Not sure why, but it's not abnormal for me to spend the first 5-10 minutes of a gaming session simply trying to set up a new camp.

 

Why is there no option to remove Cripps' tongue? I think I'd like him better as a mute. The incessant blathering is vexing.

 

Re: Cripps and camps... as broken as they both are, it'd be nice if R* would disable camp setup fees until they were more stable. At his worst, he moved my camp 5 minutes after I'd just paid to set it up again. I found it, shot and skinned a nearby bison, and "poof" my camp was gone again.

 

Once my map marker issue was fixed (game placed the marker more than an inch in any random direction, never where I wanted it, making it VERY difficult to do collections with the collector's map on github) the metal detector I spent $700 on worked properly twice, and only twice. So much for tracking down that $540 coin collection to recoup my losses. (Mea culpa. User error.)

Freakin' broken camp system. Spawned in a full lobby so of course Cribbs removed my camp. You'd think Rockstar would have foreseen this and been generous in locations. It's not normal that 90% of the location were taken in a game with a player cap. Fallout76, a more broken of a mess game, manage way better player camp than RDR2. It's not normal.

 

It's also completely stupid that the camp is so spread out. I live alone in that camp, things don't need to be meters away from each other. Why is the table so far away from my tent? Why is the horse area even further? No wonder there is no room for more camps when they waste so much space.

The thing that is really annoying me is that all the limited stuff where you get some cool clothing and things were before pc so I will never be able to get them like they ended the outlaw pass just before pc came out I was playing ps4 before but I stopped because it was just boring during beta but started playing again in september but I was waiting for pc to get stuff that I wanted and so now I cant its really irritating. Like I really want the frontiersmen belt because its the only belt that you can wear thats not a gun belt but that was for limited time and outlaw pass personally I dont like anything that is limited but then not adding those items to pc when we cant get them is just stupid.

 

Just as I posted this I nipped online and there is limited clothing from console on there wow

I remember why I never progressed the bounty hunter role. The hogtie and capture physics are absolutely terrible. Bounty breaks free from the hogtie and runs off and my character just shoves the bounty even though I press the button to hogtie. I'm shot at by enemies which makes my horse run off and the bouty breaks free again so I'm forced to run after him. 

 

In another instance, I'm ambushed my enemies at Beaver Hollow and I'm constantly respawned outside of the cave which made me run out the clock before I could even reach the bounty.

 

Looks like this will be the one role I don't reach max level

After you hogtie the bounty, move away from him just a bit then hit the O button (on ps4) to kick, do this repeatedly till it says "knockout", then he won't wake up. Just don't kick one too many times or you'll kill him.

This counts as "killed" though afaik. At least that's how it went when I knocked out a legendary bounty with repeated kicks.

Knocking out the Legendary Bounties in any way counts as killing them. Thus does not apply to normal Bounties.

I was talking about ordinary bounties. You're right, legendary bounties work differently.

Bit of advice as well. If you knock the Bounty out by tackling, mounting them and then beating them unconscious then immediately Hogtie them they won't wake up so they cannot escape.

Are everyone's daily objectives disabled? Any idea wtf? This was literally the last and only reason I was playing the game.

While true, if you wander off a few feet to grab some loot or a collectible, the target will wake up. They won't break free immediately if you've hogtied them, but to make the ride home as peaceful as possible I usually cut them free and retackle and rebeat them. Very satisfactory too.

Sometimes you'll beat super-unconsious and they can't be hogtied again. Which is fine by me.

Ofcourse, if a bounty ruins my naturally sunny disposition I'll use the front end of the shotgun.

Thoses rides home are the quietesr.

Did that today. Wanted to take a Three Star Bounty in awake to make sure I got the full amount but she kept escaping while I was mopping up her cronies. Ended  knocking her down enough to permanently knock her out.

I've found that setting up your camp while on some type of content (mission, stranger mission, bounty etc..) will set it up pretty consistantly.

The issue I get is paying to set my camp up this way when I get a solo lobby from trader/bounty mission.

Within 60 secs of the mission ending my solo session gets merged into a full lobby and my camp despawns... the camp I just paid $5 to set up...  -_-

 

When I ride back to where my camp was... nothing is there, not my camp, not someone else's it's vacant land.

I've been finding setting up camp is far more consistent if you do it from your Items wheel. 

Shouldn't make sense and could be completely coincidental though

Never made any difference for me. I even went as far as riding to a vacant camp plot, turn my back towards it and try to make it spawn, since everything in game spawns behind you. Obviously, unsuccessful. 
If the lobby reached its camp max, you won't spawn it. If you happen to be able to spawn it, someone else with a camp up probably left the lobby, freeing up a spot for you.

I've had no camp or spawn issues since the update.  Thought they'd reduced max lobby size at first as only 15 players but after a free roam event I ended up in a 22 player lobby with flocks of birds and herds of dear at the same time, and my camp showing on the map.

Last night while driving the large wagon I was circling around before going to the drop (daily was to do over 10,000ft in a delivery wagon) and I had to constantly swerve to avoid deer who were cavorting all over the place knowing I couldn't take them back to my camp, the little bastards!

 

Also: earlier, no matter how I tried, I couldn't spawn my camp in the heartlands, but slip over the border into West Elizabeth and POP, there she was, first try!

It may be tied to how many camps are already in a region, because there were a lot already set up in the heartlands.

Roanoke Ridge and Grizzlies are my favourite spots! Just wished they split up Grizzlies to west and east!

• Launch RDR2.
• Starts a Legendary bounty, the wolf man for the first time (PC player).
• Spawn in the middle of the mountain in my desert outfit. So I'm obviously cold and losing heart. Can't change outfit in a mission on a horse for some reason.
• Quit mission (find a new lobby) so I can change outfit.
• Change outfit.
• Walk back to the bounty poster.
• Locked out of legendary bounty for another 30 minutes.

 

#FUN!

 

Oh and I also got an infinite "pending transaction" when changing my camp's theme for the daily, prompting me to ALT+F4 out of there.

Just a quick question. Anyone know how long the special horse reviver has been bugged? It's supposed to revive your horse and give it a gold health core for a day but it has never done that for me since I've started using them.(I've only tried using it on XB1).

 

The mechanics of it are poorly done as well. Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't let you choose whether to use a special or the regular one so it will always use a special reviver if you have one. So in the mean time, it's not working right and I have to burn through the ones I already made after buying a rather expensive pamphlet.

So it finally happened... I broke the A button on my controller. Guess I have to play with my Dualshock 4 controller through the Xbox App until I can buy a new one tomorrow.

Fingers crossed I don't break the X button until then.

 

The abuse that button has seen over the last year... Poor thing. Lousy game is going to be expensive in controllers alone if this is going to be a thing =P

It's not buttons for me, it's the left thumbstick. It gets worn down. I've gone through 3 controllers in 7 years. All work fine...I've just ruined the left thumbstick.

 

I need like...Beskar plating there or something.

I just knock them out, if they die oopsie and if they dont then that is great. Also are you using the re enforced rope? That keeps them tied better.
