Don't shoot bro, i'm just chilling. 😮

R*'s gotten some criticism for things like combat, mission design, controls, etc., lately - but maaan, do those pale in comparison with how awful they are at stealth gameplay... :barf:

While I get the point of your post, this sentence sounds like YOU are the toxic player you try to warn others about.

This, so much.

NPCs must have their own minimaps, radars and dead-eye too because whenever I pick off a lone guard with an arrow to the knee head at the edge of a dimly-lit bandit camp at night, everyone else automatically knows exactly where I am and where to shoot.

Following this I have no choice but to introduce them all to Mr Pump-Action

You have poor reading comprehension. I keep a shotgun on my back for the chance I get shot at, not the chance to shoot at people.

I’ve merely listed the type of people who typically can’t resist attacking defensive players. If they missed all their shots and high-tailed it, I won’t bother chasing them.

This!

In my first try at the new legendary bounty I shot one of the guards outside a cabin with bow and arrow. Then I went in and picked off the two inside, no shots fired but everyone else on the hill was alerted since those two saw me. Even if the cabin was at the foot of the hill and no where close in the other npc:s field of view.

My guess is that they're connected with a hive mind.

  • Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter
  • Braided horse tail
  • All-white outfits
  • All-black outfits
  • Hillbilly-type characters
  • Feathered hats
  • Pink anything
  • All-gold weapons

Always keep a shotgun on your back and have your defensive mode on, and humiliate them three times before going about your business.

Profiling never works.

I am a rank 285 beta player

I wear a Black /Red scheme (white Snakeskin for one of my outfits)

I ride a black Arabian, a seal brown Breton, & the dark bay Turkoman. ALL of them rock the Ram mask

By the way, I've never shot FIRST. Honestly those who do in my opinion, are lost & illiterate, & somehow cannot find their way to showdowns proper.

Yup, to both of these. :turn:

That's my experience with every single stealth encounter in this game: take out one person silently with a bow or knife (or just use that opener to line up as many deadeye revolver headshots as possible to thin the crowd), then pull out my trusty shotgun and just mow through the rest, because they all instantly know exactly where I am, despite me being totally silent and them having zero line of sight with either me or the person I just took out. :facedesk:

And it's not even like Mafia III, which does decent MGS-style stealth, but then lets you just say "f*** it" and go to town on them (with the option to shake them and hide again) - it's just broken and poorly-designed. The only saving grace is that the pump-action shotgun is always satisfying to use (unlike most of the other guns...), but still, it's such a pain to try and play things like bounties as intended (sneak in, stake out the area, grab the target unseen, escape, profit), only for things to devolve into yet another lacklustre shooting gallery, because R* based their AI on the frigging Borg... :rol:

From my experience the players shooting first are to a small extent just douches that dont want to do nothing but causing mayhem and to a bigger extent players which are constantly paranoid that someone might shoot at them. E.g. players that aim at you 5 times just because you‘re riding behind them. YES, apparently it happens that two players are heading in the same direction.
also, why are some players answering stalking always with the highest form of escalation = shot to the head. When I‘m stalking you on foot in saint denis and you got a problem with me, come and hit me with your fist or lasso me or just simply ride away.
if ones first response to whatever behavior one might not like is a bullet to the head you mustn‘t be surprised by relentless killing starting after that.

Leftover Pizza

Not a single animal in sight. Not even in the pens at Emerald Ranch. No dogs there either. BUT, my camp spawned every time I switched lobbies. Not much use for it now, since I can't supply any materials.

I had to get my ducks on a delivery mission.  :/  Nah, this game ain't broke, it's diverse.

Part of the saddles, when you equip one on your horse (at the stables) go through the options. :)

Do you have to be a certain rank in one of the 3 options?

No, it was one of the last premium rewards for the outlaw pass. (still available I think)

I can't go on a delivery mission yet, because there is no stock and nothing is produced without materials either...... Could do a bounty mission, but that would probably respawn me without a camp. The features this game has........

I check on all of these, and with a few exceptions(of me being in a devilish corner) I dont shoot first. I trust everyone to the point they start shooting me. I hate defensive mode, so dosnt use that either. I like the risk of being shot. We are in the wild west afterall. But opposed to the real deal, I respawn. So I dont mind.

EVen though I am not one of those aiming at other, from my experience I can state this never happened to me: when someone rides up behind you, you will eat a bullet: happened to me 100% of the time.

These douchebags are back big time since a couple of weeks, I really feel like we are back to beta. Even Defensive mode wont help because R* is shelling out XP and explosive ammo to everyone.

Non Funkable Token

Apparently in the last days I've developed a magnet for coward griefers that only attack when numbers play in their favor, also injuring your horse when you respawn miles away. Total fair play, huh? Ugh. At least the GTAO griefing kids have enough balls to go all alone, ironically.

RDO playerbase is miles ahead GTAO playerbase still.

Game is completely unplayable for me today due to the constant disconnects and "unable to connect to Rockstar services" messages. I get disconnected before I can even load into the game

FFS R*, how is it that picked herbs are often not being counted toward daily objectives? Seems basic.

In my experience, it's the players in the 20's and under that are the biggest chooches.

(on PSN) there's nothing to reveal by your profile. Someone would have to be on your friends list to even be able to see the general location of where they are.

This is my experience too. I'll ride up to a rank 200+ without a second thought, in the vast majority of cases they'll be chill.

Rank <20 players on the other hand are far more jumpy and trigger happy.

I find this as well. Normally it's Posses of two where one player is in the fifties and the other is lower than twenty.

I always find that the griefers load out it dual Sawn-Off Shotguns at close range, Bolt Action Rifle and the Paint It Black card. When ever I see a Red Dot near me its almost certain that their blip will change to a Dead Eye sign and they try and sweep across my head with PiB.

f*ck this game!

100 goods, local delivery. Arrived at Riggs Station, shoot out in progress... literally had time to get off the wagon and slot two bad guys and then MISSION OVER, the buyers have been killed.

You f*cking what, mate? I couldn't have got there any faster. And so what if the cunts are dead? Why should that mean my sh*t vanishes into thin air?

No more Red Dead online tonight. f*ck off.
