I personally dunno what they could do with them to be honest, they've basically made a currency that adds no value to the game or progression but at the same time, is dug deep enough into the Roles system that removing it would require remaking the reward structure for the Roles and filling in the gaps it leaves, which they probably aren't going to do in favour of saying adding some more levels to the Roles I'm guessing.

Then trade them for Dollars or lower the price to 0.5 Gold per Token. If R* thinks it's a bad deal to have people play their game for weeks, completing multiple entire Role paths just to scrape back their Gold is an issue then they have the issue. 

 

Also to your first point, those people can suck a dick then cant they? If they are stupid enough to do it then its their own fault, I am tired of "dumb as a rock made from cat sh*t" being the lowest common denominator and stuff being made around that. Just have a warning come up saying "This swap is permanent, only Role Tokens can purchase Role Upgrades" and let the stupid people wallow in the stupidity.

They're also earning gold by playing the roles tbf, Collector not so much but the other two earn them at a decent rate. Daily challenges and award resets too (all three roles have their own awards). It's not like earning enough gold for a Role is difficult either. I wouldn't be against your idea but my worry would be if Roles pay for them selves through leveling them up, like the Outlaw Pass, that's one less gold sink. I'd rather have what we have now over something potentially worse in future.

It's not just that, it's a potential progress block. Can't buy a shovel, can't buy a metal detector, or a wagon, or whatever. All this stuff requires tokens, some of it is basically mandatory for the role to progress further. If those didn't cost Role tokens then sure it'd be fine, but enough warnings and idiot checks in the world don't make selling the finite amount of tokens you get for cash/gold a good idea the way with the Role rewards are unlocked right now.

This game has a nasty habit of disconnecting at all the wrong times. And the worst part is that it's losing progress when it disconnects. Yesterday I had nearly completed the "skin 3 rabbits" daily four times but disconnects caused loss of progress and had to do it all over. Fixing this should be top priority; no other game does this.

GOD help me I want to love this game but for it to have such broken f***ing functions that it can't remember simple s**t it used to like, "the world should be filled with wildlife, & when people are loaded into a new server/event/pvp they ought to be dressed"

Yeah I'm about done with the trader role. I'm donating stuff to camp as and when I feel like it. Also, f*ck the resupply missions, I'm just buying the supplies now. The way I'm doing it now it's pretty much a passive, slow and fairly modest money maker. I wish I hadn't purchased the hunting wagon too, it just doesn't hold enough to make the hassle of using it worthwhile.

@Ronin Ogami Prolly a stupid question but you aren't rocking a glitched outfit are you? I've only run into issues like that with the glitched outfits but obviously that doesn't mean it isn't happening with non glitched ones and I just haven't encountered it.

 

As for the role tokens, I get he complaints but at the same time there are enough tokens provided to be able to purchase all of the unlocks if you want while having a few left over. I was curious when I'd finished rank 20'ing all the roles so I went and unlocked everything left and I had 5 tokens left over. Granted not everyone is going to want to unlock everything but it's nice to know you can.

No, my five outfits are posted in post your character, & none of them are anything but the "normal" mix & matching of items from my wardrobe. That's what pisses me off even more. Not being able to see my outfits, other people not being able to see my outfits, defeats a huge purpose in the game for me, & makes me feel like I don't want to invest any time into the game.

Solo lobby there are animals. Lobby with 20-24 almost no animals.

The same for hideouts, ambushes, ect.

Camps are more stable in solo or low count lobbies of 5 or 6 players.

 

Two days ago i was in a solo lobby doing a bounty  and the swamps were full of animals.

After timing out i was back in a 20+ lobby and the animals just vanished. 

It was like the animal switch was on and then turned off.  In a blink of my eyes the animals were all gone.

I got disconnected during a large sale after I spent 30 minutes trying to get my camp to spawn.  The collector map is a thing of beauty, but the rest is just not worth as much effort as I am putting in.  I tried to play the 4 star bounty.  Killed them all and called in my wagon, it spawns in bushes not on the road running through the middle.  The horse is instantly killed as I am trying to get it unstuck.  This was after I spent 5 minutes trying to get it to spawn period.  The only things worth playing at this point are dailies and collections if it weren't for collector this update would be hot garbage.  Honorable mention: Day of reckoning, free mode event just to get the bounty buckles, but its so glitchy its almost comical how bad it is...like razzi level, so bad its good kindve thing.  I have earned more off the collector in 2 days than the other roles combined.  I bet the prices are going to be nerfed or the ability to collect full collections every day will be altered.  Making 4k today if you have the time and that doesn't include the wild flowers right now.

Got disconnected three times last night waiting for Crips to make the last ten of my Cargo. Quickly started the sell mission, game froze up for a minute on the loading screen and changed just as I was about to quit and drop a support ticket, froze for another minute on the screen with the black bars and you sat on the wagon before the mission started. Luckily I got it to the drop off before it froze or disconnected again then turned it off and went to bed.

 

Its getting ridiculous when your players are actually wary of playing your game in-case it disconnects or glitches and you lose hours of work just because some people found a Bogdan style glitch. You used to get all your stuff back if it was not sold but R* decided to f*ck over seventy percent of its userbase because of the actions of a few.

 

Why make it so that people lose all their Cargo from disconnects? Why not add an hours timer (because you f*cking love timers) before you can do a sell mission. Its a sh*t yes, but I would rather have that than lose nearly four hours work (Hunting and waiting combined)

I’m only doing the collector role now cause of this very reason...

No wonder my horse is so skittish all the time, Rockstar fixed the Horse stats so they actually save now(At least on the Breton).

Poor thing was malnurished. I completely missed the patch notes about that being fixed.

Well, good thing money is easier to come by now, he is off the apples and on an Oatcake diet now. That should keep him fit.

I also know this might seem petty but can we get a controller vibration pulse when the Bounty timer gets down to the last thirty seconds? I tend to watch TV or look at my phone when I am waiting out the timer and I miss the timer.

Be on the lookout for wild carrots. Almost from the beginning, I found that feeding your horse every time you see carrots & then picking them helps with your horse's health. Easier now that the horse can grab them for you. Carrots are so common it doesn't take long to get & maintain a max stack in your satchel. & That's all the better for all our horses.

I always figured that the Wild Carrots were just like the store bought carrots and didn't provide enough nurishment for the horse. But if they do that, awesome, I used to feed my horse those until I found out about the apple thing at Braithwaite manor, I'll just go back to the carrots, I have been maxed out on those for a while now.

I always have a full stack of oatcakes, because I always have carrots on deck and I feed my horse that before touching oatcakes.
