, even with the cable plugged directly into my console, but on my sh*tty 4G phone on a moderate NAT the game never disconnects unless Rockstar is having problems with the servers.

Why is it this way? f*ck if I know, I just know that one works and the other doesn't and it makes no sense what-so-ever.

 

And I bet even Rockstar have no clue as to why this is a thing, but maybe if Rockstar got some dedicated servers for Online instead of this P2P crap, the problem would go away.

Even when playing by yourself?

I used to have the frequently whenever I joined a PS4 party my buddy created, but then I noticed it never happened when I created the party. 

Never figured something the console does locally influences the connectivity of my game, but there you have it. It doesn't help the the message for busted servers and the message for "it's your own fault asshole" are pretty much the same.

 

Anyway, no, I don't get the issue very much anymore and with the frequency you get it I fear the issue is at your end, but this is Rockstar's "everybody together, damnit" policy we're up against, so...
