Is that you in the clip?

You’re welcome. And yes, that’s me.

I see it happens with the split point ammo too, showing 10+30.

Well, when I chambered the right Mauser in split point, it said 10+40 since the left one was still chambered in regular ammo, and read 10+90. When I had them both chambered in split point, they became 10+30. The concept repeats when I chambered in express ammunition, with the right Mauser first reading 10+90 due to being loaded first, and the left Mauser reading 10+80 since it was loaded second.

At the end of the video, you’ll see that one stayed with the express, and the other getting loaded with high velocity, giving a final reading of 10+90 for each Mauser due to different ammunition types.

As for the weapon degradation, Rockstar intentionally coded pistols to have a faster degradation than revolvers. Rifles degrade faster than repeaters, and shotguns degrade the most.

I follow what you are saying but still don't understand if this is a bug or not. I don't know why we can't have 200 rounds like the revolvers, it wouldn't be such an issue for me then.

I never knew that. I used the Volcanics for a good while before but didn't really notice much difference between those and any other guns degradation wise. The Mausers just seemed particularly bad, enough for me to stop using them anyway.

I have switched back to the Volcanics for the pistol kills and headshots awards. Way more accurate, more power and don't need soaking in a bucket of gun oil every 5 minutes.

I don’t know what’s so fun about infinitely spawning enemies out of an invisible vagina. I hated this in GTAV as well and it seems like these morons at cockstar will continue it in GTAVI.

I know its so stupid! I could have bought it if one enemy managed to run away but when you kill all of them and they just keep spawning its bad. Its like the Cecil bounty at the fort, who in their right mind throws 20+ men to their death just to save one man that they don´t get paid for protecting or have a personal gain to save his life.

Its just stupid!!!

I genuinely love what R* was trying to do with the weapon degradation, but tone it just a bit, it’s ridiculous how often you gotta oil the guns...

Frankly, I'm already happy enough we only need some gun oil and a cloth. Imagine the animations if they'd include bore brushes or even dismantling the guns while cleaning.

Yeah, I think I’ll take a break from the game once I reach the 28 days streak. I’m spending more time AFKing at Cripps’ donation screen than actually playing it.

Kudos to R* if they thought about that little detail, but you can still lock on to a certain degree, it's like their hit box is broken or something. Eagles and vultures are almost as big and give no trouble.

Same, at least with so much money now it is only irritating.

Also, I can't figure out a way to buy "max"? I tried holding down "A", doesn't seem to work for those. So I click a lot, then it keeps saying "processing order", then I get bored and maybe end up with 20 if lucky.

I use the RDR2 companion app for all of my bulk purchases like gun oil and ammo.

It's annoying to use another piece of software when a buy max option should be in game, but it's still less annoying than trying to stock up and hitting the processing limit in game before being able to buy as much as I would like to of something.

When I know I'm running low on items I just sit my character down in camp, buy what I want through the app and it goes straight to the camp lock box, or whatever it's called, ready for collection.

Works for me on PS4 (holding down X).  Easier when done from the catalogue.

It f*cking confuses me what the game decides is offensive enough to disconnect you from the servers.

I selected a Bounty today and I swear, the moment i clicked accept it disconnected me.

Spend 15 minutes trying to get my camp in an acceptable location.

Run 2 Supplies missions, 1st "Go get me some chems so I can get as high as a kite!"

f*ck you, I hate this mission. I blow up the wagon.

2nd "Go rob the cops for me."

I hate this one too but f*ck it and I go it.

Get an invite for Trade Route.

Yea! A mission I enjoy!

Accept Invite for Trade Route

TheFroggmann killed 0 enemies and collected 0 goods

See a leaderboard full of gooseeggs.

Spawn in a packed lobby across the map. Go to the nearest fast travel post. Try to fast travel to my camp.

"You must establish your camp before fast traveling to it."

Game off.

Talking 'bout camps.......

Join a new lobby? "Cripps has packed your camp". Kinda fair, you're a newcomer to the lobby. Other people was there before you. Happens most of the times.

Free roaming in a lobby that gets filled/merged at some point? "Cripps has packed your camp". WHY ME???? Happens too often too😩

All these headaches have R*'s insistence on us always being in populated lobbies at the core, and for what? I'm essentially alone without another player in sight the vast majority of the time and when there IS another player around?

80% of the time we pass without any interaction (maybe an emote at most)

15% of the time it's a pointless (albeit often fun) shootout in a town

5% of the time (if I'm being generous) something actually of consequence occurs

Now don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a world with both meaningful human interactions AND a functional game but if I can't have both I'd take a solo session option until R* gets their sh*t together because it wouldn't feel much different anyway.

Like I said in another post somewhere, other players are merely names in a list and an occasional dot on the minimap. Of all 600+ hours played, maybe 10 minutes are dodgy encounters with other players. 99% of the dots I see in the minimap fade away in another direction. All I notice from not being alone in a session is the badly spawning camp and the lack of wildlife.

They might as well grant us solo sessions and let us enjoy the game world for a change.

Online is indeed a dead experience.

If I manage to set my camp up, I often immediately get a disconnect error.

Also getting disconnects when doing the collector role... do I get the coin? nooooooo, does the game think I dug the hole?  Yeeeeeesss.

So can I get the coin I'm missing??

nooooooooooo

Same with Bounties. The game INSTANTLY records the fact that I have selected the Bounty from the wall but not the fact that I have him on my Horse and am ten feet away from the Jail when it disconnects.

I go back to the board, is he up there again? Noooooooo.

I dunno when they added it but you can max buy ammo from the catalog now, super easy to just whip it out and fill the mailbox up with ammo.

X to doubt lol

Not that it's remotely acceptable for RDO to still have months old issues still causing players issues on a daily basis of course. It's also so frustrating knowing that they only fix stuff every 3-5 months in one giant patch, and it's not like they fix everything in that either. Once an update launches, outside of maybe a few things, the state of the game at the time is what you have to deal with for another few months.

As for my personal B&M right now, something something character transfers. 😞

Just had a lobby that had less than 7 players for quite some time. Later noticed it was down to me and just one other player. So I end up fast traveling to Rhodes and right when I get there, I see multiple player blips on my map. Seems as though they treat lobby merges like they do when you first spawn into the game. They try and put you right in the middle of the greatest concentration of other players. So nice of them.

I've had that first part of your post happen several times now, no idea why.

I'll be at 21 players, then later I see a bunch of animal spawns. So I look, seeing around 6 other players. Then it starts to dwindle, until it is just me for a bit. Then it goes up to 21 and me losing my camp. It is really odd, usually it happens for me after I start a resupply/other mission, which is NOT single player (so initially, there are still 21 people.)

Maybe it is because they are trying to fix the issues? No idea.

I'm really ticked about that one.

Although, I haven't played much anything on PC this year except for Total War 3 Kingdoms and some World of Warships. I've been RDRO near exclusive.

And to be honest, I'm alright with how the game looks and runs on an X1X. With the next generation of console coming this time next year and the offerings including backwards compatibility and 60fps 4k... I think I'll survive.

I have gathered too much good stuff, grinded far too hard to start day one again in RDRO.

It's the same as having your account reset if you....cheated, etc.

Feels like punishment for supporting what has been.... a complete trainwreck of an online mode.

Like, hey thanks for sticking with RDRO when near all the playerbase left us.... have an account reset on us, should you decide to support us again and buy the game again on PC.

This weeks bounty was a disappointment mainly for the character. The corrupt mayor Winfield could have been used in a much better way, depending on where he was the mayor of. I think he's supposed to have been the mayor of Blackwater, and if that's the case why isn't he connected to the corruption scandal storyline with LeClerk & Horley? Surely this deed stealing, bribe taking city official would have some info on a prominent businessmen's murder mystery. He would be better suited to a future DLC where the story missions rely on the career paths of the player, rather than the coward with a simple ambush mission we have.

Either that, or Rockstar could have put a lot of effort into a really cool tight corner fight by making him the disgraced ousted mayor of Saint Denis, and given Winfield a much cooler mission with the same premise. Instead of a quiet ride through texas countryside with an arrogant idiot and only two simple ambushes, have it be a city search with cops and mobsters. Give Saint Denis a few interiors for apartments, maybe give one of the Garden District mansions it's own floor plan, and take the player through them. Give the same idea, the full bounty is only paid for both Winfield and the stolen deeds, and that he's hired a traitorous gang to protect him. Your first stop would be his mansion, where the player would find a frightened Winfield, who promises to go with the player so long as they protect him. As the player starts to lead him downstairs the mansion is attacked by Bronte's men, and it becomes a defend the house for a short period. After the attack ends, he leads the player into the city to either his office, one of a couple of apartments, or something to that effect, where he would find the hiding place already ransacked. The second ambush would begin, with Winfield jumping out the window at the sound of police on the street outside, and the player being put into a foot chase through the alley gardens after him. After being stopped, the player would be promoted to turn him over to the police for the first half of the bounty, and be sent for a classic factory fight against Bronte's men for the stolen deeds. It's something Rockstar does well, from San Andreas, to GTA IV and V. Something like that could have taken the fun, and the memorability of the character from forgetable to fantastic.

Yep, nail on the head. Feels like a smack in the face for people who supported the game for the last year. What makes it all worse is it's punishing players who wanted to play the game day 1 even though their preferred platform is PC, which they couldn't purchase the game on because the PC version didn't exist.

My level 248 character would be level 248 on PC and my console character probably barely level 20 if it launched on PC last year, I played RDO on PS4 cause I wanted to play the game and had no option of PC because of either Rockstar's archaic development methods for PC, or because of their greed of wanting double dippers.

If there's technical reasons for the decision, overcome them, they did for GTA V and have no excuse here, if it's some sort of gameplay reason, that 1 week of everyone being fresh of the boat aint worth f*cking over all the people who were expecting and playing RDO console with the assumption of character transfers, cause they supported it with GTAO on all the platforms it was ported to.

What's gonna be a real smack in the face as well if they don't do console to PC character transfers is when they do current gen consoles to next gen consoles character transfers, which you know they'll support if they have any plans for the game beyond 2020.
