Feeding your horse often doesn't mean you are feeding it right.

Carrots, apples etc doesn't provide the horse with enough weight to keep it fit, whereas Oatcakes, Wild Carrots and Horse meals do.

So if you keep your horse on an apple diet, say from all the free apples at Braithwaite Manor, it will end up Malnurished, even if you are feeding it when just a sliver of the core is missing.

I did that for a long time until I realised my mistake and got it on a new diet to keep him fit.

When my horse is being a bonehead i definitely make sure to feed it well.

I step back a safe distance and feed it a nice fresh stick of dynamite.

Usally only one stick  is needed for him to get the message and be cool again.

Those results may last as long as 3 sessions before he needs fed another stick of dynamite.

Im just f*cked off with the camp not working whilst there ate loads of animal spawns or visa versa camp spawns and no animals Stopped playing the game now its too broken in what was my favourite role

Somebody mentioned it in this thread (or maybe it was another), that using the wheel to set up a camp is more successful than using the d-pad options —> camp. I’ve managed to get camp to spawn every time using the wheel.

Only thing more annoying are the yellow bellies that shoot you & log off/switch sessions.

I really don’t care about that.  There is nothing preventing them from leaving, nor should there be.  Incorporating a system that would prevent a combatant from switching sessions would prevent people who want to get out of combat to get away from someone (perhaps they are being trolled by a group of people), would eventually be abused.  If you’re going to shoot me than bail - whatever, you’re not going to bother me again obviously.  The shop/PO thing is different because you walking freely in and out of a peaceful zone.

They are the only safe havens in the game are you serious?

Camps are also safe havens - as they should be.  But that’s not the issue because a camp is your personal (temporary space) and I don’t need to be around it.  Towns though are a very important focal point of the content in the game and how we interact with it.

You want to run away to your camp?  Whatever.  Soon as you come out you’re fair game (or your flag gets lowered).  But you could go on a rampage against players and run into a post office and as soon as you do - you’re untouchable.  That’s not cool.  If you start sh*t - you shouldn’t be protected.  It’s different if you’re retreating from someone but as soon as you go aggro than protection shouldn’t be offered.  See below:

I just did a condor egg where someone allegedly found it in 15 secs....this event is easily the dumbest thing added in the summer update.

I wonder if there are specific spawn points and such players head straight out to these spots where they luck out on the egg being at their first.

I have made it to the top of the roster on Salvage events despite the fact that I never head to the marked area first. I know where particular chests and treasure digs are on certain maps and usually get there first.

I dont think there is...after several 30 sec games, I checked, but found no maps or anything similar maybe a map exists.

Yeah, they should expand the search area for this event, make the egg spawn very far from the spawn location, it doesn't have to be like on the edge of a cliff or something like that.

Good question. I have no idea. I think the same rules will apply and it won't spawn. Animals are not instanced just for that player, the Bait only forces the game to spawn an animal.

Hunting wagon whenever you can bring it.

I’ll stop on my way to a bounty to PiB a herd of deer with my bolt action - Flee the Red Hare (my horse), summon the wagon, grab the best carcasses, dismiss, whistle and be on my merry way.

Load that f*cker up as often as possible.  Even if it’s coyotes, middle of a mission - most have a buffer of at least 3-4 minutes that can be used to do this can, some don’t even start until you get near an objective.  Don’t waste those valuable moments.

I know it’s not the fix we need from R*, but it’s something you can do to cope with it.

This is actually how this works in my mind... I would not mind if someone did not even find it.  Some people have said this has happened, but for me, even on day one of the event coming on the list, 30 sec finds are something happening.

I mean at least it would feel like an actual hunt if no one found it as opposed to someone turning on eagle eye and stepping out in the right direction.

Was true for the yellow and the blue Sentinels in GTA. If anyone was watching that stretch of road they wouldn't spawn.

I hardly have any trouble with animals spawning. I'm guessing the spawn issue is at it's worst in crowded popular hunting spots, what with slews of homicidal maniacs covering the whole of the area. Thundering about on horses scaring away the two animals that managed to spawn.

The Hunting Wagon is money well spent. It allows me to, like you said, hunt at my leisure instead of making it my main focus for hours on end. When the game does decide to spawn animals I can toss them in and be on my way.

I dont think I notice the animals spawns because I am not actively looking for them.

There is Halloween everywhere, people are hyped for zombies and stuff, like good old days Undead Nightmare brought to them..

R*: just give them a mask or two, they'll suck it up.

Of all the days in the week, the game chose to be unstable on a Saturday.

I’ll just follow Mr. Clark’s advice and head back to story mode.

I don't consider myself a role player, but when I'm in a solo lobby or sharing one with people I trust (about 90-95% of the time), I travel using my hunting wagon, not my horse. I find that puts me more into the mindset of a Western and how I would have handled things in the Old West.

Don't even try. The only time I started a distant sale in a solo lobby (checked the player count right before and after starting the sale) ended up with a posse of 2 spawnraping me with explosive ammo and stealing the wagon not so long after the "other players can now attack you" notification. Was like R* actually has hired people to specifically ruin solo distant sales (obviously not, but it was a clockwork job, I swear). 100 units lost and a lesson learnt, don't trust solo lobbies in RDO.

Weird in all the 15-20+ large distant sales I‘ve done so far I never got attacked by another player/posse.

I've already tried it half a dozen times so far. The game never dared to merge me with a populated one mid-delivery, no, it does it right after I've sold the product, making Cripps pack the camp, and leaving me to rush between free-roam mission givers for a chance to go back into a solo session since I don't want to lose my perfect cougar and mountain of perfect pelts.

And, when I do finally get my camp set up, and I try to donate anything to Cripps, the game gives me that bloody disconnect alert.

^Either bad luck on my end or my internet is so adamant stable that allows the game to merge sessions in the middle of missions. Idk because when the game puts me in a solo lobby for the typical resupply or BH mission I usually don't have players showing up before I finish. Maybe selling missions are more keen to lobby merging crap? I wouldn't be surprised.

R* is well aware of this don't worry. I wouldn't bet against them already doing their outmost to stop players from doing long solo sales.

Next patch will probably stop it from happening for good but they won't offically admit to it.

That would look funny in the patch notes: Fixed an exploit that allowed players to remain in a empty lobby during a distant Trader role delivery

Worst part is that they spawn in front of the wagon!
