If Tuesday does not bring a SIGNIFICANT patch then I think I am done with this game until the next Update.

 

Why, why would the game spawn me on the opposite side of the un-climbable mountain to which I died? When it knows what side I want to be on?

 

And why the f*ck why does the game continuously move my Camp from awesome hunting spots in Big Valley to fifty thousand million miles away beneath Strawberry in the middle of a dense woodland that I cant get my Hunting Wagon between?

The game gets more and more broken. Apart from all the issues I've already had, now the weapon locker has disappeared from my tent. Checked the equipment list and it is marked as bought. Switching sessions is probably doing more harm than good as my whole camp will disappear. I'm losing patience with this game rapidly again....

1. That's the baffling part for me: if it really is a technical limitation, then that'd suggest that instead of working off GTAO as a foundation, they started from scratch, and ...came up with something that doesn't work as well as a re-release from 2014/2015.

Yeah, that's going to bit them in the arse if that happens - I doubt there are going to be that many people double-dipping on RDR2 two or more years after release, just to play the story mode again with slightly fancier visuals on console. And like you say, either they'll have console players with up to two years of progress having to abandon that with the generational jump (faced with that, I suspect many might not bother...), or they'll make it possible to transfer, in which case ...why shaft PC players now?

 

 

Overall, it's just so bass-ackwards - and I'm inclined to think that if they don't sort out transfers to PC ASAP, it'll likely never happen. After all, suppose they enable it next year - what does someone who played on console 2018-2019, then PC 2019-2020, do, exactly? And again, it's only going to dent sales to whatever degree (IMO) - there's going to come a point where most people are buying RDR2 for Online specifically (like with GTAO before it), and the longer the game carries on, the less likely longer-time players are going to want to buy a new copy on a new platform that forces them to start over.

I had the game move my Camp as I rode towards it dragging a deer. Got to the new spot marked on my map and nothing is spawned. Another player is there as well, directly on top of the marker. He messages me "no camp?" Its gotten so bad that the game is trying to  spawn multiple camps in the same place and spawning none.

Had that happen too a few weeks ago, except there was no other player around in my case. The camp simply moved and turned up empty someplace else, displaying the blue icon on the minimap, though.

This is why I'm not gonna bother with PC version. I'll wait for the inevitable inclusion of the bonus content on the PS5 along with the updated visuals the PS5 port will bring.

 The list keeps me from wandering aimlessly, lol Also, I'm still set on the idea of stockpiling gold, so I never feel like I need to give in to their microtransactions. I gladly gave up a bit of cash in the beginning, but that was enough for me. I still wanna buy anything that catches my fancy. & Ya gotta admit, having a good amount always gives you a leg up with these big updates. Even with the role purchases initially glitched, I was able to leap in & secure a foothold on the ground floor, not that it really matters to anyone but me.

Well, Collector earns so much cash that the $ economy is all over the place, I'm sitting on over $80k cash and it's all 100% legit. Also, they have a premium currency that is more difficult to exploit and is the currency they're using for stuff like Roles and a lot of the new clothing and other cosmetics. The treasure map glitch gave some people a sh*t ton of cash and gold for sure, but I mean... They know who did that glitch, it's the people who opened a billion treasure maps. People wanting transfers getting f*cked because they didn't want to wipe/punish exploiters? Nice. All this is basically what I've said on the topic anyway, if the idea is create a fresh, balanced day 1 experience for everybody, it's an experience that will be over in a week.

 

But anyway even if that was so much of an issue they could just not transfer cash/gold over. ezpz. Wouldn't have much of an issue with that personally.

Benefits of not selling diddly squat to the butcher since the update is that I'm always carrying stuff for those challenges, able to hop on, do the easy ones, and hop off.

 

Until we get the 5 perfect pelts one again and then I'ma be screwed.

Interesting to note. Sometimes I donate a 1* pelt/carcass and it counts towards the perfect pelt DO. It's.. Odd to say the least lol

Several times a 3* carcass donated counted as 6 and got the challenge done real easy. Sometimes bugs are good

i just have to laugh now at this game im not angry now just really disappointed every time i try something new or try to do something the game breaks trying to take pictures of my chacter ? oh well we'll make the photos break or not even save them at all want to go hunting guess what NO ANIMALS or camp to drop them off to if you do manage to find one seriously everything in this game is just a buggy mess rockstar looks like there going down the root of "just fixing issues with ever big update but its not good enough the camp issues and everything else would really benefit them releasing hot fixes to sort it out there driving away most of there player base by offering absolutely no communication or help to fix these issues and the things they are adding are worthless reskins or recolors of gaudy looking clothing just *sigh* but yea the camera issue is really anoying me i was collecting photos for the post your character fourm but i cant even do that without having issues

Drives me crazy when items are not counted towards daily objectives. Happens most often to me with arrowheads and also with herbs, where I end up having to pick about double the number of the objective for it to register. The no camp spawn bug is a continuing disaster, as is the no animal spawn. As each week passes without these basic issues being addressed I just have to wonder what the h*ll R* is thinking.

Yes, or I get to 1/3 or 2/3 and then disconnect; When I get back in, it is 0/3.

 

I know what BobDyl is talking about, though. I've also had them just not count at all when you collect them, with it still being the same count. It is like it just didn't like that arrow/thing.

 

Bounties are also often not counted towards objectives. They want a bounty brought in from the poster in New Austin/whatever. So you do one that DOESN'T count, then one from the same board that DOES count. Some of the individual bounties sometimes won't count for "hogtie with reinforced lasso"/"shoot with tracking arrow", etc. Meanwhile, another bounty you do right after has them all count.

Note that when the collector roles are like "0/3 arrowheads collected", they must be collected in the same session, otherwise the count resets.

The game was broken as f*ck for me yesterday, trying to pitch camp to do the 100 unit sale I have waiting was an exercise in futility, animal spawns were nonexistent, using bounties to create solo sessions didn't work as all 4 that I tried started in the session I was in but were bugged with the bounty target not appearing and all shops became inaccessible.

 

After around an hour I sold a tooth for the daily and turned the game off.
