So I just did a selling mission for the trader role 25 items. Got to the delivery point and get ambushed. Literally 5 seconds into the fight...buyers killed delivery failed. F**k that. What a waste of time. Game switched off. I only get a couple hours a night on it as well.

Sometimes I both love and hate this games realism...

I was just hunting a Bounty and I had her all knocked out, tied up and ready to be carried to my Horse. She starts wiggling and spitting empty threats at me so I kick her in the head (face slightly away so the "Cut Free" prompt does not appear and press B/O) to knock her out again and the kick sends her towards the stream we are next to and I go about Looting only to get the message that shes dead. Turns out she drowned in a few inches of water that me kick sent her towards.

Don't see any difference, in fact I'm getting LESS XP than yesterday! And XP is quite valuable for the Bounty role, there's no sink like Resupply with 4 posse members or completing and selling a collection.... it's literally a grind! How the actual leveling was before this update

 

Also, I got black screen bounty FOUR f*cking times in a row. Switched sessions, oh it did it again! Again! Again! Eventually I decided f*ck it, I'll wait for Salvage and call it a night.

 

I might hop back on later, but this no XP sh*t is really pissing me the f*ck off. My Trader level maxed out last night from the long distance sale I did with randoms, and my Collector maxed during Salvage. Bounty meanwhile...? Half of that, it's 10. At least I finally bought my first holster, can dual wield pistols now! Gonna buy another Schofield and the Bounty livery for it after I finish all the collections, only proper way to dual wield is using the same variant of gun!

 

And if player bounties reward a massive amount of XP..... please don't defend the bounty's sh*t level of XP giving. Nobody has a bounty that high lol You'll be lucky to find somebody with that once if at all, and most likely it's somebody who got it that high to see what jail's like

Honestly even though you've already spend money buying the game, RDO isn't worth the data and power you'll have to spend to re download it if you ask me.

ETA: I'm actually hoping to get the black screen of death because my supplies are empty and I need to fill my hunting wagon lol.

What rank are you? You stop getting any BH XP after rank twenty. I don't mind though, as I still love the role.

20. I know I don't get bounty xp anymore but I didn't think I was getting regular xp either. I checked my player xp before and after delivering a target and I am getting xp, just not getting a notification at the side of the screen. 

So, um, yeah just ignore me! It's been a long grind today and I think it's starting to catch up to me lol.

Apparently delivering large carcasses in the hunting wagon doesn't count toward the daily challenge with Cripps. 
EDIT: Apparently tarot cards don't count toward the daily tarot card challenge either.

God I hate that there isn't an in-game text chat function like there is in GTA. I mean I know there's no phones to text on, but there's gotta be some way to do it. For players like me that greet every violent PvP interaction with a heavy sigh and a "really?" it's a godsend. Just being able to send a quick "can you not" without having to rely on their not having locked PS messages is great, and often can help ease tensions.

 

Also @Shadowfennekin I thought the same, but turtles do spawn in Stillwater Creek, at least when animals are spawning. Found mine within walking distance of my goods trader.

Here's a new one for you (or at least for me). Started a bounty, got on my horse and it's unresponsive. Just stands there. Get off and whistle. Nothing. Tell it to flee. Nothing. No transportation to the bounty unless I run around and steal something. Thanks Rockstar. Update abortion complete.

tonight i was doing a long distance sale (only worth $78.00), i got attacked and killed by two other players.

i respawned and manged to kill one of them but the other killed me, i dashboarded out.

why can't other players mind their own business?

Do the local sales instead, the extra money really isn't worth it unless you've got a posse. Even then I personally wouldn't bother with a far sale.

Suddenly the sessions are almost void of wildlife. It causes a hard time to level up the trader. My camp disappears constantly. I have to repitch it again for money. Only to find out that it is gone again.

OK so new update just patched the few broken things that helped us and they didn't fix the sh*t that f*cked us? WTF!

 

So the disconnects still happen, the f*cked camp placement errors still happen, the lobbies void of hunts still happen.

 

All they did was patch the ability to create an empty lobby. So lucky I managed to level to 20 on my roles before the patch. Sad face all round.

agreed, seems like r*'s answer to nerfing the trader role.  forced full lobbies with nothing to kill. Then you get cripps resupply to deliver some cunt a turkey and all of a sudden those animals are rarer than a ghost fart with hens teeth.

 i liked you post but I don't like the outcome. my like was just to say that i agree. I like nothing about the way lobbies are managed and the RNG of animal spawns are affected by the lobby you're in. trader was so damn profitable, so r*'s answer to it, was don't nerf the payout, just nerf the ability to hunt.  my spawn points of cougars is no longer a viable option. the just never spawn, ever. The trader is currently a dead role. just a lobby full of collectors and Bounty hunters.

Actually this game is making me do just that. I’ve come across many long distance sellers, and I can see them ready with their weapons. But I always let them be. After playing GTAO for years, who can blame people for being suspicious of other players? 
The best thing is when some guy invites to a posse, just to do business. When the xp is as good as it is with the roles, it’s fun to play together.

Don't be greedy then. Choosing long distance delivery is an invitation for people to try and raid you.

I can only hope, for the people still playing RDO, that cowardly traders who logs out will lose their cargo in the future

And you will still experience disconnects, even if you pay a subscription on top of a subscription.This is an issue with Rockstar’s poor knowledge when developing multiplayers, they’re still inexperienced and too proud to learn from the veterans on that front.

 

There are plenty of Free-to-Play games out there that have more stable servers than RDO, and they’re more deserving of your money.

I finally decided to try the Trader role last night.

 

Sent out to pick up Cripps's cart for the first time. Rode all the way to the location and dispatched the guards. As soon as I hop on - disconnected

 

One grumbling restart and repeat later I attempt to make my first delivery for the business. The horse and cart gets wedged between a small rock and what would generously be described as a thin tree by the roadside not far from the drop-off. Game:  ThE SuPpLiEs WeRe DeStRoYed

 

I then turned RDO off and spent the rest of the night playing Chroma Squad instead.

 

 

 

Getting the full R* experience with this one already, not gonna lie

I appreciate where you're coming from, but on the other hand I'm so thankful that we don't have this facility. 

The amount of toxic messages sent in GTA would inevitably appear in RDO. It just compounds any existing toxic behaviour.
