Well I'm not being griefed as much although I never stay near anyone more than 5 seconds only had a few this week come follow me. But what I can't stand in this game now is every town that has dots in it is under siege like wow, they little kids shooting everything they see? I'm tired of seeing dead civilians every damned town I go, no one stands by another without some shooting at the other it's pretty bad no one keeps the guns in their pants. It's not going to end though, is it.

I went on yesterday for 3 hours (sat morning) it was a nightmare 6 lobbies, got griefed killed 11 times whilst in defense mode and it did work properly either.

 

Las kill i didn't parley i jumped on my horse and chased after him, took 5 to 6 mins to catch him as he run straight after sniping me, I loaded up my shotgun with incendiaries caught him and right at the moment i shot him he turned blue and died ig got thrown out of defense for being an aggressor. He left the session straight away 

 

R* at least gives us time to catch them if they run. Its just not right we get griefed and end up punished, This happens too often.

Is getting shot/killed really getting griefed, seems a very low tolerance threshold, especially considering the game being played.

I strolled into town yesterday and the floor was littered with cougars, so I picked them all up and sold them, they each disappeared, no idea how they got there is that the glitch?

They seem to have f*cked up spawn points again when you choose area from start menu. Two times I've choosen to start in Ambarino. Yesterday I spawned in Blackwater. Today in Amarillo.

I regularly get disconnects in free roam, but I noticed that poker lobbies are really stable for me. Weird.

You doing the 3 shotgun kill daily? Gun Rush works if showdowns are too buggy.

Finally managed to enter it. And then it's the bloody make it count with a bow. I'm starting to despise these pvp game modes more and more. Especially since you can't choose which of them you want to play.

Not only that. If you pitch your camp in a spot that’s already taken, you get to pay for it even if it goes somewhere else entirely. I tried pitching it in Cumberland Forest three times (my favourite spot for a large camp), and first it set up north of Saint Denis. Then I tried two more times and it went to Ambarino and then to, get this, RIO BRAVO! Each time I paid fully. If they don’t make the camp so that you can have it where you want, at least make it so we get a discount for getting it in a place we didn’t want.

 

Why is the camp not pitched in my favourite location when I spawn in the game anyway? That’s just stupid.

 

And why on earth can’t I have my camp set up in the snow? If I choose Ambarino, it always pitches in the southern east Grizzlies close to Bacchus Station. I want it way up around where Sadie Adler lives, because f*ck people.

Isn't that and old problem? Nowadays I usually don't have a problem with camp spawn. But earlier I could end up paying like 10 times trying to get my camp being set up in Bayou Nwa. Instead it always ended up somewhere else.

 

I like the idea with camp in snow. But they really should split Ambarino in Ambarino West and Ambarion East when you choose camp spawn. Today is too big of an area i think.

I cannot understand why we can't simply just place the camp like every other game on earth.

You choose camp from the wheel and an object showing the camp outline is shown, free to move around and place.

If it's red: try again in a different spot.

If green: here you go, a camp where you actually need it.

 

If Hello games can do it... it can't be that difficult

Wow, where to start; stranger missions are still all kinds of f*cked up atm. I accepted a mission from Tammy; it went through the cut scene and then nothing - it wouldn't launch at all. So, I switch lobbies and see that Tammy is greyed out, so I decide to visit Joe, who is not too far away from where I've spawned in.

 

Right before I get to Joe's, I collide whilst riding my horse with a deer, which instantly kills the deer. I jump off to skin it and it automatically drops the pelt every time I try and pick it up. Weird, but ok; it wasn't that important. I get to Joe's and decide to kill and skin his chickens before I go inside and accept the mission. I use a tomahawk and every time I skin one of them, the game has me pick up the dead chicken automatically, then it freezes up for about three seconds, and then I drop it. That's odd, I wasn't even trying to pick them up in the first place; why is it forcing me to do this?

 

I accept Joe's mission, which has a glitchy af start and it's a paid killing. So, just after I leave the cabin, I see this pop up:

 

Then 30 seconds later, as I'm riding, this happens:

 

Wtf is going on and why are half the targets already dead and another has died before I'm even half way there? Keep in mind, I'm not in a posse; I'm running this mission solo.

 

So, I get there and someone else, a random that I don't know, is apparently playing the exact same mission and mine seems to have overlapped with theirs. So, I kill the last two targets, as they've ran off in opposite directions and the random is still battling with the other enemies near the cabin. After I kill them both; it finishes, I receive a small payment, and then the screen goes black and says that I'm accepting a mission. Then it spawns me back at Joe's and I see this:

 

So, now I'm starting the same mission again, but I'm still not in a posse, despite what the screen says. When I get there, the random is gone and I'm able to finish it again; however, I've never seen this happen before. The lobby I was in prior to the one where Tammy's mission glitched out was so laggy that the screen was bouncing. That I have seen before and it went away after changing lobbies, but I guess that when two people accept a stranger mission from the same character, the game sometimes does not give them different missions and when that happens, they overlap with one another and glitch out.

 

Just so many bugs lately and the posse races were unable to be completed earlier because they were greyed out the entire time I played (and in two different lobbies) with my group of friends.

PS4. I tried that recently when I didn't receive my treasure map after reaching level 80. Those were the instructions that I were given from R*, but unfortunately it didn't work. However, they credited me with money and a bar of gold. I'm thinking it's not on my end though; everyone that I played with earlier was having some kind of issue with the game. Could be weekend traffic bogging down the servers, but I dunno. I'm starting to think that this game may have been better suited for next generation consoles; it's reminding me a lot of GTAO on PS3, but with more bugs and server issues.

 

I didn't know they raised the prices on canned items, but they've changed prices before and nerfed the payouts for certain animals and fish. I personally don't think it has to do with people glitching; it's just something they do and have done before. I've never even bought canned food myself; it's freely available in most lootable interiors and camps.

Well, Im on XBox One and it seems that PS4 has more "issues" with both stranger missions and stability in general...

 

Back to speaking of prices, canned peas was 35c now its 75c and most othter canned goods is $1 or more...

Anyone experiencing stutter? Like the game freezes for half a second every 2 seconds. That goes on for 8 minutes and then disappears.

 

 

How do I clean the cache on PS4? Never did it before.

 Don't be so sure, also on XB1, just had three crashes, & a glitch where my character kept falling through the ground. It's be 20 mins since I logged in . . .

I've had this this happen several times, both as the person that started the mission and as the random that happens to stumble upon it. On the randoms end, they don't see it as a mission, just a bunch of enemy NPC's standing around.

 

I've had steal a wagon before and when I got there all the NPC's were dead. Just the other day a friend and I were looting Hanging Dog Ranch, when we exited the house there were NPC's shooting so we shot a few, thinking it was weird at first, I looked over and saw a wagon, then I knew what was going on, someone's mission went active while we were inside.

 

While the being in a posse and restarting the mission were bugs, the random  person being there was because they just happened to come across it.

Yes, but it usually lasts longer; it was so bad in the lobby earlier that I had to switch. I've seen It happen a few times; it looks like lag, but my connection is decent enough, so I'm not sure. However, it did happen again just a few minutes ago during a stranger mission when the red dot NPCs appeared, but it went away once I killed them all.

 

As for clearing the cache; there are a few methods. R* instructed me to shut down the system completely, reload, and then hold L1 and R1 as I load up the game. I've heard that powering down, unplugging the system for a minute or two, and then reloading works, and eh, I think there's some way by manually deleting some files in the system storage folder but I'm not doing that, lol. However, something that I do every now and then is rebuild the database in safe mode. It doesn't delete anything, but can make things run a bit better - I suppose it's kind of like running a disc defragment on a PC.

Wow, that's so weird, but makes sense! I've yet to be on the other end; I just thought the game was f*cked up because of the other things I had experienced today. Lol, the random was probably just as confused as I was and they likely didn't get anything aside from the loot; that is, if they even bothered to loot all of the NPCs they had killed.

Yeah it is weird, especially the first time it happens. It only happened to me once, maybe twice as my mission, but I've encountered others missions plenty of times. You can't take a wagon or horse for example since the mission pretty much just started. I cleared out like 6 enemies guarding a wagon, then the 2 person posse showed up and thought I was trying to steal it and shot me, I was like, hey I just helped you out lol.

i swear rdo is still a buggy mess, today i've had rdo crash on me, freeze, i've even had griefers blow my head off 20 - 30 seconds after i've activated defensive mode in free roam.

Well, the first 2 are bugs yes, but the third is just assholes. Defensive Mode doesn't make you invulnerable.

But yes, the servers are still crap, it is amazing that this is still a thing. Whoever is in charge of the servers, keeping them online and stable, should be ashamed of themselves.
