The game isn’t dead per say, but players would rather play PvE content over PvP ones because no one can stomach slogging through unbalanced matches against tank builds who seem to never run out of explosive ammo and always chug tonics the moment a stray bullet hits them.

 

So much for Rockstar and their lie about learning from their mistakes in GTAO.

Well that's a disappointing week. Think I'm done with online. Kinda bored with pvp. Never liked freeroam really. Prefer to Roam with Arthur, he interacts with the world better, talks etc.

What a horrible Halloween release. WTF are they thinking? The game was MADE for Halloween. Lonely windswept plains, gothic St Denis, spooky Bayou NWA. Perfect venues for zombies, vampires, werewolves, what have you. Instead a garbage showdown mode, some dumb masks and ridiculous clothes.

Cool game mode Rockstar. Watching the lobby screen and waiting for it to start has definitely been one of the most intense experiences I've ever had with Red Dead Online so far. It's literally just as fun as waiting for heist members to join in GTA Online. We need more of that. We totally need more of that.

It is incredible how cute people can make female characters in RDO, while male characters are forced to look bold and cheesy because of the limited (and grotesque) selection of hair styles and facial hair.

 

I'm not saying that it is impossible to create a handsome stud, but it's funny how the ordeal of character customization has changed between genders between GTAO and RDO.

 

They'll never get it right, I f*cking swear.

You can make your guy character look better than when you originally created it. That’s what I did a few weeks ago since it was free. 

 

Go to “online options” and see if you get a freebie. It’s worth it, if you’re like I was and unhappy with how you originally look.

It's troubling how much I want to be able to shoot my horse. 

I was taking a shortcut over the big railroad bridge from West Elizabeth to New Hannover, but I was stuck behind a train, so the fecking horse decides, without further discussion, that we should just take the road.

Problem is, we were already ten feet up.

So we tumble down, the cart lands upside down on the bastard, but he has the goddamn nerve to survive and bolts, so now I'm torn between chasing him down to punch him or calling in Ron Jeremy to run the bags over to Riggs Station.

This would have been so much easier if I could just grab my bolt action and shoot the f*ckhead.

I think even the marshalls on Kill em each and everyone are using the "tank build" ability loadout now. That or they finally abused the cocaine gum

 

One just ran into the fort unarmed and started smacking anyone got in his way lmao. Could upload a video of it happening since it was hilarious. Not worth the hassle tho.

That or invest a little time into it. Character editor isnt so bad in this game alltough at first it really looked limited.

Shoit is a word, have you never been to Ireland? When you crashed you could have said "Oh Shoit! What a Shoit horse. Now I'll have to Shoit away and call for mine."

 

Anyway, just to say you're not the only one to have had this happen.. 

I found if you try to gallop across bridges at full speed (horses and wagons), once you start veering to one side, even the smallest steering input will steer it in the opposite direction instead of straightening up. Much easier to control if you slow down a bit. 

 

Hope you managed to get your bags delivered, luckily I wasn't far from the drop off (also Riggs) and managed to get mine done one by one. Hated leaving the bags in case other players happened to see them and I had 2 NPC enemies spawn everytime I picked up a bag.

But yeah, I got the bags across.

I usually, not always, manage alright on bridges, it was being stuck behind a train that screwed the whole thing. Frontier traffic jams are also a bitch.

Nope. Sorry. Forget any driving tips, these delivery horses are just f***ing stupid. About half an hour after I posted, I had a full delivery ready. 

Me: "Hey horse, I'm steering towards that massive gap in between the trees to the right."

Horse: "Or.. There's a ramp to the left. Look at me I'm GTA! Oh.. No.. It's a bit high, I'm backing up. Nope, I'm scared. Running away now. Have a fun delivery!" 

 

 

I was on my own, this was near Wapiti and the drop off was at Valentine Station (local delivery). 

Had to clear NPCs when I got there with the first bag and only had time to go back and deliver one more. 

 

Not easy to see, but I crashed to the left of the 'I' in Ambarino. 

 

I blame myself for falling off the bridge that time, but I know this time I was holding the stick to the right and the horse went left.

Oh, it was pretty limited, initially. Plus, what you made and what you had to use in the very first mission you get at rank 1, was oddly different. 

 

The newer (?) editing system is pretty good.

Where have all the animals suddenly gone? Reset my game and console cache, I'm in Roanoke Valley and not even a single squirrel is spawning so I can't do the daily challenge. 

The spawns seemed OK for the last week too, maybe I should contact R * and tell them they need to clear their cache..

I managed to get a few decent chars out when it was still "beta" but yeah you're right, our character mostly didnt ressemble anything near what you had excited the jailhouse with.

Dont bother with squirrels for small animals broken down. Fish works. Any quality. Dynamite em or arrow them same ole

I have the challenge for 20 animal kills and couldn't find anything lol. 

Started a bounty since and got a solo lobby and they're spawning now. Even spawned a couple of opossum(s?) at my feet for another challenge.

They also lied about upgrading everything from RDR multiplayer that was already almost perfect. PVP best example.

My f*ckhead of a Turkoman is an inch away from being shot in the face.

He goes left when I hold right and vice versa, wants to kamikaze into every passing tree and career over every tiny edge I go near.

I have very similar issues with mine. It didn’t used to spook too bad, but now it’s ridiculous. It’s always running off, bucking me off, tripping and just generally being an idiot. 

 

It’s like I have Peter’s retarded horse. Although if I tried to get rid of it, it’d probably end up like...

I find a ring buried in the ground, disconnect a few minutes later and find myself way back where I was before I found the ring. So not only is the ring gone, but the spot where I dug it up is now empty as well so it's lost. These disconnects are made worse when they take you back so far that you lose stuff. It's very disheartening to lose persistence in an online game like this. The disconnects are less often now at least, but it's a punch in the gut when you lose stuff because of 'em.

last night while playing rdo i did the new bounty plus a two star bounty (i put on my creature mask and used my bounty wagon (i had to capture to bad guys)).

after that i found myself near valentine and i was out of gun oil so i went into the general store but i forgot to remove my mask and the store clerk refused to sell me stuff.

i exit the store and remove my mask and go back into store and the clerk once again tells me to remove my mask when i don't have one on.
