Do you have wireless internet?
That could be the cause.
I use Ethernet Cables between my router and console and I rarely get a disconnect...

I rarely get disconnected, far less than some of the horror stories on here which is why it was such a surprise to me. Enough to post about it.

I actually feel like I've had an influx of people going out of their way to try and kill me while in defensive mode the last few days, the last dude I literally just ran circles around him for like 30 seconds (it's amusing how bad some people get without auto aim) after killing him two or three times to the point he put himself in defensive mode hoping it would somehow help. I won't deny getting enjoyment out of making them run away or leave the lobby.

I don't know if he is, but I get the same thing every. single.  night.

 

I'm hard wired with a brand new Cat 6 cable. All of my ports are forwarded correctly, even the extra ones R* "suggests." I get 300 down and 20 up. My Ping is 20 ms with 2ms jitter and zero packet loss. By R*'s own admission, there is NOTHING WRONG with my connection. At all. Full stop. AND, I'm playing when no one else in the house is using the internet. No one. For nothing.

 

I still get disconnected at least 6 times a night (2-3 hour session. Less when the DCs really piss me off). I have been DCed, and DCed trying to rejoin. I've been DCed and unable to rejoin for over 30 minutes. I've lost a conservative estimate of well over $10,000 due to disconnects with material on my horse, getting DCed upon completion of a mission or Showdown so no reward, DCed WHILE LOOTING A TREASURE only to come back with no loot, and no map either, or lost sales since the beginning of beta. It's probably twice that, but I'm being overly generous limiting the estimate.

 

Some nights, I may only DC once or twice. But if it's a Tuesday, or Friday-Sunday, forget about it. It's not even worth trying anymore. So basically, I get 3 nights a week where I might be able to actually get anything worthwhile done.

 

A considerable portion of the player base suffers from this on various degrees. We have since beta. When R* says they've made "stability fixes" it gets WORSE. They shrugged and said "f*ck if we know" after weeks of ongoing troubleshooting. After admitting that I had zero issues on my end, the only thing they had to say was to ask me to try playing from another ISP!!! W. T. F?!?!?!

 

But yes. We're complaining over a small number of DCs, and didn't think to check the obvious...

You might wanna google PS4 booters and consider revising your friends list. Also make sure that strangers can‘t write you messages.

 

a friend told me about it half a year ago and after I deleted A LOT of people I didn‘t know on my list and closed down msgs it got better. Seems like I got a booter in my friends myself back then

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check it out. Hell, I'll try anything at this point. I'd even sacrifice a chicken if I thought it would work.

 

And, of course, after that rant I had, the game made me a liar tonight. Got online with no issues. Camp spawned immediately. And stayed up! I didn't DC even once. I made about $2500 tonight and then right as I was about to log off, the Condor Egg event started, so I figured I'd do it for kicks before getting off...

 

I found the egg! In like 30 seconds. LOL (Ok, it was probably closer to 1:30, but it was very fast). Sorry to everyone else who barely even got a chance to loot kills or anything.

Just a couple random rants here. 

 

Never understood the logic of reclaiming a stolen wagon where you're not suppose to kill anyone, yet on the way back, they send waves of dudes after ya where you're forced to wasted them.

 

Fishing should be a passive/ghost mode.  Not only are you a sitting duck, but there's no radar.  Can't tell ya how many times I was reeling in some sockeye, or muskie, and bam.  Cheapshoted.  And this while in Defensive mode.

 

Quick question about that Terminator video right before me.  What card set is that most likely?  I have a pretty defensive set at max, yet I still get 1 shot killed at times no matter how many tonics I chug.  This against even puny single level ranks, and me having S&S III active.

 I would advise that for solo five star bounties ( if you like), but not PvP, unless you're really hard up against greifers . . .

That will be well known in 2 Days latest. Ive faced already a few of them today. 

 

Its pretty expensive as u need tonica all the time which will cost u in a showdown up to 100 dollars.

Actually ground tackle them ? Because at first, I threw it, then I just ran up with it equipped and put their face in the dirt which hogtied them.
