Why the f are horses so skittish online? sh*ts pissing me off to no end! Compared to story mode it’s awful.

Horses have been nerfed. They suck. Has nothing to do with feeding, patting, brushing, bonding, etc. They are simply chickensh*ts now.

Worst part is that they spawn in front of the wagon!

Last time this happened to me it bugged my wagon out and I could get back into it but I couldn't drive it, it wouldn't move at all! Which of course left me an even easier sitting duck of a target, they would kill me again and hop into the wagon that THEY COULD MOVE. Like wtf, at least if I could have still driven it I wouldn't have felt so cheated out of my sh*t.

Mine's fine.  Have had to feed it more often since the FP update but it's the same as it always was.

e.g. Happy to run over a pack of wolves but terrified of snakes.

Yeah, it seems the horse personality and hidden courage stats that Rockstar took so much pride in is absent from Online. Try a Turkoman in Story and Online, and you’ll swear that the Online variant has the temperament of a saddlebred, as opposed to the Story one behaving like a true war horse ridden and bred by nomadic conquerers who built their own empires on the ruins of the ones they’ve subdued.

My Turkoman was crap in SP, absolute coward.  Best horse I had was a black Arabian I stole in St Denis, closely followed by a thoroughbred and then the Hungarian.  All the other war horses I tried were really skittish even at level 4 bonding.

2nd playthough the thoroughbred was a coward so I assumed the courage is a random stat when you get the horse.

These disconnects are getting out of f*cking hand. THREE TIMES IN TEN MINUTES!? Are you being f*cking serious?

Who thought it was a good idea shut down the ENTIRE game the moment it disconnects? And then having to load the entire game again, why cant we just keep the world loaded but everything is disabled until the connection is re-established? Stuff like Shops and selling Cargo etc?

Its utterly infuriating.

Weird in all the 15-20+ large distant sales I‘ve done so far I never got attacked by another player/posse.

I got attacked with 25 goods near Blackwater. The game screams out to anyone : "come grief me", on a long distance sale.

All my large volume sales are local. With local sales you can stay in defensive. If there is a daily objective with distance sales, I only sell a few units. If I do get attacked, it's only a $10 loss.

The special horse reviver is bugged. It promises a golden health core, after a revival. The horse's cores are still completely drained, after you bring it back from the death.

Just sent a ticket to R* support of getting a blue screen when selling!

I guess it’s luck of the draw.  My main strategy is this:  Move camp to the heartlands prior to sale than do long distance:  the distance is relatively shorter than most other locations and the roads taken are generally among the least travelled.

if it really helps - ask a couple local players to help you.  Just having some backup who would like to get paid will help immensely.  And it’s not like you lose money bringing in help, and they won’t receive a lesser share when you bring in more help.  (I kind of expect them to fix that soon - a Posse of 8 could run consecutive sales, netting everyone around $2850 because there are no splits)

seriously, if you see me in a lobby (PS4) and need help doing a sale (preferably a large one, but all sizes are fine) - hit me up.  I’ll load up my explosive rounds in my rifle, repeater, and revolver and ride shotgun.

and as soon as you can make them - explosive rounds with PiB.  See someone coming close?  Instant knockdown if not death.

I am finding it increasingly annoying to do bounty missions anymore. Firstly because of the nearly useless Bounty Wagon. If the bounty is in a hard to reach area, you will have a difficult time getting the wagon to the mission location. Combine that with its sh*tty spawning mechanics and being extremely picky on where you must be for it to spawn. Lastly because of the bounties themselves who almost always bolt the second they lay eyes on you, even if they got twenty others backing them up they still run the moment you're spotted. If they at least wait until the battle is clearly lost before they run would make all the difference for me.

Not only that but they are insanely fast, a fat old man can sprint at world class levels? They can get up and keep sprinting when I kneecap them? And lets not mention when they are controlling a wagon that they can break the laws of physics. I had a Bounty last night that was two guys, a wagon and another wagon in front, shotgunned the two guys on Horses and capped the driver so the Bounty had to take over, he suddenly accelerated from a trot to Arabian at full speed in a second, he's on a wagon mind you, and was perfectly taking corners at that speed as well without slowing down.

Leave for 12 months camp is broken...worked fine during their “fake” beta... but luckily I decided to try through the weapon/item wheel. Works fine for some reason. Well sort of. I only have to do it 2x as I’m thinking someone’s camp is already there? Hope it gets fixed!

Bounty wagon seem by far like the most useless of purchases for me, along with the never used metal detector. I only take the single target bounties now, & occasionally the Legendary if I have to, because so far multiple legendary bounties haven't been much of a problem, but the list ain't over yet.

Without being able to use your Horse and a Wagon its useless. People think its a great Solo Player investment but you still need a group to capture multiple Bounties.

I got lucky a couple of times I tried multiple bounties, but never, ever managed to bring in all of them alive. If they're standing bunched together, I usually just "hand" 'em a stick of volatile dynamite, & bola any survivors.

You can get two Bounties with a single Horse by knocking out one and Hogtying then dragging one behind the horse. If you lasso him while hes conscious the worse that can happen is he gets knocked out.

Starting 400 light years from your horse when you log on, people using bolt action rifles to shoot you in the head for no reason whatsoever when you log on. The fact that in team play a lot of people are massive tools about the whole thing team play is, the lack of team spirit in the game- oh and, the fact that last week I loged on and for some bizarre reason some dick shot me in the head, so had to respawn and then get shot in the head by the same weirdo over and over again as he launched a vendetta on me for daring to log on.

Roll on PC it's the only chance to fix if not all of the above team spirit at least, who wants to use team speak on the ghastly PS4. I'd rather get my nuts trapped in a vice. It's an awful medium to do anything and why Rockstar Games indulge oin this whole console sh*t is beyond me, it's maximum Payne.

Currently sitting on a mountain of perfect pelts, a perfect buck, and some perfect varmints while Cripps is 2 units away from a full 100 stock.

I fear that he’ll pack the camp right after I make the delivery and force me to do a bounty or freeroam mission to get it back.

How nice of you to disable defensive mode specifically for legendary bounties, Rockstar, all so we can respawn in the middle of a Saint Denis warzone and end up dead in two seconds. It almost seems... deliberate.

I’m heading to Rhodes the next time I turn in Philip. I’ll still end up in a Lemoyne session, sure, but not anywhere near the cowardly posses that infest Saint Denis.

Sometimes I like taking them real far away, in the current bounties case (and with Cecil a time or two) I'll sometimes take them to Valentine if I'm feeling so inclined.

Well now that I think about it I wasn't able to do that with Cecil after the 4th star, like 20 adds popped out of the trees on horses all at the same time it was kinda nuts. On the flip side if you took him to annesburg all the adds were on foot behind barricades and stuff, much easier to run through without dying.

If you go after a 6 target bounty, that wagon is extremely important.  Level 3 bounty last night, 6 targets - 2 hunters (my brother and I).

After we hogtied them all, it was just a matter of getting the wagon close enough to load them all up.  One person stayed near the group and anyone who wriggled loose immediately got tackled and re-ties.

Bolas help.  Reinforced Lasso is imperative.  And if you’re going after more people than you can carry - wagon is a must.

As for the metal detector - a lot of the arrowheads and coins can’t be found unless you have it.  Great to have when on the edges of the map.  When do you use it?

Well this is the thread for people who can’t handle consoles to whine about them...

You have all the tools at your disposal to avoid people.

I disagree.

Proper Bolas use and getting 4 with a solo is doable.  It’s difficult for sure - but if you solo, getting 2 person bounties is easy.

Only ever needed the wagon for the Legendary Bounties. I ride solo. No point in biting off more than I can chew.

When do I use the metal detector? When I see Peccary pigs flying & Santa waving at me from the moon.  NEVER. I honestly can't stand the collector role, I only maxed it for some of the benefits, like extra satchel space & having my horse pick herbs.

Can this game please STOP BEING A f*ckING DUMPSTER FIRE?

Getting real tired of this sh*t:

Long delivery in a 4 person lobby, Nomally safe enough. Nope, R* FIREHOSES players into the lobby and I get disconnected 2 miles from the delivery point.

Getting tired of Witness! when I clear an ambush or other aggressor random event then return to loot the enemies.

STOP DESPAWNING the enemies at hideouts! Getting tired of losing out on 1/3rd of my lootable corpses because I turned around!

IRON HEADED f*ckING WOLVES! These wolves took bolt-action express rounds to the f*cking forehead! Why are they still alive?

PLEASE DE-f*ck my $1000 DOLLAR HORSE! Wolf? Bucks me off. Bear? Bucks me off. Chipmunk? Bucks me off. GO RIGHT! It goes left into a thicket of trees smacking into one of them. Go to capture a couple of bounties, by the time I get done killing all of the A holes (and one of the bounties) I call my horse so I can dismiss it. Nope the chickensh*t has run to some dark corner of the map where I cannot be called therefore I cannot call in the bounty wagon AND HAVE TO RUN THE LIVE BOUNTY INTO TOWN!

Why do pretty much all Valentine bounties send me to Prinz & Co. Slaughterhouse?

And shouldn't law enforcement be checkibg in on that shady operation by now?
