If Rockstar gave me my money back (which I've requested numerous times previously) at this point, I'd actually leave. And since Rockstar seems so oblivious to player complaints (the ones that make sense to me), I'm probably going to voice them. Figuring out glitches for this game has become a reason for some to play this semi wreck of a game.

not a B&M at the game, but at people in general: I was doing a bounty mission with a friend but the target failed to spawn, then some random red dot ran at us, shot my friend, so I shot him. He ran at us again, still a red dot, so I preempted him and shot him again.

Then he came back as a blue dot, probably gone defensive, and said to me " ya piece of sh*t, are you gonne stop shooting me?"

I said back "you started it" and let him get his horse, but what do people expect?

You start out charging into a mission as a red dot and begin shooting, you're going to get pegged yourself.

Saw a camp near Blackwater with a pesso leader and his companion. I approached peacefully, I'm lonely and I wanted friends. The leader tries to get on my horse, but my settings were set to "friends only" so he got knocked down and kicked by my horse. He threw a dynamite at it and downed my horse and screamed at me through mic to "get the F away". I panicked, tried to revive my  poor horse, but got shot, died.

 

Everytime I tried to revive my horse I was always killed midway, and the few times I managed to revive my horse it was downed again soon after. Must have wasted my 10 revivers.

 

I got a few kills in self-defense despite the unfair 2 vs. 1, I tried to run away, to spawn my horse (apparently despite the fact it was downed it could come to me if I distanced myself far enough?), I finally mounted it... Got shot again. And again. And again. Never had the time to open the menu to change session or anything, I was killed before I could even breath.

 

I finally managed to flee a little bit more and avoid bullets long enough for my slow ass of a horse to join me so I could mount and reach Blackwater ASAP. In the moment I went to hide myself in the saloon to give myself some time to change session. Except I couldn't. I got shot by one of them, probably the pesso leader, game froze, crash to desktop.

 

FFS. Griefed and crashed in the same 15 minutes. What a game.

As soon as you get killed twice over nothing, switch lobbies. Problem solved.

That's what I was trying to do but being killed pulls you out of the pause menu. At least it somehow did for me.

Well in the end I had to because of a crash but it's sad really that the solution boils down to punishing myself by restarting a game already long to load on my computer. I'm already forced to restart the game numerous times during my playthroughs because of the game's instability, so if I can avoid I will. I wish I didn't have to resort to that.

 

I hope they implement a way to hide temporarily your blip on the map like we could in GTA:O. It's a very useful tool when trying to escape people. That would have saved me.

Lesson well learned anyway. You've waisted $25 worth of horse revivers for nothing. Too bad it happened to you, really. I never let it come that far and either kill back or change lobby for the sake of moving on with what I was doing in the first place.

I both like and don´t want it! With R* awful programming some just could glitch the effect and grief people....

And let me guess, no way to force a solo lobby on PC through ports?

So in other words, you are forced to play with hackers, modders and cheaters.

 

At least on console I never had someone teleport a BEAR on top of me in the middle of a f*ckin desert!

 

I honestly think I dodged a bullet by not getting RDR2 for PC and sticking with the X1X version. I'll happily take 30 frames less for 12 months than put up with hackers and modders.

I've seen nothing, literally nothing, online regarding this. 

 

I'm fairly sure that if port blocking, or my preferred method, IP whitelisting, worked to enforce solo/friend lobbies, something would have come to light either here or on Reddit.

 

Someone must have tried their GTAO whitelist rules on RDO by now, surely. I tried MTU lowering on PS4 as soon as I was finished with the tutorial.

why not parley?

Few of my frends have pre-ordered RDR2 on PC and kept convincing me to do so as well. I resisted, I realy did but against my better judgement I bought RDR2 on PC few days after release with hopes I can play online with my frends.

Boi oh boi, how wrong I was. My PC is not top tier but it's more than capable to run the game on high settings with 60 fps on avrage. (RTX 2060 6GB, i5-6500K, 16GB RAM) The only problem is that even tho the game runs smooth 90% of the time, every so often it freezes for 5-8 seconds for no apperent reason and I cannot hear my friends on discord and vice versa. That would not bother me that much if the game wouldn't disconnected me from online every time the game unfreezed. Every god damn time! This seems to be a common problem with i5 processors as they reach 100% of usage. One would think that lowering graphics settings would solve this. Nope, wrong again. While the game looked like PS2 version, Freezes were even more common than before. Someone suggested to set the graphics higher to lower the FPS and take off some weight from processor. Surprisingly it worked, at least to some degree. Freezes were less common and was shortened approx by half, most importantly I did not get disconnected when it happend. After the last update tho, they fixed the freezing problems (according to patch notes) and I am back where I was before, no matter what settings I use. Getting disconnected every time again.

 

So yea, I am realy happy I bought the game again, having a great time...

If I was R* I would ban anyone that Mods Online in any way permanently from all R* Online service even Youtubers. 

Its not hard to type certain phrases into Youtube and collect usernames. I would spend months collecting a list and checking it twice then I would mass ban them all at once and laugh in their f*cking faces when they cry.

Completely agree.

 

I'm often tough on R*, but I do appreciate that some methods cheaters use are difficult to pick up on. 

 

However, R* can track glitch abusers, I wouldn't ban them, but R* should issue cash and gold wipes. Also, these clowns on PC with modded rank 1000 characters, R* should go down the route of full character resets.

 

As for the glitch and mod promoting YouTubers, R* should hit these hardest of all. No one should be able to make money off the back of making the playing experience for most players worse. They should be permanently banned and R*/T2 should go after their YouTube channels.

 

R* need to get their sh*t together and vastly improve their anti cheat detection, then go after those who actively compromise the game.

 

As for the actual B&M I came to post, I'm, again, not particularly happy about this week's legendary bounty. It's a camp clear out followed by a swarm of enemies with the dual mechanic from SP sandwiched in between.

 

I can see that some fun can be had, shoot the locks of the bear cages from a distance and watch the chaos unfold.

 

But overall, it's not that interesting.

 

I've only really enjoyed the first LB, maybe I could include the Wolfman, but that would only really be because R* actually sent us up to Grizzlies West and tried something different with the wolves as enemies, not because I found it hugely entertaining.

 

I really hope that at some point, R* will give us some good, old fashioned, Western shoot outs. I'm talking big, cinematic feeling set pieces in towns with bad guys tumbling from roof tops and all that corny, clichéd stuff.

Glitching a solo is the thing I'm looking for most before even considering a PC purchase. Someone also mentioned a trainer that might work on consoles that I'm looking into.

Agreed but I would go after the Source which is the Youtubers. I know certain people are gonna cry that if R* started banning people for using glitches that a large portion of the playerbase would leave to which I say "Fine, f*ck off. You never intended to buy a Shark Card so R* does not need you and you spoil it for the rest of us by inflating prices. You wont be missed"

I don't understand how its so hard. I can literally see my stats on Social Club with my income broken down. Oh whats that? You have three hundred million from "Selling Vehicles" and yet have only ever bought twenty? Dupe glitcher, BANNED!

 

If the game was bought through R* I would ban that account as well and make it so they can't download the game again.

Yup. I know people are gonna call me "worse than Hitler" but I would use all my power within the rules of Youtube and American Law to get these channels demonetised and banned. Again, the people that watch them have no intention of buying Shark Cards so they are useless to R* and wont be missed.

I think you will find the coming months quite amusing. I may be wrong but I expect that R*'s anti-cheat in RDO is alot better and they are just baiting the kill.

Agreed. I'd do that too, but Rockstar might not be keen, because there's many idiots out there, loving to use mods in games for the sake of trolling and will buy the game to be able to go down that path. That's money for Rockstar right there. Those who get trolled already bought the game anyway and brought uncle Rockstar their money. And, if sales are good, the game must be good. 
The day Rockstar will take action is when sales start declining. Speaking of it, where are the 'Sold a billion copies of the PC release in the first week' messages? I remember seeing those for the console release, but not yet for PC.

Yes if you choose parley you have a 10 minute window where you and the other can't shoot each other.
