If you want to FORCE animals to spawn then use Herbivore Bait.

Put the Bait down, TURN AROUND, and run away while keeping your back to where you dropped it, once a distance away turn around and look through your scope. Nice freeroam encounter. Small camp with a "I didn't do nuttin" character hogtied on the ground. Can't target the enemies....., but they can target you. Once they killed you, you spawn on the other side of the river, but not only you, so do the enemies. Had to chase them down, in order to be able to free the hogtied stranger and when the last enemy got in sight...., x20010006.

Bait is totally broken for me somehow. Cant make a thing spawn. It used to work with foxes a lot in the times preceeding FP update but since then nope.

I put down three at a time next to each other and I am lucky if I get one animal to spawn. Its just a work around for not having animals spawn at all. Do it in Big valley because its so open and you can see your bait trap from very far away.

Tried it in a very foggy lobby with absolutely zero animals on the ground. Only some occasional birds, I swear these are weird. Always when the fog rolls in you just know you wont have animals. There was 21 players according to the list. Placed several bait potent and normal ones. Nothing. Got tired of trying and went offline.

 I'm kinda hating this about free roam events, & wish when it's over they're return me to where I was when I clicked "join". Disconcerting when I'm hunting near Thieves Landing, & end up in Annesburg after "Salvage" or "Condor Egg"

Hey, I know where all your animals went.

They're in my session. I was just overtaken by an ungodly amount of iguanas all running in the same direction like they were fleeing from the lizard apocalypse.

 

Too bad though that I can't skin any of the large animals. When I went to skinning after a minor pronghorn revolt the skin I'm supposed to carry to my horse just disappears from my hand.

I've noticed with that code crash, we're dumped in the online menu select screen now instead of that blue report screen from PSN, at least I thought it was this error code, been a while.

 

Even Sony don't care about the game, just that they are that fed up of the reports ans they got R* to change it, leaving them in peace and us lumped with the issue, lol.

 

Feels like it anyway. So f*cking cheap and so scared we might end up in an empty peaceful session of course.

It's two different things. You only get the blue screen if the game actually crashes.

Just because you run into a post office or a shop doesn’t mean you should untouchable.

 

This bullsh*t needs to be fixed.  If you start attacking players, shooting their horses, shops and the post office should no longer offer business AND/OR protection.  In fact, you run into that gun shop and the shop keep should quick-draw a Colt 1878 packed with rock salt and blast your ass back out the door.

If you are Hostile you should not be able to use ANY facilities. The game already has a system that forces you to turn around in shops and walk out so it is possible. The Saloon is fine because you don't get ghosted anyway.

Don’t know about anyone else but for me disconnects are back these past two days, also a spike in weekend wankers, shooting horses or me in the back then parlaying

The last few weekends have been painful. I get disconnected way more on weekends than weekdays.

I had this in my session yesterday too. It was very annoying. It wasnt* gamebreaking, but I like to be resourceful and earn whatever I can, be it materials or money for the pelts.

Im just f*cked off with the camp not working whilst there ate loads of animal spawns or visa versa camp spawns and no animals Stopped playing the game now its too broken in what was my favourite role

Good question. I have no idea. I think the same rules will apply and it won't spawn. Animals are not instanced just for that player, the Bait only forces the game to spawn an animal.

Are your horses fit and healthy? If they are malnurished they get more skittish and uncontrollable.

Don't forget your horse needs as much care as you do.
