Ohhh ok I thought I was trippin, but it looks like this character phase in and out BS is not just happening to me. Sometimes the opponent does not lose health when taking a direct hit either.

I'm just guessing but that particular example looks like some really bad desync to me. When he tackles you you see him briefly go behind you and then you teleport back to where you originally were, I'm guessing on his screen he ran behind you and tackled you from behind.

The ability to basically sprint whilst aiming has almost completely invalidated all forms of melee combat in pvp. It used to be the only real way to counter someone in Slippery Bastard was to tackle them and use their drained stamina to your advantage. Now you can basically run 99% full speed BACKWARDS whilst firing off a gun, you can never get close unless they just don’t see you coming. I truly don’t know what they were thinking adding this mechanic. Even outside of being a counter to SB, it was fun to just go into deathmatch-type games and play the unorthodox strategy of being a brawler. It was difficult, but rewarding when you got it right. Now it’s just relying on your enemy not noticing you 3 yards away from them and sprinting in their direction.

Has anybody ever got a reasonable answer from support about the camp spawning problems? I've contacted them a couple of times, and both times I make sure to include that I have tried all of their "magical solutions" and they don't work for me. But alas, I get the same old response about taking certain steps to make the camp spawn.

 

How refreshing would it be just to get a response saying, "yes, we know it's screwed up right now and we're trying to find a way to make it work."

"If that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall the game" won't fix the issue but will keep you occupied whilst we look up the next fob off.

 I will straight out call them on this "Newbie Tech" response. It's the same crap I get from my ISP when there's a problem on their end. I left everything as the tech set it up, maybe rebooted it, but obviously, if something WAS working fine one minute, & then isn't & you didn't change anything . . . where could the problem be? R* knows there's issues, WE know there's issues, quit treating us like idiots, admit somethings wrong, &that the company is trying to work on it (or find out about it)

I even tried launching different bounty and stranger missions to get an empty session for at least an hour but that wasn't working either. Not a single Gila spawned in that time. 

Gave up for now, I have all day to get it at least.

I'm sure you've heard the saying "Don't hate the player, hate the game". Unless they're told to give the response you want to hear, it'll just  be canned answers and copy/pasted solutions as instructed.

 

Unless it's an account issue, contacting support about general game issues that everyone has is a waste of time.

Same. Gonna run a few errands on the south side of town, maybe when I get back this afternoon, things will have sorted themselves out a bit more.

Solo lobbies aren't consistently popping up for me. My best results happen in crowded areas where the game doesn't run as smoothly. Valentine usually works for me.

Started a caravan escort for the guy at Tumbleweed sheriffs office and got an empty session. Didn't see any Gilas but didn't want to leave the caravan and fail. After it finished there were 7 others in the whole session and I managed to find some then.

But Gilas only spawn in the desert and fast travel is disabled so I was only trying missions in that area. 

I'll keep your suggestion in mind for hunting in future though.

I've been dual wielding since rank 7 in beta, & as a Xbox user, this crap always feels like a barbed wire baseball bat in the nutz.

I'm on Xbox too. Out of all the ability cards in the game I have only ever used 4 (not including paint it black [why is it not called paint it red??]). 

Really want to try out this Gunslinger's Choice. 

How long was it until PS4 launch exclusives were available on Xbox?

That I always thought was strange not that Black is for mourning or death, but the fact that Black for sadness is also known in the western countries when Blue is also known in western countries when talking about the feeling of sadness.

i've been trying to do the recent legendary bounty at 4 star level but it seems i randomly get lag when i try to use my weapon wheel or try to drink a tonic.

which sometimes leeds to me getting killed (i've been trying to do it solo)..

After wasting my money on both medium and large wagons, one of the top tier Kladrubers, a black labrador, a new fully upgraded ability card, and all the overpriced collector equipment that are essential to the role, I’ve easily returned to my pre-update levels of wealth with the help of some maps and a handful of wagon sales.

 

No, I won’t bother with bounty hunting. As if I’ll be a bootlicker of the law who deluded themselves into thinking they’re good people of upstanding morality.
