Yea I don't remember them much either but I've been slaughtered by them multiple times today, one earlier was at the hideout at the Stranger womans place in SP up in Roanoke, the guy is the last one hiding in the bedroom, I walk in and get ready to shoot the door so he doesn't surprise shotgun blast me and he just comes charging out and OHK's me with the machete. wut

 

LOL. That's exactly the one who I got slaughtered by too. He came running out the room, as always. I had the guns ready, but he had a machete this time, instead of his normal poor cattleman's. Surprised the f*ck out of me.

I’ll have to disagree with you there. The Cattleman is what decimates at close-range because it fans faster than other revolvers, and you cannot fan with the Double-Action. Hell, even a Schofield being fanned has better DPS than a double action fanned or not.

 

And the aiming system is irrelevant. The weapon is underpowered because of the bloom, which is present regardless if you’re playing with auto aim or free aim. If you want a comparison, the Mauser is technically supposed to be less accurate than the Semi-Auto, but because the Semi-Auto has exaggerated bloom while the Mauser’s bloom is milder and recovers much faster, which makes it land shots better than the Semi-Auto, which misses more often than it lands in the first place. That is on-top of having better damage and ammo count, making it a direct upgrade.

 

I don’t even understand why you want the Double-Action to stay useless.

Those guys piss me off the most because even if you see them coming they auto 1 shot you from like 10 feet away, makes counterattacking in close spaces near impossible. I go out of my way to do the six point cabin hideout from the cabin side first every time now so I can lure that machete f*cker out and kill him first.

 

Edit: ya that guy in the cabin from the lady you help in SP is a pain as well, dude won't move till you step into the house. I always save him for last and then run in and hide behind the table so there's an obstacle between us, the second he emerges from that bedroom door he gettin some hot lead to the dome.

I don't want them to "stay useless" I want the weapon balancing to stay exactly how it is. Despite the name the DAR are not "Revolvers" per say, they are the low end, "budget", automatic weapons. Rapid fire weapons that can be bought at low levels for a cheap price.

Main advantage of the LeMat is the 9 shots, with the shotgun rounds kicking in at the end when you have closed in to close range.  

 

I run with a LeMat and a semi auto pistol. With Winning Streak and Strange Medicine, it’s a brutal combination. The high rate of fire from both guns simultaneously regenerates my health while increasing my damage output with every shot.

The guys i hate most are the bandits circling the campsites. Pump shotgun with slugs at 10- 15 feet and they just laugh off chest hits.
What works sometimes is i go for their horse first and then the rider when the horse goes down.
Sometimes nothing works. Either no hit detection or the bandits are using an invincibility cheat. Invincible horses too.

That hideout guy that pops out with a machete got me real easy one time too.
Now i quickly get behind the table and aim my sawed off, watch him move on the mini map, then nail him with both barrels when he pops out.

They’re indeed revolvers, and the current “balancing” isn’t even balanced. All the new players stick with the Cattleman until they can afford a Schofield or a LeMat because they know the Double-Action can’t even hit the broad side of a barn unless if you crouch and hold still for five seconds.

Gotta love when you do a gang hideout, some random comes running to steal your loot so you shoot him..... and he spawns right back and promptly shoots you.... meanwhile YOU spawn a mile away while he reaps the rewards.

 

Why can't the X's only be shown to the person who killed the NPCs? It works that way with animal carcasses!

I usually have no problem with these using a pump-shotty and running around like Speedy Gonzalez, but if I don't chug a health tonic at least once I tend to take a dirt nap.

If they made the DAR more accurate they would be on par with the end game weapons like the Mauser.

Yeah, the game has become unplayable on my end. First they kill my 128 streak, now I can't stay connected long enough to start a new streak or even get anything done. The other night I managed to stay connected for about 30 minutes, in which time I managed to find 3 lost jewelry boxes and a single heirloom. After getting kicked (again), I returned to find my 3 jewelry finds reset to 0. Then the next kick reset my heirloom count. I don't understand Rockstar's reliance on the "silent treatment" with regards to this issue. Tell us what the **** you're doing to fix this craptastic abortion of an update.

I can only play the game at night or in the morning, because during the busy times of day I disconnect every time, even with good internet. Before the update I never disconnected. Whatever they've done, it's put too much stress on the servers when a lot of players are playing.

I reckon most of these new issues/bugs etc are due to servers being overloaded

Next-Gen Vercettis

Just failed my second supply mission of the day and wasted about 20 minutes because the game can't spawn just 1 one f pronghorn and the timer ran out.

Both times. 

 

Going to just buy them from now on. The metal detector will make the $20 back. Got more than that for a single coin once. 

 

Oh and the bounty missions that don't give XP at the end don't seem to count towards the daily challenges either.

Has anyone actually utilized the new ducking on horseback mechanic in a gunfight? I unlocked it two weeks ago and had completely forgotten about it until doing it today by complete accident. It’s really janky and hard to even do consistently IMO.

Twice as funny to me because collector's been my slowest ranking role so far. Still at rank 11, while I finished Bounty Hunter & finished Trader just last night :/

Camp and bounty hunter have now become unplayable for me 2.5 hours this morning trying to set camp and reloading game, This is just totally unacceptable game is now totally f*cked up

 

Just but a ticket in at R* there normal responce times are within 48 hours but the web site is now stating 96 hours They must be getting an extreme amount going in at them at the moment

Keep leaving and rejoining your posse and your camp will eventually show back up. I just learned this recently.

Dont always work, 2.5 hours of that sh*t and at least a dozen lobby changes today not one camp spawned ive gave up now its a bloody joke

Regarding camp not spawning.. 

 

I've noticed less issues when the player count is low, same for hunting. 

Has anyone who is really struggling to get a camp set up tried to start a bounty mission to get a session to yourself and then tried make a camp? 

I don't know if there is a way to guarantee getting the black screen and empty session but it has happened to me twice today, both times I chose the easy bounty (one from Strawberry, I forget where the other was).

My camps always disappear when i start a BH I dont have any issue with animal spawns

I noticed my camp disappear during the mission but reappeared again when the timer ran out. I still had the session to myself for a while after but at some point it must have merged with another.
